  1. I have been shopping for an eight shot 357. Currently I’m leaning 60:40 on S & W over a Ruger Redhawk. The 627/327 is sexy AF, but the Red hawk is built like a tank. I’m almost positive I want to four-inch, and I am absolutely positive that I do not want a Taurus. What do you guys think? What do you guys know? I don’t want this gun for anything important. I’m not focused on CCW, or competition, or even target shooting. Mostly just looking for something to open carry around a camp or around the ranch, that will give me some versatility with different loads. I also like to pack my Browning .357 lever action around... and that whole thing about same round for your long gun and pistol argument. I primarily like the 357 for the eight round capacity and the ability to shoot 357, 38, and 9mm. After seeing the “thunder ranch“ model, I’m kind of tempted to go the .45 route, and shoot Long colt and ACPs. It’s only a six shot versus the eight shot… But it’s a 45!
  2. PSA forged receiver = $39ea While as impractical as it looks, I’ve wasted a lot more money on very similar endeavors. Lol

  4. If you absolutely want the lightening cuts under the rail, they will be a lot easier to have done then a custom barrel nut.
  5. Don’t hurt yourself over this. PRI makes a MK12 Mod 0 handguard. Just go pick out the appropriate carbon fiber tube for your rifle, then select the 14 or 15 inch top rail that you want to use with the handguard… .308 MK 12 Mod 0 complete.
  6. Crap! I totally forgot about this. Sorry LT.
  7. I need to update my dedicated .22lr. I think the Redi-mag is going in the cart ASAP.
  8. I recently found a box of “stuff”. I packed away without really checking the inventory. If none of these guys come up with anything else, I will pull out the box later tonight and check the contents.
  9. They are estimating at least 1.5mil magazines sold during the 7 days of freedom. My LGS has a store here and in Reno/Sparks, NV. On the first day, he had every single magazine in his NV store driven to the CA store. Rumor was that he had $150k in magazines overnight shipped to his CA store... plus his NV inventory. He sold every single mag. From this... To this...
  10. I’ve even kick started a side charger before.
  11. It already isIt already is
  12. I have been watching this for almost 4 or 5 months now. This has the potential to be the greatest DC movie ever made.
  13. I have a few hex mags. I have no issues with them at all. They won’t be replacing my lancer mags, but they are absolutely fine for just about every other kind of shooting
  14. No problem. It looks like the question has been popping up since about 2006 or 2008. Many have stated that they inquired with DPMS directly… But nobody has confirmed a response. The best answer would be to send your serial number to Remington/DPMS and request a history on it. They should be able to tell you exactly who made the barrel, if it came as a complete assembly.
  15. It is a factory DPMS LR308. We never figured out what the barrel stamp was, but the question comes up pretty regularly online… And always from a factory DPMS rifle.
  16. @ARTrooperI'm jealous...
  17. I have been watching that same Burris for a while for a while. I had even debated a red dot, with a long eye relief magnifier. Vortex also makes one, but it’s quite a bit heavier… But I also trust Vortex more than I trust Burris.
  18. That .260 gas hole has to look like a mosquito’s butt hole!
  19. My Ruger GSR is my most favorite rifle to shoot. Especially suppressed. The MVP wasn’t available when I bought my GSR. I probably would’ve bought that rifle instead. I can’t complain too much. I picked my GSR up from a friend. I honestly don’t have more than about $300 invested in it. Im currently running a 2x pistol scope. Debated about going to a RDS... although I spotted a 1-4x pistol scope recently, and that seemed like a decent plan. Wished it was 2-7x.
  20. Soooo childish
  21. Yes! That’s the one.
  22. My NF scope has two NV settings before I get to an actual lit reticle. In pitch black, I can barely make them out with my naked eye. To be honest, 99% of the time my batteries are dead and I don’t bother.
