  1. Fast forward to 07:15 to see a SBR to +700 yards.

  3. I still stand behind Sig on their pistols. Just wish they invested as much on their 45's as they do their smaller formats.
  4. The P320 has no user safety. The military M17 DOES have a thumb safety, similar to a 1911. The original concept of the P320 had a Glock-style trigger safety. This concept was ditched for the production design. It looks like the Apex style, and a skeletonized style, trigger are going to be the concepts they go with now. Im personally not a fan of having ANY safety on a dedicated combat firearm. The only "safe" weapon is an open/unloaded weapon. I carried a P226 and P220 on duty for over 13 years for this very reason.
  5. Most .308 cartridges get complete ignition in 15.5 inches. A long time ago I posted a breakdown of the velocity from about 6" out to 26" in 2" increments. After 16" the increase in velocity drops considerably. The bonus of a 20" vs a 16" is negligible. It's really only worth it to jump to 24" and if you do that then you should be shooting a 6.5c and not a .308. The .308 is really only optimal to 600 yards. After that the 6.5c surpasses it in performance. A 16" .308 will perform near as well as a 24" .308 under 600 yards. So there's not a bunch of reasons to have an extra long .308... other than "because I want one"... which really is the best reason to buy anything.
  6. Just wanted to share with you guys. You were instrumental in being part of this. These people are family to me, and I love you guys like brothers for being here with us!
  7. So while ignoring my wife and surfing the web, I found a guy who had made some awesome new features for the TRP Operator.... whoa baby!! I can't wait!!! I've been dying to do something to mine for years.
  8. I will definitely own one when the X5 series is available. I'm not as interested in the X5 upper as I am in the X5 grip. I still fully intend to make one in aluminum too!
  9. For what it's worth. The way I understand it, the mighty 1911 series 70 failed several drop tests, from numerous angles. That's one of the reasons California doesn't sell it. Hence the reason the series 80 came out with the added firing pin safety.... I'll bet that never stopped you from carrying a 1911 though.
  10. Glock fanboys are jerking off to the point of dehydration over this.
  11. 16, no question about it... especially with a Faxon. I just called Faxon today to put in an order for a "few" Faxon barrels.
  12. Im just going to drop this... right.... here...
  13. despite this hiccup, the P320 is still being recommended as being infallible by most. I hate the idea of a thumb safety on these guns. I'm hoping this goes away with a fast fix and Sig rises above it all. It sounds like that's what their aim is for now...
  14. My buddy put an Apex trigger in his and loves it.
  15. I accept your challenge!!!
  16. Sig just put out a statement that they are going to offer a free upgrade. They're releasing more info on Monday. They should have stuck with the trigger safety, or made a grip safety. I'm quite partial to a grip safety myself.
  17. Now that's funny!
  18. $6mil!!! That's a lot of hookers and blow. Definitely retirement money.
  19. I honestly like the idea of the smaller AR15 sized barrel extension. It should have been part of the rifle from the beginning. I think DPMS shot themselves in the foot when they made yet another new barrel but thread. Especially without releasing a reason other than "because". Pretty sure they were hoping to license the upper to other companies so the thread pattern would catch on. Instead, other companies made their uppers with AR15 threads... or avoided the new barrel altogether.
  20. Hindsight, I'd keep the LR308 barrel nut threads, keep the lower profile LR308 rail system, and take advantage of the multiple 308AR barrels that are already on the market. No reason to short your buyers on barrel options just so they can have AR15 handguards. There are plenty of 308AR handguards to choose from already.
  21. They will sell significantly better if they kept the AR15 barrel nut threads, instead of the random DPMS Gen2 threads.
