Anyone have expeience with a Sig 239 9mm? (For wife)
Robocop1051 replied to SPBCTS's topic in Handguns
My wife and I are both LEO. My wife, also 5'02" 125#, carries the Sig P239 .40 for her duty carry. I carried the P226 for 10 years, through the academy and through patrol. My only gripe was it wasn't a 45... So I bought the P220 Carry Elite. My wife shoots laser beams out of her itty-bitty Sig. I got her the short reset sear too. It helps a lot. She is also a big fan of Glocks due to their light weight. I ordered her a 4th Gen G23 "Blue Label" but it hasn't come in yet. She has a full size G17 she plays with too. -
Subject: OPLAN 1225C (PLAN CHRISTMAS) (U) Department of the Army HQ, XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg Fort Bragg, North Carolina 28310-0000 AFZA-GC 18 December 2012 1. An official visit by MG Santa (NMI) Claus is expected in this command 25DEC0001Zulu2012. The following instructions will be in effect and govern the activities of all personnel during the visit: a. Not a creature will stir without official permission. This will include indigenous mice and protected species—especially red-cockaded woodpeckers. Special stirring permits for necessary administrative actions will be obtained through normal command channels. Mice stirring permits will be obtained through the Office of Corps Surgeon,Veterinary Services. b. Personnel will settle their brains for a long winter nap prior to 24DEC2300Zulu12. Uniform for the nap will be: Pajamas, cotton, light, drowsing, Shade 334 (OD) with Kerchief, general purpose, camouflage; and Cap, camouflage w/ear flaps. Equipment will be drawn from CIF prior to 23DEC0100Zulu12. Personnel will draw three caps in order to achieve zero balance priority order status then immediately turn in one as excess to fill priority requisition. c. Personnel will utilize standard A-ration sugar plums, two (2) per soldier, for visions to dance through their heads. This item will be drawn from the servicing dining facility. Operational reserve stocks of Meals, Ready-to-Eat (MRE) will not be issued for this purpose. d. Stockings, wool, cushion sole, OD will be hung by the chimney with care. Necessary safety precautions will be taken to avoid fire hazards caused by carelessly hung stockings close to chimneys. (See paragraph 2, below). Unit Safety Officers will submit stocking-hanging plans to this headquarters prior to 20DEC0600Zulu12, ATTN: AEAGA-S, for approval. e. At the first sign of clatter from the lawn, all troops will spring from their beds to evaluate noise and cause. Immediate action will be taken to tear-open the shutters and throw-open the window sashes. ACofS, G-3 “OPLAN SAINT NICK,” Reference Letter Order (LO) No. 3, paragraph 6c, this headquarters, 2 February 1995, will be in effect to facilitate shutter-tearing-open and sash-throwing. Division chiefs will familiarize all personnel with procedures and are responsible for ensuring that no shutters are torn open and no window sashes thrown prior to start of official clatter. f. Prior to 24DEC12 at EENT, all personnel will be assigned “Wondering Eyes” stations. After shutters are torn and sashes are thrown, these stations will be manned and operational. NODs will be issued and employed IAW unit/organization TOE/TDA. g. ACoS, G-4 will ensure assignment of one (1) each Sleigh, miniature, M-66, and eight (8) Deer, rein, tiny, for use of MG Claus’ driver. Said driver will, IAW current directives and other applicable regulations, have a valid operators license Special Form (SF) 56 properly annotated by Driver Testing; be authorized rooftop parking for all structures; and be able to shout, “On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer and Vixen, up Comet, up Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen.” Neither MG Claus nor his driver will be required to complete property accountability documentation, as such action may result in lumps of coal in combat boots. h. Due to heavy aircraft traffic in the AO and ADIZ, and the threat of mid-air collisions, the lead Deer, rein, tiny will have a visible red strobe light mounted on its nose. Infra-red filter will not, repeat, not be used. 2. MG Claus will enter buildings, quarters, bunkers, and fighting positions through standard chimneys. All units without standard chimneys, such as those units deployed in tactical situations and having only hasty fighting positions, will draw Simulator, Chimney, M-6A1E2, for use during ceremonies. M-6A1E2 chimney simulator units will be requested on Engineer Job Order Request Form submitted to the Furniture Warehouse prior to 12DEC0900Zulu12, and issued on DA Form 3161, Request for Issue or Turn-In. 3. Personnel will be rehearsed on shouting “Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.” This shout will be given vigorously and in unison on departure of MG Claus from each visit location. Uniformity of shouting is the responsibility of unit commanders and staff division chiefs. (Note: Tactical units in contact with aggressor forces may submit a request for exception to shouting, and, with approval by a first-level general officer, may forego actual shouting. Instead, those personnel of units with approved exemptions will silently mouth the words “Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night” in unison so as to maintain tactical noise discipline. To preclude abuse of such an exception, first-level general officers will exercise discretion and conservative approval of only the most compelling and well-documented requests.) What do you have on order or in the mail?
Robocop1051 replied to imschur's topic in General Discussion
I made a sign for my front yard that says, "Please don't victimize me." I also bought a 'rape whistle' and I have been practicing my mean-face in the mirror. -
Some of you may remember a few months ago I built a 7.62x39 rifle. I removed the original A1 stock and replaced it with a RRA Operator A2 Stock (FDE). It looks like another face lift is in order, and this stock needs a new home to fund the next venture. This stock is practically brand new. The buffer, spring and buffer tube are completely UNUSED (since I already had those same parts installed). I'm asking for $125 (shipped) from here. It'll be higher on "other" sites. I can send fresh pics if you need, by text or email Disclaimer (for Tom and Greg): All "fresh pics" are of the stock only. Stop sending me special requests for more pics! <lmao>

