  1. There she is! No expense spared either :o Nicely done <thumbsup>
  2. Good to have you aboard Rip <thumbsup> Now SurvivalShop and CSM-H won't feel like the oldest guys in the room anymore <lmao>.
  3. Welcome to our pit of addicts and enablers! <thumbsup>
  4. Welcome. I wish I could be one of your customers (Cali resident :( )
  5. I checked out their website and I didn't see anything that blew me away. They only seem to advertise their modified M4's and AR15's, with price tags from $1100 to $1700. They could compete for entry level rifles. For the same price (maybe a few more $) you could get a Daniel Defense and be MUCH more satisfied. I don't think this company is trying to say they compete with high end, designer brand, builders. They are presenting exactly what their name says a "Battle Rifle". A plain, no frills, no thrills, get the job done rifle. Although I believe S&W has done the EXACT same thing with their M&P for a much lower price.
  6. Plus you can double up on the retention rubber band for extra retention. The plastic on plastic with the PMAG ensures close zero wear, and smooth operation.
  7. I would have been impressed a year or two ago. Nothing spectacular about a rifle built with LAST YEAR technology. I see a LOT of differences I would have made. Why didn't their pictures show any of the features they raved about??? As far as technology is concerned. No new metals or coatings are offered. No dynamic designs for ambi feature built into the receiver. WHY DOES SUCH A RELIABLE RIFLE NEED A FORWARD ASSIST?? If their goal is just to make yesterday's rifle at a more affordable cost, then <thumbsup>. Otherwise, it just looks like a DPMS Oracle with a SWS handguard. It's a good gun, but it's not ground breaking. I'll keep an eye out for this company... But right now I see them going more the direction of Blackthorn rather than Mega Arms.
  8. Crazy! I was planning on starting this exact thread earlier today. Then some shithead got shot on the south end of my beat and the rest of my day was FUBAR'd. This company makes a really nice looking set up. I know one of the designers in the company. I've tried getting them in here, but haven't been able to lure them in quite yet. I've also been looking at the "FastMag HEAVY". I thought about setting up a TPC bandolier system with these and a holster.
  9. @MAGWA I tried to make it as clear as possible.
  10. Amongst a barrage of colorful four letter words, I was informed "it's just a spot". <lmao>
  11. Is this the 9mm? I have the P226R .40 and the P220R Carry Elite, both of their mags are tight as drums. I'd upgrade/update the mag springs. There should be enough power under the follower that the bullets don't move. If you are shooting 9mm, I seem to remember something about the mags being modified .40 mags. Not sure where I heard that though. If that's the case, there's sure to be extra room inside the mag body. Still worth checking to see if there are something like a Wolf spring available.
  12. Battlecomp v2.0 to be exact... The v1.0, v1.5, BABC and AKBC are out of spec.
  13. Take care of yourself over there. When you can, could we get some pictures of your rifle?
  14. Hey! :rant2: I resemble that remark! I personally own a BAE ECLiPSE RBAV-SF. I have level IIIa kevlar, but never got the SAPI plates. They were always too heavy and too expensive. Depending on the type of carrier you have, it could be worth anywhere from $50-$350 dollars, just for the carrier. The value of the kevlar is based on the manufacture date. Most kevlar is only good for about 5-7 years. Price drops considerably after 5 years. SAPI plates are the money!! Those generally go fast. Pictures will help in this catagory
  15. This thread has officially been JACKed
  16. The parts to build an AR were never banned by themselves. Even when the ban was activated many places we're given the option to simply register the rifles as assault weapons. No part of the upper assembly constitutes an assault weapon. The lower receiver is the key part. Even the individual parts that you add to a lower are not considered assault weapon parts. That being said. If a ban did occur. I don't doubt that a mad dash, hurricane Katrina style, will grab every available part in the US.
  17. This guy HERE has CNC'd a bunch of different guns. He has downloadable spec's for the AR-10 platform. This is the older style AR-10 that does NOT accept the DPMS LR-308 or KAC SR-25 magazines. That being said, I still believe the DPMS/KAC style mags are the most popular. Especially since the release of the Magpul LR-20 PMAG. There are a few others that use FN-FAL magazines and HK-G3 magazines. Not as popular, but much less expensive due to Euro-military surplus.
  18. http://www.budspolicesupply.com/ <thumbsup>
  19. 20x is great... If you plan on spending a lot of time at long range. I usually recommend x4 per 100 yards, but that's more for a tactical setting than a paper-killing/steel-thumping scenario. I usually max out at 9x to 12x, but I also never shoot beyond 300-400 yards. If you're hunting with it. You may run into issues with field of view (FOV) under 300 yards. I don't know where or how you hunt. A 20x scope has about a 5' FOV @100yrds. Plenty to whack paper, but hard to track a warmer target. SWFA has a huge fan base for the quality of scope though. If it fits your style of shooting I say go for it.
  20. OK Whore-ders... Here is your free shipping, rifle ammo sale of the day... CLICKY :auto:
  21. The Guns and Gear Store is having a sale on 300 Blk ammo. Check it out HERE
  22. That all sounds great so far. <thumbsup> +1 on the Apex. Confirm with Dave, but I believe he gets a decent price on those too. Chances are, you'll never go to an adjustable GB with this build. Unless you plan on going suppressed, you'll never need it. Just food for thought. A couple of things you might want to look into while building: 1. Pistol Grip 2. Charging Handle (You'll probably want something extended so you can reach it from around your scope) 3. Muzzle device 4. Bolt Carrier (The Kreiger should come with a matched bolt, but you'd better double check on that) 5. You're gonna need mags.
  23. I used G.B. Auction for my Sig
  24. I use Troy DiOptic tritium battle sights on my 14.5" competition gun. This set has the HK style front sight. I think they are good sights and they shoot great, but for the money they are over priced. I get the same performance from my magpul MBUS sets. My last 3 sets of MBUS cost less than my Troy sights.
  25. Midway has a new 16" barrel coming out. They are expecting it next week. Click Here Otherwise, good luck. The 16" barrels have sky rocketed into popularity.
