  1. I went with The North Face. We'll see how it goes.
  2. Yup. 1 per 30 days. It's a hoarding law.
  3. It looks like a mouse having anal with a hippo.... or what Tom calls "his 1st marriage". Lol
  4. I always carry appendix. Sometimes I ALSO carry 4 o'clock. Appendix is the fastest and most concealable. 4 o'clock is 100x more comfortable
  5. https://youtu.be/xZzEzDkeHzI
  6. Wtg! Nice work
  7. It doesnt matter how big it is... we have a fuxkin suppressed tank!! Just knowing that will flip some people's shit. Just wait till BAE gets their hands on this for their next generation tank.
  8. Did you just necro your own post?
  9. I'll bet the m700 bbl sells for nearly the price of a decent 308AR bbl and a cheap clamp on GB, installed crooked.
  10. Nice! I love my Mega.
  11. SLR Rifleworks makes a 16.5" for the AR-15 and a 16" for the .308 (DPMS)
  12. For a .308 or AR15?
  13. I did it with their very available HP ammo.
  14. As an LEO, I have to shake my head at what people think I wear. How many times have I heard it called "Bullet Proof Armor"??? I am issued a new lvl IIIA vest every 5 years. We currently upgraded our budget to about $900 per officer... that's front/rear panels, two concealable carriers and the ballistic insert... Survival Armor "Falcon6" if anyone wants to look it up. It's honestly the best-of-the-best when ithe comes to LEO concealable armor... still not "rifle rated". I've contemplated buying lvl 3 or 4 armor for myself, but I honestly could not do my job in that armor. It's too bulky and too heavy. Cops aren't clueless in this matter. It says right on the front cover what will and what will NOT be stopped by our armor. There's still a bunch of agencies that only issue lvl II armor... which doesn't even protect against magnum handgun loads. 2 years ago I shot the FN 5.7 at a retired vest. Every round penetrated both panels of our lvl IIIA armor (minus the ballistic plate insert, because those don't retire). So now what? Do we ban the 5.7x28 too? The .22WMR will penetrate as well... I hear the 7.62x25 does a decent job on some armors as well... Just wait till some forward thinker brings forward the 9x25 Dillon, and shows what a 90gr projectile does at 2100 fps.... (ps. I want one!) Why stop there... anyone have any idea what a Gamo Hunter Extreme, loaded with .177 PBA ammo, will do to a vest?
  15. Honorable mention... Oakley SI Assault gloves are really good too. I literally wear these till they fall apart at the threads. My only gripe with them was the carbon fiber knuckles can be uncomfortable till the gloves are REALLY worn in. This is the reason why I like the SI Lightweight gloves so much. For me, by the time the knuckles get comfortable, I've already worn through 1 or 2 fingers and usually a section of the palm.
  16. I almost forgot... Sitka Gear makes a shooting glove. It was really nice, and affordable, but near identical to the PIG Glove. Lastly there is "Line Of Fire" or LoF Gloves... these are like the Lamborghini of gloves. I used to have a 50% off code, but it expired in Feb. I really wanted to order a pair of their gloves, but they were out of stock in the size/color I wanted.
  17. Farkle is going to recommend Pig gloves. Lol (I beat you to it). IMHO, I tried them and I'll be buying a pair soon too. Oakley SI Lightweight Gloves... Effin' awesome gloves... as long as you don't use them as work gloves, like me. I went through two or three pair in short order. They were so comfortable that I wore them for EVERYTHING. Mechanix MPACT... I have been wearing these on duty for a few months now. They even have a "tactical" line (Covert and MultiCam). I ended up cutting the padding out of the palm on my right hand. For duty use it made my grip too thick to grab my .45.
  18. So I went to the local REI to try on boots... of course they don't have the black versions, but I tried as close as possible. I tried the: • Lowa Zephyr - in all fairness, they didn't have my size, so I won't give them a negative review. They were a little more "boot" than I was looking for. Very tall, compared to what I'm used to. • Vasque - heavier than I wanted. Fit was ok. • NorthFace - Wow! These felt like sex! Of course the only pair they had looked like I'd only be having gay sex. What man wears neon green hiking boots? • Salomon - I still think I'm going to order these first. Based strictly on reviews. The ones I tried in the store felt super narrow, but they weren't the same as the ones I'll be ordering.
  19. I have the Tubb CS flat spring in my .308 along with one of Slash's x-heavy carbine buffers. It works like a charm.
  20. I might know a guy... completely off the grid in faaaaar north Cali... who is a big fan of military "art pieces"... He may have bough one of those de-mil'd kits from over seas... he may also be an exquisite machinist on the side, retired and have nothing better to do.... Just saying... he MAY exist... I MAY know him... and I MAY know what this is for...
  21. I wear the Merrell MOAB for daily shoes... I need a new duty (LE) boot. The only requirement is that it has to be 100% black. My requirements are waterproof and lightweight. A composite toe would be nice too. If you know of a solid black Merrell, please share.
  22. I tried on the Salomon, and they were too narrow. I'm looking at the Lowa Zephyr now. The 5.11 XPRT 2.0 is still an option, but I hear they run narrow too.
  23. SI-D does too... or at least they did when I bought mine from them. I had them send a NiB barrel extension to PROOF Research to finish my carbon fiber wrapped barrel.
  24. The extractor isn't designed to work like that. Either use more force or strip off the extractor and try again.
