  1. I've seen a stainless safety lever replacement already for the FNX. There're mag extensions coming very soon. From simple +1 to SMG length. There's even rumor of a new trigger system. Wouldn't mind something like the Glock fulcrum triggers. I'm definitely going for the NiB coated RMR. Just gotta decide on which model.
  2. I need to eventually get a .40cal. I have over 3k sitting in my garage from surplus range ammo.
  3. Oh yeah... duh! :hunter:
  4. I'm looking or a new duty gun. It has to be a DA/SA auto in 9, 40 or 45 (from a list of mfg's). My current Rosco is a Sig P220 Elite Stainless Carry. It's a damn good gun, but it's having issues with Win Ranger T-Series ammo. I'd also like more rounds between reloads. Having a MRDS wouldn't hurt either!!!
  5. So I'm pretty dead set on a FN-H FNX .45 for my next Rosco. I just can't decide if I want the standard or the "tactical" model. Besides the threaded barrel and raised sights, I can't find any other differences between the two?????? On one side, I really like the stainless upper on the standard. On the other side I like the extra .5" barrel and MRDS mount. I already found a company that'll mill the slide for an RMR, so that part is covered. I don't think I need a threaded barrel, because I can't own a can in CA. The only benefit would be to maybe put a LWD comp on the end?? Anyone know if there are more benefits to a "Tactical" model over the standard? I've already caught wind of upgraded parts, triggers and extended mags (from +1 to x2 lengths). I'm excited for 15+1 on the hip, with 20 round reloads. That's a lot of lead!!!
  6. I have a huge box of those at work. We give them out for free, no questions asked. Most of the time ofc's use them to lock their gear... Like, hypothetically, a motorcycle cop could MAYBE use one to secure his helmet to his bike... Just as an example.
  7. All the normal shit. Most of you have very similar lists.... My rarities list: Sharps Shiloh 45-120 Sharps Shiloh 50-110 Winchester 1973 38-40 Winchester 1976 50-95 Express My wish list is a LaMat Revolver!
  8. When I grow up, I want to look like this guy!!!
  9. Date of Incident: 21 September 2013 Time of Incident: 11:34 p.m. Fallen Officer's Name: Jon Coutchie Agency: Laguna Beach Police Department Cause of Death: Collision with pickup truck while responding to call Circumstances: Laguna Beach Police Department Officer Jon Coutchie was riding his departmental motorcycle n/b on Pacific Coast Hwy responding to a call. As he approached the intersection of Cleo Street a pickup truck, driven by a 20 year old male, turned left into the path of the officer. Officer Coutchie collided with the passenger side of the truck and sustained fatal injuries. Laguna Beach PD requested departmental assistance. Capistrano Area and Border Division MAIT responded to the scene. There is no indication the driver of the truck was under the influence. Officer Coutchie was a 6 year veteran of the Laguna Beach PD. He was single with no family in the immediate area.
  10. I use up all my smartz 4 da day... I go drag nukles now
  11. Lol... That's a true testament to the statement! I went on a blind date YEARS ago. The chick had that same (although grammatically correct) tattoo on the side of her neck... I knew immediately that was going to be a good date :bj: ... And that I wouldn't have to feel bad about not calling her later, because she's already committed to regretting nothing <thumbsup>
  12. Depending on the magnification power of the scope, you won't even see the front sight post. At a low magnification (3-7x) you may see a slight blur at the bottom of your FoV. Once you get passed 7x the blur is near invisible. The scopes can't focus on light that close to the lens. Due to the convex of the lens, they literally bend light around the post and focus beyond the post. Its similar to how your pistols sights blur when getting a sight picture. Here is a picture to help explain. The focal point would be your target, and the front post would be directly in front of the lens. You can see how much light travels around the front post.
  13. I wish it were that easy to move for some of the rest of us.
  14. As soon as Brownells has them, I'll drop my order for a couple... Even if they're not colored, I can always break out the rattle can.
  15. I love Rainiers for random specialty stuff, but I'd really like to offload some of these Brownells gift cards.
  16. I just fixed a FTF issue for a friends 300Blk. He was an easy quick fix. Luckily I noticed he ha an A5 buffer and spring in a standard carbine receiver extention. A quick order from DSGArm got a VLTOR A5 tube to my door in a few days. 10 mins later I had him up and ready to shoot.
  17. Any chance we'll see a combo ETP/EPP and BAD-CASS-45 package... In OD Green!
  18. Don't they use the Sage kit still? I know the designation is the M14EBR or Mk14EBR. Rumor has it that the M110 is quickly replacing the M14's
  19. This scope just went up for sale yesterday. I ordered mine last night, with the ADM AD-Recon mount. Just got confirmation that it is shipping today! <thumbsup> http://www.primaryarms.com/Primary-Arms-1-6X-Scope-with-ACSS-Reticle-p/pa1-6xrbd.htm Depending on how much I like it, and if they are still in stock, I may buy another one.
  20. I just bought mine! They emailed the gift card to me within seconds.
  21. PA 1-6x24 Illuminated scope with ADM AD-Recon mount.
  22. I thought it was from gunshots and rap music.... Damn it. I'm a Raiders fan, and I still get baited into slamming them.
  23. 1. Unlikely you'll experience any issues with that barrel. If anything, you might be better off with a heavier buffer instead of the adj GB. 2. Yes. Also check out heavybuffers.com for the appropriate buffer/spring combo. 3. No .308 LPKs, yet. I suggest the Armalite LPK. The parts should be compatible, and IMHO are better made than DPMS, et al. Just double check that you get the AR-10A magazine release, not the AR-10B. 4. Yes. There are some .308 specific triggers out there. They just have heavier hammers and hammer springs. You're ok with jut about any trigger. Just know that some of the high speed 3-gun triggers are known for light strikes. You may hit issues with sturdy NATO primers. Welcome to our club house!
