  1. I’m building with a 12.5” Noveske Leonidas barrel. Comes with standard gas block. Have a heavy buffer from Heavybuffers.com and an Armalite carbine spring. I cannot shoot suppressed.
  2. ???????
  3. We shall see.... it could be possible but that sighting as almost as rare as the CT yeti
  4. Fucking true story. I was afraid to shake him awake so I shut the alarm clock off. Twice. Carefully so as not to have assisted breathing through unnatural holes.
  5. ADM and LaRue mounts
  6. Nothing wrong with that. A 16” will get her out to 600 yds with ease, it will be lighter and plenty accurate. All the extra weight from a longer barrel is felt “more” being further away from the body. This is a great option and the weight is spot on. http://faxonfirearms.com/16-pencil-308-win-mid-length-4150-nitride/ And before you (or the peanut gallery) gets apprehensive about the profile, consider you won’t be getting this thing anywhere near hot enough for stringing unless you are mag dumping or shooting automatic. And both seem pretty expensive with the .308.
  7. Ok, we are on the same page then. Our team uses GAP 700’s. We are a larger department and they train or deploy daily.
  8. Also this. Is she her teams sharpshooter? Then she won’t be. She will be held liable. Trust me.
  9. Plus if she can use any rifle she can qualify with build a .458 SOCOM. First hand Experticity from out trip shows that fucker packs a serious punch.
  10. If this is for patrol go with a 16” or a 14.5” with a pinned and welded muzzle device. 18” is far too long for swinging around in patrol and not needed. She won’t be engaging anything past 100 yds and realistically it’ll be under 50.
  11. List your parts too. Could be tolerance stacking

    Feed issue

    I second the mag issue
  13. Are you using the same lower for both? What’s the gas port size of the 18”? Also measurements on spring and buffer. Just because you bought a kit doesn’t mean it’s correct
  14. What is the build sheet? Did you change anything other than the barrel? Are you sure the gas block is aligned properly? Is it the correct gas tube? How about some pics?
  15. Excellent, we applaud your exuberance. We will be waiting for the next range report. Remember, soak her in oil.
  16. That’s fine. My point is if you really care about accuracy a matched set and quality barrel and trigger get you started. This is your recipe for accuracy. At least on this platform. Good luck with that. Never heard of cobratech. And we have seen to many companies that claim they will fit a certain pattern. Fit being used loosely. There is no standard and most of the big companies have figured it out. Start ups are where we see the most issues.
  17. I can’t tell if Clint is still a site sponsor but Heavybuffers.com is a great place to get heavy buffers
  18. I knew something was amiss when I saw the buffer face.
  19. I wouldn’t. I would buy a matched set for the best fit possible.
  20. Buffer is awfully beat up for a newer build
  21. Happy holidays to all here. I hope you can spend some quality time with your family and friends starting today, Happy Thanksgiving
  22. Funny as hell!
  23. Welcome from Massachusetts
  24. I may officially be out for the spring, have an interview for a new position at work... more to follow....
  25. Lol. Greg can help, while GREG has ideas.....
