  1. welcome both of you guys, please surrender your cash and credit cards at brownells or like supplier, and enjoy poverty and burnt gun powder. <thumbsup>
  2. <lmao>
  3. MrC, I have the geiselle ssa in both my rifles and its oh so sweet.
  4. I personally haven't thought of swapping any of those, maybe we can get drew or 98zv to start a new build around some for r&d
  5. Ok ok I'll take two, and while your at it, see if you can find those kac micro 45 mounts. ;)
  6. Check out tubbs for your spring, the buffer is up to your personal preference in weight.
  7. Wish I could rifle hunt in mass
  8. 98 is right, titanium is hard to work with, carbon fiber and magnesium are both used in racing for their ease of manufacturing over ti
  9. No need to pull any punches, you have more experience in the matterthan most of us, and if someone is naive enough to believe it's over between the extremists and their goals, that person doesn't have a clue. I personally applaud your services and respect you point of view. They Muslim radical groups look to hurt their targets as much as possible both physically and emotionally. >:( Thank you for your service, and please try to enjoy the freedoms you fought so hard for. God bless the USA
  10. thanks drew, you ^%$##$%. ok i'll bite hard, how much
  11. god i hope its mass compliant
  12. <dontknow>, my bad, late to the party again! :o, i promise to stay current, sir!
  13. i just received my new issue of guns and ammo and … hello! the new kel tec ksg is an intriguing new design. opinions? http://www.keltecweapons.com/news/preview-kel-tec-shotgun-ksg
  14. hey hawk, i personally agree with madhouse, i went with sr-25/ dpms style, and own a 20" larue obr and a mk214 pws, and like the ability to swap back and forth between the two while only having to worry about full mags, not which one to load up. <thumbsup>
  15. not going to go on the menacing rant, how about accountability? who fucking leaves their patrol rifle out like that? normally mounted inside the car or trunk, it is not as though they carry them out all the time. the rifle was deliberately taken out for something. i have a hard time believing that it was left behind by accident. this is a terrible blow to the credibility of the department and its training.
  16. that is surprising, i got mine from larue w/ a qd mount, love it
  17. thanks, that's actually the stuff i was looking at <thumbsup>
  18. yes, i called and that was the technical advice i was given. "and since there is no industry standard for those types( assuming he meant ar10) you may make fitment adjustments." no biggie, it's in, dry functions, took off appr .060" which i thought was a lot but i was able to get it done without harming the jay hook. i can't find cold blue, but several alternatives on brownells. after all this, i am getting itchy to build, thank you guys :o, as i removed and installed the trigger group and safety…. at least 15 times. it will be a while and a .556 gun, i don't have one, and i'm looking at larue's stealth set. and i will probably use a geiselle trigger, without hesitation, because really like their feel.
  19. ok, done. :P quick recap: i called geisselle and was told to take some material off the hammer and or the receiver, being careful of the j-hook in the hammer as it holds the piece together. i had to take out a lot :o. they said it was because the receiver wasn't mil spec… we all know that we are going to run into this from time to time on this platform. i did no hit my receiver because if it came to that i was just going to put the oe trigger group back in. here are after pics, didn't think to take before till it was too late but i took a lot off, believe me. only question i have now is now that there is bare metal, do i have to coat it and with what?
  20. ok upon further inspection i am going with this. the hammer is rubbing the receiver with the pin in and not with the punch because of the small play i have using the 1/8 punch, but where does this leave me? with an expensive piece of poo? do i try to relieve some room on the inside of the receiver or on the bottom of the hammer where it rubs. i don't want to do either considering neither of these were purchased with me play cnc in mind or that i was going to do more than pop pins and play. btw, my pws receiver says si on the inside, as in si defense? :o
  21. the factory trigger fires no problem, and i can't really see the ssa rubbing, it goes in harder than the factory trigger, but it just doesn't release from the trigger.***update, re-installed ssa and if i have an 1/8"punch in there its ok, but as soon as i put the pin in it stiffens.
  22. i got home from work this morning and i am having a hell of a time with this. i swapped out the trigger but the ssa seems like its way too tight in my pws. the hammer won't go and i'm a little confused that i did something wrong. everything went together ok but no go on the function test. help <dontknow>. it appears that the hammer is rubbing the receiver facing the magwell. do i take some out of the receiver or the trigger? is the part defective? i am going to put the factory trigger in to see what happens
  23. Welcome, I live in Massachusetts, I know how you feel
  24. Congrads, great looking piece. . Scope options are a personal preference item and the final choice usually comes down to cash and end usage. We here will be glad to help where we can.