That's some good lookin wood there <thumbsup>

I had one in my rifle. When I changed stocks I had to lose it. It worked fine for me.
-
I'll start getting my parts ready for shipping <thumbsup> <lmao>

MagPul Stealth Grey - and Pink!
Robocop1051 replied to 98Z5V's topic in Firearm Industry News and Gossip
I'm all over that Stealth Grey like a fat kid at a pizza party!! -
I'll be damned! So with a file and a little blood, sweat and tears... You can have a full capacity mag?
-
I'm from the Santa Rosa area, but now I'm near downtown Sac.
-
Sounds like it'll be a nail driver. <thumbsup> What part of NorCal? I'm from Sonoma County originally. Now in Sac County.
-
That's no bueno! :sad3: You say he started on the insurance portion of this... Let's hope that comes through for y'all. Good luck with this. I look forward to the rebuttal <munch>

Magwa, you know we love ya man, but you are taking on more than you can handle. If you don't have all the tools you need, I guarantee you're going to fuck up your rifle. An AR wrench and a table vise (with blocks) are damn near a must. Seek out a local friend or family that can fill the gaps in your toolbox

What do you guys think of the straight-arm forward hold?
Robocop1051 replied to Madhouse's topic in Tactics and Training
That grip was not designed for combat tactical shooting. It was designed for short term run-n-gun. You can swing your rifle in a quick 30-40 degree arc. Target acquisition is near instantaneous. Over travel/swing of your barrel is almost extinct. It is not a mobile grip. It is not a precision long distance grip. Costa talks about the grip in one of his earlier "Dynamics" videos. -
I shot 98's two pistols. One 7.5" with a Kx3 and one 11.5" with a flashhider. The 7.5" was more pleasant to shoot. Problem was that it is long and heavy. I too am working on a pistol. I'm pretty sure it will be a 10.5" with a BC v2.0.... I'll go to 11.5" if KAC will make me their CQB-SBR as a pistol.

Delta ring disassembly is easy. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull out the C-ring, then the parts just come apart. Quick and easy. Your roll pin should be transferrable. Don't cut anything. Only quitters cut.
-
Huh? Why is this? I was lead to believe the 7.62x40 used a resized 5.56x45 casing. Does it have a larger diameter, like the 6.8SPC? What mags are you using?
-
I prefer to believe it's there thinking "fuck you haji, they're not here for me. No one is worried my four legged ass is going to fly a plane into their home!"
-
Let me know how that ceracote looks. I'm thinking of doing my 14.5" in some color.
-
They do that to prisons too. Over at Folsom prison (the same prison Johnny Cash sang about) they put drugs in tennis balls and launch them into the yards.

That horse/donkey has balls of steel!

When PA brings back their red dot in Jan '13, I'll be ready to compete. I'm buying 3 of their sight+magnification set-ups. I finally shot that rifle above. It cycled perfectly. A small pile of brass at my 3:30. He would take advantage from a heavier buffer. The light weight parts really made it a pleasure to shoot though. The smile on my buddys face was HUGE.

Very nice! Are you taking orders?
