I'm all for freedom, but common sense needs a place too.
I'm not sure what a fireworks stand is, but do his state laws prohibit open carry? Also, why is everyone trying to prove their open carry point by walking around with rifles? In the current court of public opinion, they are baby killers.
While we know that to be incorrect, you won't be helping anyone's cause by drawing negative attention to yourself, especially to try to prove a point. The officers involved may have acted differently than reported, but we don't know, because we only have one account.
No offense, but just because there's print in the media doesn't mean that A. it's true or B. All the facts are published or C. they only printed what they wanted cause they needed a story.
How about this:
If the open carry movement wanted to exercise their 2nd amendment rights to bring about positive public awareness, organize or alert law enforcement prior so that they don't have to respond to a person or persons randomly walking down the street with rifle with unknown intentions who can pose a serious public safety threat.
