  1. I wasn't trying to insinuate that I round-house-sparta-kicked some incapacitated degenerate. Instead, imagine three cops fighting with a tranny, whacked out on meth, in the dirt on the side of the road. Each one of us out weighs the guy 50-100 pounds. All of us angry that he is fighting, but all of us laughing because we can't believe it is actually happening. None of us want to hurt the tweek, so we are all trying to take it as easy as possible but that always makes things worse. My trainee gets a swift kick to his groin and learns the hard way why you have to keep control of all the suspect body parts. After a lengthy struggle, tweek finally gets a new pair of shiny bracelets. Oh it gets worse... We find a bag that has his meth and pipe in it. Of course he claims that he doesn't own that bag and we can't prove it's his... But wait, is this a digital camera in the bag! A word to the wise... If you ever find the digital camera that belongs to a transvestite meth addict, don't look at the pictures!!! Unfortunately I'm in the business of having to look in said camera... I'll put it delicately. The photo evidence linking the suspect to the digital camera was "overwhelming", to say the least. In the end, bad guy goes to jail, I'm covered in dirt, trainee gets an ice pack for his twig and berries, and you guys get a little bed time story.
  2. Mattresses do provide an environment for my "other" favorite pastime. <hump>
  3. Good to have ya!
  4. So I was "dealing" with this guy yesterday, and he just didn't want go with the program. I couldn't help but think, the guys would be laughing their asses off if they saw me now.
  5. Oh yeah, that definitely tipped the "sexy" scale.
  6. It's a couple of airsoft kids that took the pictures last year. I think they're Russian... http://modernwarfare247.com/news/recreation-of-mw2-ghost http://modernwarfare247.com/news/recreation-of-soap-and-ghost
  7. PRI and JD both make an .875 gb with rails.
  8. Does your BCG have serrations for the FA?
  9. Are you shooting with a fixed rifle stock or a collapsible stock? You want to make sure you have the correct buffer and buffer spring inside. Also, are you using a Carrier Weight System or any other "enhancements"? I would run the rifle completely stock at first and add "enhancements" as I saw how the rifle performed. The .260 Rem might not have the power/pressure to work with some of the "enhancements" designed for larger projectiles. Shooting that cartridge in an AR format is still fairly fresh, and any modifications you make/do could be considered trial and error. I love the .260 round. The fact that it might not work doesn't take away from the performance of the bullet. It just may be that the bullet doesn't require any assistance, and the intended assistance may actually be inhibiting instead.
  10. I don't know if this is how it worked, but it is how I would have done business. Everyone knows Magpul and the reputation of the PMAG. It would have been two quick phone calls to DPMS and Armalite to say, "Hey, we're building a 308 mag. What is it worth to you so that the 'other guys' don't get this product?" Sale goes to the highest bidder. Additionally, Magpul might not have the option to make an AR10 compatible mag due to contract issues with DPMS. Especially if DPMS contracted Magpul to make the mags, and invested in their production. That would have been smart money on their part. Again, this is all just hypothetical. Based on other businesses practice (ie; AT&T with the original iPhone's) it's very possible.
  11. Check that your gas block is on correctly too. You might be choking out the gas port with a misaligned gb. Also, if this is a new build... Wet, wet, WET!!!
  12. The difference between a "good" cop and a "bad" cop is that "good" cops know how to stay off Youtube! Although, 0:51 could have been me at one time (minus the kick at 0:27). Drunkest guy I have ever dealt with. I didn't even have to undo his seatbelt!
  13. Now that's funny. <lmao> <thumbsup>
  14. That's me. I want to upgrade my Colt, but I don't want to lose the ability to say "This is my Colt." I always liked that it was 100% Colt parts.
  15. You have several choices available. Midwest Industries and Yankee Hill Machine are some of your cheaper options. DPMS, JD Machine and Precision Reflex also have some more expensive items on their menus. VLTOR and JP Rifle have some fancier versions. First decide which sight you want, then pick a railed gas block to match. There are two different height rails available for a front sight.
  16. Our favorite little BAD-A.S.S. is now #2... Just recently passing the Magpul PRS stock. We are more than half way to passing the "Spikes Tactical AR15 Lower Receiver" for the #1 spot.
  17. Yeah, I'm glad I ordered the full option BCG. I know there won't be many others like it out there.
  18. Now I understand... I think someone else here was having similar problems. Zero'd with supersonic rounds and then hitting extremely low with subsonic rounds. The 1,000+ fps and 75gr difference is making an exagerated drop. I think Jgun was right about making his rifle to shoot a certain range of bullets. If you are going to swap between loads often/fast, you might have to run dual optics, like a 2 o'clock red dot??
  19. Just a little Monday morning update. I just got an email from Josh Sonju at SI-Defense. He advised that the carriers were indeed finished and expected back from coating. The bolts, on the other hand, are still being shotpeened and coated with a "pretty soon" ETA. I hope you guys interested made your pre-orders. They up'd the price for all new orders by a considerable jump. I think a BCG w/ the SS option is now $600!! :o
  20. I think you have something else wrong with your rifle besides buffer weight and spring strength. Maybe check your crosshairs, scope mount, and barrel nut. I have never seen a spread that wide that couldnt be attributed one of those issues. Also check the end (crown) of your barrel. I couldn't enlarge the picture you posted enough to identify what you mounted as a comp/brake/hider. In my limited experience; One friend swore his rifle was broken and asked me to repair it. I could find nothing wrong upon inspection. I got it to the range and found that the top of the crosshair had broken loose inside the scope. My brother-in-law wondered for months why he couldn't dial in a scope mounted with a $5 e-bay mount. He stole my GG&G and suddenly he thinks he's a sniper. Lastly, my cousin couldn't keep his hbar rifle on the paper at 100 yards... till I found that his barrel nut was only on hand tight (no torque).
  21. I may be wrong... But I think this part may need editing???
  22. My #1 reason for not considering Addax or PWS is that I have a Mega Arms billet lower that will only match (cosmetically) with a Mega Arms billet upper. I also don't care to buy something that someone else built. I look forward to building my rifles. I have looked at the PWS and Addax uppers, and they are really nice, but neither company offers EXACTLY what I am looking for in a rifle. I was planning on putting the Osprey piston in a 7.62x39 upper. I had debated in a 300blk, but I was looking for something more in line with just being a "plinker".
  23. I still dont trust pistons for accuracy applications. I wont put one on my 308 specifically for that reason. Too many parts moving ahead of the receiver, means interference with barrel harmonics... Do I have any scientific proof of this? No... I'm prejudice and superstitious. That's reason enough for me. As for a combat/competition application... Pistons are supposed to relieve some of the felt recoil and soften the impact of the firearm. Proper gas distribution, BCG weight, barrel compensation and buffer technology should cause your AR15 to pop like a 22lr with each shot. My main reason for the piston system is that i don't have one yet, and I have never built one... And the peer pressure was killing me to be the first. ;D
  24. I'm with Jgun on this. Cera/dura-coat is supposed to be long lasting, but nothing is forever. You'll get longer lasting results painting the grooves. Easier to mask too.
  25. Invest in a good forearm guard. Ouch!
