  1. Your sentiment is always appreciated. You're insight will be missed.
  2. Yes, you need a low profile gas block... BUT only if you want your APEX tube to cover your gas block. If you want to use your gas block as a front sight, you can leave the gas block exposed and get a tube short enough to use. That's what many of us did.
  3. ^^^ I like this guy already
  4. Well everyone can thank Croaker for his input. I will never censor anyone's post here... well except 98Z5V... Looks like I have to rethink people's need to edit a post. Obviously we all make mistakes/typos... so a generous 30 minute window will suffice. We're all adults here, and ultimately responsible for the diarrhea we spew from time to time. None of us are immune to the "Caca Della Boca"
  5. Looks like we have to quote everything before people decide to "Hillary Clinton" their records
  6. The theory is the strobe disorients and prevents the subjects eyes from adjusting to the change in light.
  7. Because some guys love their guns.... and some guys "LOVE" their guns.
  8. I'd like to point out, you have beautiful eyes.
  9. Is this your first billet receiver set? I agree the spring sticks out a bit, but the fix is so simple it's not worth addressing. You don't have to bend anything, just remove the cover and wind the spring an extra rotation. That'll give you more tension AND shrink down the small arm. As for the raised area for the grip... I have to disagree with you there. Why is a receiver mfgr required to make their product compatible with a $15 or $20 grip? Honestly, if I were the manufacturer, I'd only check my receiver against the A2 grip and then maybe a handful of Magpul grips. Having owned MANY billet receivers, some fitting is usually required when building.
  10. Yeah, because an Asian guy in a sports car really stands out in the Bay Area.... RoR
  11. The ending of this video couldve been much different
  12. Or if you make eye contact!!
  13. +1
  14. Wait... How old are we talking? 392Heminut old or Survivalshop old???
  15. Well done. It doesn't get much better than that!
  16. That's probably the nicest Kukri Ive ever seen
  17. Right side drive is always a dead giveaway. We get salvage cars from OR all the time. The Russians sanitize the VINs through their businesses. The VIN bounces so many times no one can keep track. I think companies like Car Fax is fcuking up their process.
  18. I've been looking into this since it first posted. In California... I can't speak for all those backwards states you inbreeders come from... As long as the vehicle is wheeled, has a VIN, and had all the required lighting/safety/emission equipment, it should be able to be registered. I have a friend (retired highway patrol) who owns a shiit ton of mil veh's just for collecting. From Willys to Half Tracks. I've been trying to contact him for answers, but he moved off the grid after retirement.
  19. The only gun I'd replace my Marlin 45-70 with, is the same rifle in .500 S&W.
  20. Welcome, from the 916 (originally 707)
  21. From PROOF Research: Done <thumbsup> Tula ammo is barely worthy of being a combat load, being mostly 147gr FMJ, and also grossly under-powered. The Winchester ammo should have grouped much better and, despite being slightly heavier, were probably flying at a faster velocity. If you switch over to the Lake City NATO ammo, you'll get better results than that communist ammo. That stuff is great for break in and plinking.... and that's about where it ends. Ejection should be between 2 and 4 o'clock. You're fine as long as it is cycling. Comfort can be adjusted easily and affordable. A simple stock and pistol grip swap can be done with standard household tools. A muzzle brake can also make a noticeable difference in shooting, and be done for less that $100.
  22. .50 GI is available in a 1911...
  23. Crimson took the words right out of my mouth. I think the small relief would look perfect, and very "one of a kind". Mated parts always look best.
  24. Sweet thing about the .460 S&W... you can also shoot .45LC and .454 Casull. Do they make those moon clips for the .45ACP? I know I have some for 9mm to shoot out of my .357mag.
