  1. Focus on the BCG and barrel first. The other parts will come in and out of stock all the time. For some reason the first two come in LOOOONNG spread out waves. Whoever is making those parts waits to ship them out in bulk to all the suppliers.
  2. No worries. On a decent upper, you can crank up to 120#. Having 35-90 is normal. Some guys like to be on the extremes of those weights.
  3. DAMN YOU BROWNELLS AND YOUR "BLACK RIFLE FRIDAY"!!! $830 later... :cookoo:
  4. All I read was, "subsonic blah-blah-SOCOM-blah-blah polymer casings...." F@#% yeah! Make my 300 Blackout even cheaper to shoot!
  5. Troy Alpha Rail is the best option! (IMO) First you need an AR10 barrel nut HERE Then you need the Troy TRX-308 12" HERE If you like the look of the FF tube overlapping the muzzle device, You can also check out the Troy TRX-308 13.8" HERE
  6. Hey! I was at that gun show! I missed out on a Rossi "Mare's Leg" for $375 by about 20 minutes >:(
  7. Fidelis ARMS and Fidelis FIREARMS are not the same company. Fidelis Arms is from Oregon Fidelis Firearms is from Wisconsin Semper Fidelis Arms is from Minnesota Fidelis Arms is also known as "Center Mass Tactical". I have to ask, where did you find one of their lowers? Would you mind letting us know how much it cost?
  8. If you can post a picture, we might be able to tell right away. There's a high likelihood that it is a G3 lower. That shouldn't be a huge deterent though. G3 magazines usually cost $5 each. You can thank all the European and South American surplus for that. I'd still call CMMG. I'll bet they're your best source of information for compatible parts.
  9. I really hate to be the bearer of bad news....
  10. +1 Mil surplus rarely goes much more than that.
  11. The KSG was a great idea that never should have been given to KelTec. That was product suicide from the beginning.
  12. What about the Mini14 or the M1A versions? Can they be used?
  13. Like THIS?
  14. I think I found a preexisting bug is still affecting the new site. I was on the other day and my credit card was charged several hundred dollars. <lmao>
  15. You forgot her "308AR.com" tattoo <laughs>
  16. I'm not sure what it would sound like with a standard round spring. I used a Tubb CS flat spring. That combo was extremely solid and quiet. The Enidine buffer is heavier than a standard A2 buffer. That helped to slow the cyclic rate, which softened the recoil. The hydraulic softens the impact of the BCG going back into battery. It made for a very even keeled shot.
  17. Of course fresh catch over the campfire can't be beat. I love a rainbow trout, caked in lemon pepper, garlic salt and butter, wrapped in foil, and tossed on the coals. I was cooking salmon at home tonight and realized it was already 8pm when I started dinner. I had big plans for a Whiskey marinade I read about, but time was gone. Instead I laid out two narrow cut steaks and covered them with McCormicks "lemon and herb". Then I sliced a lemon really thin and draped the slices over the meat. Last I drizzled some olive oil over everything. Tossed the whole thing in the oven and broiled on high for 14 minutes. Total prep+cook time was less than 20 mins. This was completely a blind cook, but I loved every bite! The lemon practically melted into the fish, and the meat flaked perfectly. I couldn't be more satisfied with little bit of creativity tonight. How do you guys like 'em done?
  18. And thanks to that, FFL's everywhere were able to buy the Bren Ten for $200 and sell them to fans for triple. My family used to have an FFL, and my father made a mint on those pistols through the 80's.
  19. The print is good, just muck up the color on the furniture a bit. Use some dirty grease or oil to stain it a hair darker. Then clean up the excess. They won't be perfect, but they can be damned close.
  20. Are you changing from a two piece handguard to a free-float rail system? What kind of gas block do you have now, and what kind of gas block do you plan on going to? Generally, First the muzzle device is removed. Next the gas block is removed. If the current handguard is a standard two piece system, that can be removed prior to the gas block. I usually change the gas tube the same time as the gas block since it's just a quick $10-$15 part, so no reason to take the old gas tube out of the old gas block. Next the barrel nut must come off, but only if the new handguard or free float tube requires a new barrel nut. If the same nut is going to be used for the next accessory, then start reassembling. You don't need to pull the barrel out of the receiver, and it's easier to work on the parts of the barrel is left in the receiver. Just work backwards from there. Barrel nut goes back on, either the handguard/free-float or the gas block goes on next (depending on what combo you are using). Last reattach the muzzle device. Worst case scenario. I think if I had a standard carbine with a taper pinned A2 front sight gas block and delta ring assembly, and I was upgrading to a low profile gas block with a free float tube... I would have the work done in about two hours, tops. That would give me enough time to finish the job, clean up my work and enjoy my coffee. The one system that would add a considerable amount of time is the Daniel Defense rails. That's only because all those damned allen screws that are required to mount the rail.
  21. So to answer your original question, about 2550 fps (give or take 25fps)
  22. If only there was a place that kept records of Ballistics By The Inch... <lmao>
  23. SOLD... SOLD... SOLD... I'm down sizing my rifle and want to offer this buffer to a new home. Exactly 160 rounds on this buffer. I love it, but I'm changing from a rifle length to a carbine, and have no use for this size anymore. This same buffer sells on Brownells for $100 Enidine rifle length .308 hydraulic buffer $XX shipped to your door (Price removed for the buyers sake. He would've got a better deal if he were a 308ar.com member. Instead he bought it from "another site" and paid a sizable difference)
  24. The 16" LaRue OBR, to me, is the most versatile rifle on the market. Close range to long range, that rifle can do it. My only other option would be the Colt CM901. Although that would consist of carrying two uppers. Maybe a 20" accurized .308, and a 9" .300blk. Both options are over $3k though. I just don't look at GAP as a "Tactical Rifle". What's "Tactical" about killing paper you can't see with the naked eye? Personally, if I were on a budget, and HAD to buy off the shelf, I'd but the AR10A or the DPMS Recon. Both are $1500, which saves me lots of $$$ for extra goodies. Anyone that says those are shitty rifles, needs to sell all their guns and get into knitting. They obviously have no clue wtf they are talking about, and they need a new hobby.
