  1. What is you recoil system details?
  2. You’re ok, I don’t have any feelings to hurt. What is the hyd buffer weight simulate? A .308AR needs at least 5.6oz buffer, most likey more. If you are going springco get the orange spring. Another tried and true is the Armalite recoil system. It’s complete and will work 100% of the time. I know nothing about the buffer you have, the only one we ever hear about is typically the JP Silent capture System. That one seems to be hit or miss and better designed for .556 applications. Just question but who recommended that set up to you? Edit: just looked it up, it is 3.6 oz buffer weight. Your not getting enough mass in the ass bud. Your bcg is moving way to fast. You need a heavier buffer or turn your gas way down. Until your rifle is completely broken in I suggest a traditional set up, but don’t take my word for it.......
  3. One hundred percent the hyd buffer did not slow the cyclic rate down enough and between that and the spring may not have been correct in size. Also, brass isn’t terrible in the pic but I’m curious (knowing you already returned it, doesn’t matter much now) what the firing pin liked like. Also, how well lubed is your weapon. These large frame rifles need to be well lubed, dripping just about, for break in period. No mil spec and a lot of surfaces that need to mate properly. Possible cause of your issue with bolt but maybe only part of the problem. On your next outing with all new parts, please give us the following info prior to shooting: new buffer length and weight spring length and coil count picture of the gas tube in cam cut out in a well lit vertical picture picture of your lube job and round count prior to and post shoot welcome aboard and have no fear, we will solve this
  4. Nice bikes for sure. Just sold mine in the spring due to family taking up all my time. Well that and work. ‘15 SRR, love lining up against all takers! Only lost once, to a H2. Welcome to the forum
  5. Wow!
  6. Crabs aren’t big up here but we got the other bug..... lobsta kid!
  7. Yup. Late night belly up to the bar. I’d love to take something like that to bolster my professional training. My partner and I are very successful but he does most of the work
  8. Rainier Arms is advertising them for sale to you guys too. Might be worth a look
  9. Atta boy! Keep on brother!
  10. This will need to be fixed even if the gas port is incorrect. Buffer is too light and spring is wrong. Having incorrect parts will only make matters worse. Manufacturers who are incorrectly drilling gas port size and then compensating for their mistake by using the wrong parts are a huge issue with large frame ar’s.
  11. Barrel nut then? Maybe not torqued to spec? Receiver extension (on the upper, maybe an blem that got through)? Barrel extension. Does the rifle have a free floating barrel? Taking you out of the equation with these....
  12. First thought out of the box is your recoil system is incorrect. The buffer weight is way to low. Can you give us some exact measurements of the buffer, spring relaxed with coil count and internal depth of receiver extension
  13. Magazines have absolutely nothing to do with what comes out of the muzzle. I can’t get behind that. Sounds like Internet boogaloo.
  14. That’s what I’m saying. Unless you’re shooting full auto this is operator error.
  15. I agree with check your scope and mount. I don’t agree with this. Magazine fed weapons do not have first round flier issues. That’s operator error, anticipation or other. A cold bore shot may have POI difference from the following shots but once you send a few your fine. I shoot ten rounds groups with no stringing. Not sure what the issue there is but lighter profile barrels should have no issues with this as long as your not shooting full auto, mag dumps or allow some cooling following two magazines of group fire. Mechanical action of the weapon is the same from the firing pin to the primer. Action has nothing to do with a flier. Reference a shooting sled. Get three rounds down the pipe and then shoot a five round group. Once your barrel has temp, the group is consistent as it can be to ammo tolerance.
  16. Three posts was quick, not sure what the record is. We have had some doozies here before. Nobody comes into my house and pisses on my rug. Then blames it on the kids. No one.... I can put up with a lot, trust me, but there are signs these people wear on their virtual neck. This guy’s said douche flute. Saw it in the bold letters he wrote.
  17. He gets mouthy then, you wouldn’t like him when he gets mouthy.
  18. Awesome!! We have a great beer thread
  19. Awesome, let us know how it works out
  20. Pretty much, yes!
  21. Not faster than the ban hammer though. I’m locking this as it’s over, for good, for the wizard. Sorry not sorry. And to any new guys reading this post. There was good suggestions with reasoning behind those suggestions. But, his attitude is not welcome here. It would have been easy for him to say I just really like the look of a 20” barrel. But no. Alas the ban.
  22. 👍. I ask because we have temp swings like nobody’s business. -15 to 100 plus.
  23. Interesting. Do you think that is powder specific or across the board? I have some varget to load up and once my my smk I’ll be loading those eldx you rave about
