  1. It'll be decades before the current (then, future) hunters are the ones that prefer semi-auto AR-type hunting rigs. That's about how long it will take for the last 11 years-worth of combat veterans to be classified as "older hunters." Right now, it's an age-game, amongst the hunting community. I'd like to see the age polls of people that think this way.
  2. Looks perfectly normal to me, through a new auto-loader. Nothing wrong with that at all, based on the pic presented. RRA guns have notoriously tougher ejectors, anyway. Some stick, some don't, all are tight when new.
  3. WTF is Mish Squish?...
  4. Oh, no, you are right, Rep Shiela Jackson - You are NOT going to take my guns... ???
  5. Welcome aboard, man - nice boomstick. <thumbsup>
  6. Go hit the For Sale section, and check out what Dave Branson posted. <thumbsup>
  7. That's good stuff, brother. <thumbsup>
  8. Dave, is this same deal extended to the 5.56 upper setup? I'm thinking I'd run this for the 300BLK build, on the lower I picked up from you.
  9. 30-rounders are GONE, brother. Everywhere. LR-20s are GONE. Been like that for a couple days now. I was watching real-time stocking levels go Out Of Stock yesterday, right in front of me, on the screen. You'll be incredibly lucky if you can find 20-rounders anywhere. If you DO find mags in stock someplace, get as many as you can. It might be another 10 years before you're "allowed" to own 30s again, and maybe even 20s. I'm just sayin'... Consider this, too - say you're a weapons component manufacturer. You're ready to fire up the machines and make a big production run of parts (mags, rails, whatever). The Best Gun Salesman In America hops on your TV, and states he's gonna revisit the AWB in light of recent events. Dianne Fukstien has her blurb on TV, and says she's the one that wrote the last AWB, and she's already updated it with new stuff, and she'll present it for vote as soon as Congress opens the next session - that's in a few weeks. Now, as a weapons component manufacturer, are you gonna produce 200,000 mags, that you might not even be able to legally sell, in about a month and a half?... <dontknow>
  10. Here's their letter: December 19, 2012 Cheaper Than Dirt! will Resume Online Firearm Sales Pending Policy Changes Cheaper Than Dirt! recently announced that it was temporarily suspending online sales of firearms pending a review of its order processing and procedures. Well-known for its ability to process and ship orders within 24 hours, online sales have skyrocketed to a point where it may take up to 72 hours for firearms and other items to ship. "In light of recent events, we believe it is prudent to review our policies and procedures to ensure we can continue to provide the products and firearms our customers demand," said Chief Operations Officer Roberta Wilson. "We will resume online sales once we update our process and continue as we have always done by shipping firearms only to FFL dealers." Ms. Wilson closed with, "As a long-time supporter of the Second Amendment, we will continue to serve the needs of the firearms community while ensuring our unsurpassed level of quality and customer service." Too little too late, after they showed their true colors, I'm thinkin'...
  11. Great job on that rifle, man! <thumbsup>
  12. Then it would be available for one very wealthy individual to buy - one that would be a nightmare for the firearms industry... This is all like a bad dream, happening...
  13. Very well said. <thumbsup>
  14. Everything is going to complete rifles, brother. If you liked those lowers, and want one, they were made by Stubborn Mule Outdoor Supply (SMOS). http://smosarms.com/cgi-bin/imcart/display.cgi?item_id=sm15&cat=5&page=1&search=&since=&status=&title=
  15. I'd build it, put a bow on it and a box of ammo, act all surprised on Christmas morning - then go shooting. ;D <thumbsup>
  16. Damn nice furniture. <thumbsup>
  17. They released a pretty good statement today... The National Rifle Association has put out a statement saying it is "prepared to offer meaningful contributions" to prevent more violence like that which occurred in Newtown, Conn., last week. The organization said it will hold a news conference in the Washington, D.C., area on Friday. Additionally, the organization broke its silence on social media, and put its Facebook page back up Tuesday afternoon, timed to the statement's release. The page had been down for several days following the shooting. The NRA also posted a Tweet Tuesday for the first time since Friday, linking to the statement. The statement reads: "The National Rifle Association of America is made up of four million moms and dads, sons and daughters – and we were shocked, saddened and heartbroken by the news of the horrific and senseless murders in Newtown. "Out of respect for the families, and as a matter of common decency, we have given time for mourning, prayer and a full investigation of the facts before commenting. "The NRA is prepared to offer meaningful contributions to help make sure this never happens again. "The NRA is planning to hold a major news conference in the Washington, DC area on Friday, December 21. "Details will be released to the media at the appropriate time."
  18. IMHO, you'd be better off going with a couple different courses of action: 1) lightened carrier system, and adjustable gas block, or 2) carrier weight system.
  19. So very, very true.
  20. Damn! What do you have against Woody Hayes, man? <dontknow>
  21. ^^^ That's what I was thinking... :-[
  22. ^^^ <laughs> <lmao> :threadjack:
  23. I'll paint the hell out of them for you, brother. If they show up PINK, it was an "accident..." <dontknow> <lmao>
  24. If that was actually the .mil issue ammo, then it was M118LR ammunition. <thumbsup>
