  1. I tell ya... they'll be worth more to me than some useless gold/silver/platinum
  2. That little girl is over 3800 now....
  3. I have the Note3. .. great phone
  4. Ps. I ended up making a pine version of the one shown in the OP. It works ok, and as the ends get chewed up, I toss them and make another.
  5. Farkle bought the KAC tool that engages the barrel extension inside the upper. It was super easy to use and didn't break the bank. If I remember correctly, it was good for the LR308, the AR10 and the AR15...
  6. Those were some dirty bitchess.
  7. You definitely get what you pay for in this industry
  8. I'm going to be the bad guy here... First, scopes with a 50mm bell have a very difficult time fitting an AR. They have to sit so high, you'll need an expensive stock (or stock add on components) to compensate. Otherwise you'll never get a proper cheek weld. Second, you bought the AP4... which is absolutely fine, and a very decent rifle... but you have a Looooong range scope for it? That power range is way over what that rifle should be wearing. A 3-9x would have sufficed. Maybe a 4-12x at max. Last... that Sightmark is going to get beat to shitt on a .308. You could've found a Bushnell, Burris or Vortex for around $100-$125, that would outlast the Sightmark. Personally, I'd start over from scratch.
  9. Was Rene a Jet or a Shark?
  10. Those are .308 loads?
  11. Check out the Cason Engineering enhanced 7.62x39 bolt. If you're opposed to an AR-47 lower (which uses standard AK mags) the ASC mags really aren't that bad
  12. Have you really been sitting on this for a year??
  13. Great news. I can't wait to see it.
  14. I just text my buddy to tell him I was re-telling his story.... He says the bullet was a .25 Auto, not a .22lr...
  15. A buddy of mine is shaped like a bowling ball. He's 5'06" 290 lbs. He got shot with a .22lr (in the hip) outside of a bar one night. He told me later that the impact hit him so hard in the hip that it doubled him over and he hit the ground. Then he jumped up and ran for cover inside the bar... The bullet hit his heavy leather belt and didn't penetrate through. A small bruise was the only damage.
  16. You know who else says "I have not committed a crime, I'm not a threat"..... people who've committed crimes and are a threat... I hope there was an educational experience that followed up after the video cuts out. In my experience, the guiltiest parties are the loudest... I'm glad they got a portion of his crybaby act on video.
  17. Oh crap, another one... nothing good ever comes out of MA. Lol Welcome to your new drug pusher. Check out NEMO barrels. I picked up the exact barrel you described last year. The guy who owns it now has shot it out to 1k yards.
  18. Absolutely! A rifle length would be really nice too... maybe better.
  19. I had the opportunity to shoot with the CEO of SWORD-Int recently (ret. Army Ranger) and they practice this style of shooting in their "Thriving in Chaos" firearms training. Current operators ABSOLUTELY use this style of shooting. When practiced, and aptly trained, it surpasses the abilities of the "Camp Perry" shooting positions. I'm not saying it is "more accurate", just that it has more combat oriented application that past practice. (PS... I am a, P.O.S.T. Certified, LE Tactical Rifle Instructor, and I use and train this style of shooting... for work, not hunting or paper killing)
  20. While I hold fast that a fully loaded, +10 lbs AR, equipped with a solid aluminum stock would work best... The technology is still circa NAM-era. I should point out that the Magpul UBR is a gawdam boat anchor, AND it was noted as having the best performance in the documented "drop test", AND it's the only stock I'm aware of that can be outfitted with a "Magpul Strike Plate".
  21. Or do what I do and get yourself a Bubba... They're like a lead sled, but they reload and being beer.
  22. My deadline in 12/31 or never.... I just keep reciting... "Help me Shibiwan you're my only hope."
  23. Using a sled should reduce the operator error to nil. If your rifle is shooting jagged holes from a sled, but buck shot patterns when in hand, you know the err is not in the rifle.
  24. My wife would wear that!
  25. Great looking stick. Welcome.
