  1. I know you guys hear me raving about the Geissele triggers all the time, plus a few others. One I talk about every chance I get is the Armalite 2-Stage National Match trigger (P/N 10309050). Full retail on the trigger is $145, but you can find it a few dollars cheaper from some online vendors, when you look. Without money as a consideration, I will always look at a Geissele trigger first. No matter what your intention (intended use) is for a trigger, Geissele makes what you're looking for, and the trigger will always perform exactly as they say it will. You will also have unrivaled customer support if there is something that you don't like about your G trigger - just call them up. Now, in reality, money IS a consideration. More often than not, it has to be THE consideration. The pricing for this Armalite trigger is pretty good, and the trigger is more than pretty good - it's a damn great trigger. Before anyone gets started on "every other company's National Match trigger," let me just say something - this one isn't the same as a CMMG, RRA, other... The quality of it is much better, and it's got some pretty simple adjustment features built in. Outside of the internet stories of RRA NM triggers going soft, I've never personally shot one - for the reason of those very stories. However, right here on this site, we heard an account recently of an RRA going soft and losing it's second stage... Food for thought... This up there ^^^ is the main feature for the adjustability function in this trigger set. See those three tabs on the sides of the disconnector? The disconnector has an additional spring that fits into those tabs, and each tab UP that you go is appriximately a 1 lb reduction in trigger pull weight. So, in a nutshell, from the bottom position you can adjust UP to a 2 lb reduction. By adjusting that spring position, you adjust the tension (or "drag") that the disconnector has on the hammer, thus changing the trigger pull weight... There's an Armalite Tech Note that further describes an additional adjustment process, to further reduce pull weight beyond that top spring setting. I performed this immediately after installing this trigger (made the max reduction in pull weight, with the additional step in the Tech Note), and I can tell you that it works, very, very well. The trigger started out in my Mk12 Mod 0 build: Ultimately, the trigger that was destined for that rifle was the Geissele Hi-Speed DMR trigger, so the Armalite NM trigger came out. The Armalite trigger will now and forever live in the 300 BLK rifle. I will never replace it with anything else, in that rifle. Here's the Armalite Tech Note (Tech Note 68) in the additional adjustment that you can make - it's titled for the 2-Stage Tactical Trigger, but further down in the doc is states it's for both trigger setups, with the National Match Trigger included for the Tech Note: http://www.armalite.com/images/Tech%20Notes%5CTech%20Note%2068,%20Tuning%20the%20ArmaLite%20Tactical%20Two%20Stage%20Trigger.pdf
  2. I've got so damn many of the first gen mags... <lmao> I'm waiting for the Lancer L7s to hit the streets.
  3. You'll freak when I tell you the MIL/LEO price on those - less than $16 each.
  4. Or stick an Armalite bolt in the bolt carrier.
  5. That was fast, man - I'm impressed. You posted this thread on the 14th, sold your rifle on the 22nd and order this then, and received it already. Good stuff. <thumbsup>
  6. Dude, is that your stick?!... Sweet looking rifle!
  7. ^^^ Hell yeah - I had to check Mike out pretty closely after the shoot with Greg and Rob a few years ago. Had to see if he was smuggling Kimbers in his pockets... <laughs> We can definitely pull one of the SSA-E triggers out and put in that boomstick - you'll like that one. <thumbsup>
  8. HAHA! Decisions: #1. Decide to sell beater rifle. #2. Hit the reloading bench. #3. Realize that you have some prepped 5.56 brass sitting around - load it! #4. Realize that you got rid of the rifle that shoots that ammo... Hmmm... #5. Decide to buy beater rifle... <lmao> I love it, man, love it.
  9. Yep.

Damnit - now the hoarding is gonna start, price will go up, and it'll be a year before I can find any. I might as well start looking for 22LR ammo instead... <lmao>
  12. ^^^ That's it - couldn't remember the name of the other place that does the dedicated lowers. Lone Wolf.
  13. ^^^ TRUTH! I loved the place in the late 80s and early 90s. I wouldn't live there for ANYTHING now.
  14. Damn, that thing is sweet! I'm looking VERY forward to this. <thumbsup>

Got a little kick to it - "I put that $hit on everything!" <lmao>
  16. Your lower has the screw, right, and not a roll pin (in that area/part)? Sometimes, if you tighten that screw too much, it'll break at first use or first push. Some DPMS screws disintegrate upon installation... <dontknow>
  17. Same people as mine - DDLES. They do the Glock large frame version and the Glock small frame version: http://www.shop.doublediamondsupply.com/AR15-Glock-Small-Frame-Mag-Lower-Receiver-DDARGL.htm http://www.shop.doublediamondsupply.com/AR15-Glock-Large-Frame-Mag-Lower-Receiver-DDARFL.htm
  18. They shouldn't be able to ask you anything about the can, brother, nor the SBR - definitely not try to shake you down for the stamp. Only ATF agents can "inspect" that stuff. Not local LEO, county LEO, state LEO, etc. Not their jurisdiction, in the least.
  19. Cerakote it with the C series. <thumbsup> Don't wait for an oven, and the H series stuff.
  20. If you didn't do it, then someone did do it when you weren't looking... It was dry fired, and the hammer hit the bolt catch - and broke the pin/screw, whichever...
  21. Paint it, brother! <thumbsup> :hethan:
  22. Just keep calling DDLES, brother - their lower is DEFINITELY worth it, and it'll come in stock, through them. The damn thing is NICE. Also, if it runs on Colt SMG mags, then it'll run on modified UZI mags. <thumbsup>
  23. My favorite way to explain this is... Don't complicate $hit with complicated $hit. Build your rifle simple, and run it. If it won't run, find out why and fix that issue. If you don't like the recoil, you can do a few things (add a heavy buffer, go shoot a 300 Win Mag so you get used to the recoil, etc.). "Complicated $hit" is why I hate hydraulic buffers - what the hell is the reason for all that $hit in the butt of your rifle, when millions of people can make a real buffer run just fine?... It's just one more thing that can go wrong, and probably will when you most need your rifle.
  24. The question of the durability on the GG&G came up - I have the HD XDS on my 308, and it's MORE than adequate. I've been meaning to pick up the standard XDS (lighter version) for a 20" 5.56 precision rig I have, but just never got around to it. I will someday. I'm pretty sure the standard version would hold up just fine on the 308, too. They're damn well made, and tough as hell.
