Damnit - now the hoarding is gonna start, price will go up, and it'll be a year before I can find any. I might as well start looking for 22LR ammo instead... <lmao>
  4. ^^^ That's it - couldn't remember the name of the other place that does the dedicated lowers. Lone Wolf.
  5. ^^^ TRUTH! I loved the place in the late 80s and early 90s. I wouldn't live there for ANYTHING now.
  6. Damn, that thing is sweet! I'm looking VERY forward to this. <thumbsup>

Got a little kick to it - "I put that $hit on everything!" <lmao>
  8. Your lower has the screw, right, and not a roll pin (in that area/part)? Sometimes, if you tighten that screw too much, it'll break at first use or first push. Some DPMS screws disintegrate upon installation... <dontknow>
  9. Same people as mine - DDLES. They do the Glock large frame version and the Glock small frame version: http://www.shop.doublediamondsupply.com/AR15-Glock-Small-Frame-Mag-Lower-Receiver-DDARGL.htm http://www.shop.doublediamondsupply.com/AR15-Glock-Large-Frame-Mag-Lower-Receiver-DDARFL.htm
  10. They shouldn't be able to ask you anything about the can, brother, nor the SBR - definitely not try to shake you down for the stamp. Only ATF agents can "inspect" that stuff. Not local LEO, county LEO, state LEO, etc. Not their jurisdiction, in the least.
  11. Cerakote it with the C series. <thumbsup> Don't wait for an oven, and the H series stuff.
  12. If you didn't do it, then someone did do it when you weren't looking... It was dry fired, and the hammer hit the bolt catch - and broke the pin/screw, whichever...
  13. Paint it, brother! <thumbsup> :hethan:
  14. Just keep calling DDLES, brother - their lower is DEFINITELY worth it, and it'll come in stock, through them. The damn thing is NICE. Also, if it runs on Colt SMG mags, then it'll run on modified UZI mags. <thumbsup>
  15. My favorite way to explain this is... Don't complicate $hit with complicated $hit. Build your rifle simple, and run it. If it won't run, find out why and fix that issue. If you don't like the recoil, you can do a few things (add a heavy buffer, go shoot a 300 Win Mag so you get used to the recoil, etc.). "Complicated $hit" is why I hate hydraulic buffers - what the hell is the reason for all that $hit in the butt of your rifle, when millions of people can make a real buffer run just fine?... It's just one more thing that can go wrong, and probably will when you most need your rifle.
  16. The question of the durability on the GG&G came up - I have the HD XDS on my 308, and it's MORE than adequate. I've been meaning to pick up the standard XDS (lighter version) for a 20" 5.56 precision rig I have, but just never got around to it. I will someday. I'm pretty sure the standard version would hold up just fine on the 308, too. They're damn well made, and tough as hell.

I always had people ask me that same question when I was in the Army - "You act like you can change the whole Army by the way you do and say things - why do you think you can change it by yourself?..." My answer was simple - we move around alot. I don't need to change the whole Army at once. I just need to change one or two good people, good Soldiers, in the assignment that I'm in right then. And I'll move. Change one or two more - make a difference for them. Teach them what's right, when to do what, how to accept responsibility for their actions and the actions of their own Soldiers... ...and move again... Before you know it, 10 years down the road, I've affected and changed maybe 20~30 Soldiers. by that time, they're getting up there in rank, and maybe they remember some of the lessons I taught them, and lead the way they're supposed to. Maybe they're affecting or changing one or two MORE Soldiers at every duty assignment... and those one or two gain some rank... In the course of 5 years, I could have changed a dozen people, made them good - or great - leaders. In the course of 10 years, that "trickle-down" effect on that might equate to 3 dozen Soldiers. After 20 years, it might have been something like 12 dozen... Who knows? I know I saved the good ones, got rid of the bad ones, and did the very best I could with what I had. I live that way to this day, and change what I can. "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." The "courage" and "wisdom" parts of that phrase is paramount. <thumbsup>
  18. That cracks me up!!! <lmao>
  19. Hey brother, ready to throw another kink in the chain? Don't overlook the GG&G bipods. The HD-XDS is a damn good one for your application, but I'd suspect the regular XDS would do fine on your rifle, too. No adapters necessary - just the pic rail. Various models in this link: http://www.gggaz.com/tactical-rifle-bipods.html
  20. When adapters come into play for the Harris bipods, my personal favorite is the ADM setup. I'm running that on two or three rifles (can't remember how many?... ). ADM Part # AD-BP. http://www.americandefensemanufacturing.com/view/product/15/
  21. Yep! That's Rule 65b - Drew invented that one... <lmao>
  22. Just got started on this tonight - hell of alot easier than I imagined it would be. There's gonna be THOUSANDS of these little guys running around soon. <thumbsup>
  23. Damn, I SWEAR I posted in here! I LOVE me some iron-sighted National Match-type rifles!!!
  24. Hell, he even commented in the other thread, before starting this one!... <lmao>
