Hey, brother, I think I nailed Rob in something else tonight, too... I'm just sayin'... <lmao>
-
Check with Dave Branson, right here on our forum. You'll get it cheaper. He's a Mega Arms Master Dealer (and he doesn't pimp that fact, never once here - thought I'd do it for him... <thumbsup>) Shoot a PM to user "branson1369"

I did this in the early '90s, and build a hard tail, front suspension bike, from the baddest poop on the planet at the time. 8-speed rears weren't out yet. The damn thing weighed 23lbs. It was sick. I rode that thing hard as hell. Until some piece of poop stole it from me in Phoenix, sometime in late 2007.

The engineering is nuts, brother. Tubb has "books," too... <thumbsup> I just cost you money... <lmao> I'll send you the books, so I don't dent the pockets, but you'll want your own copies once you read them... <dontknow> <thumbsup> <laughs>

Normal. You don't focus on the rear sight - you focus on the front sight. You should see the front sight clearly, and the rear should be blurry, if you're doing it right. <thumbsup> Pic of proper "Sight Alignment" from the US Army Marksmanship Manual - click the pic, and it'll appear full-size:

poop, Rene, look into "space guns," or the Tubb 2k rifle that David Tubb builds. <thumbsup> On another note, read some of the books from David Tubb. ;D

Gunner, you're fine, man. It happens, and there were multiple complications along the way. Communication is paramount in a transaction such as this, and you were in a spot where you had to make some priority decisions - and I think you made the right ones, with all things considered. I'd buy from you in a heartbeat, and I don't think you're in a bad place here, on this board. In fact, if you're selling more stuff, let me know. I'll hop in and buy something from you. If something happens, and I have to wait, what you've shown is that you'll do what you need to in order to make it right, and that you do have your priorities in order. That says more than anything else. <thumbsup> Don't hesitate to list more things for sale, brother. Don't think you're shunned, tarnished, or banished - you are very welcome here. Tom

My plan has worked... <lmao>

That topic came up as a posible Group Buy, and I can't remember who was organizing it. It didn't happen yet, but the topic did come up. <thumbsup>

Once you taste other things, there's no going back, either. What are you saying here, brother?... <dontknow> <lmao>

Exactly! Blind Ignorance was displayed by that idiot. Unreal. poop like that is the reason we have this problem... All the schools my kid has been in since 2007 - have a cop assigned to the school. In VA, the guy had a desk directly at the front door. "School Resource Officer" is the name of it. So, Phoenix, VA, and back in Sierra Vista, AZ. Cops in the school, and that's their job. <thumbsup>

So, ar15 diameter buffer tube, on a DPMS AP4 308? Possible?

It's from another thread that went WAY sideways... Only stated for the dramatic effect - and it worked! <thumbsup> I blame Jon... <lmao> <munch> -
That's "swing weight," too, brother - out there in the front, past the balance point. It'll make a dramatic effect, and feel like alot more than it is. Bonus, too - you gain a fixed front sight setup, and increased handguard length. <thumbsup>

Rail and barrel both shipping today, due here on Friday (BBT - Big Brown Truck). Everything else should ship tomorrow, and would probably be here Thursday. Still trying to get the right paint - haven't ordered that stuff yet. I'll build it and shoot it next weekend, then rip it down and paint it when I get the right stuff. <thumbsup>

The recoil of a .308 AR might break a SlideFire stock, like I'd break Dianne Feinstein in a wild sex-fest, though. Knock a hip outta socket!... ;D :cookoo: -
I've thought about sending Turnbull some parts, and I've actually checked into it - that's one DAMN EXPENSIVE process, but it's SO beautiful. Maybe on a .338 Lapua Magnum, huh?! ;D <thumbsup>

Damn, Jon, you are just wrong, brother. I could wreck that like it's never been wrecked before, but I wouldn't touch it with your penis, and Drew pushing... :cookoo: I concur on the mental illness part of ALL of this conversation - outside, or course, of Jon's mental fantasy about that wretched woman. Here's what get's me - you get Lautenberg'd (domestic violence), there's a FAST reporting vehicle for that, and you'll never pass a 4473 call-in AGAIN. Ever. So, there's a reporting vehicle for that. There's a question for it on the 4473, too. There's the question about being ordered for a mental "issue" by a court on the 4473, but there's no fucking nationwide reporting vehicle for it, back to the ATF. You can be pretty seriouslt fucked up in the head, courts can know about it, but they either can't or won't or don't get that damn info to the ATF - and whacko's buy guns. WHY is that? Because this country doesn't take Mental Illness seriously.

WOW! That sold out fast!

Yep. Hooded National Match rear sight. <thumbsup>

26 people this morning, Day 1. Temps were stated at 41 degrees, but that's in town, not out on the desert floor - it was cold! The wind was HOWLING almost all day. The flags was slammed out all morning, making noise in the wind. It was coming from 45 degrees to our right front, so tough to deal with on the firing line. At the end of Day 1, we made it through all the basic markmanship trainnig, and fired two qualification sessions - already have 4 people that qualified Rifleman. Pretty damn hard to do on Day 1. Great group of shooters out this time. <thumbsup>

Rail and barrel on the way - went for the big items before they were gone. Everything else, minus a BCG, should be on the way next week. BCGs are OOS everywhere right now... Might have to hit the LGS and overpay for a good one... :-[

Hey, brother! Check out the Zip Factory .22LR, man! EDIT - Sorry, guys - the site is down until Tuesday. Didn't know they did that, but it's completely understandable. http://zipfactory.com/ You can see some of it here: http://www.usfirearms.com/pages/ZIPGunCoyote.aspx

Ogive. Curve of the bullet, in a case that's 5mm longer than the 300BLK. Look down into a loaded (with 5.56) 5.56 mag - see those ribs at the front? Ogive on the .308 projo, loaded into a 40mm case, can hit the ribs, and reduce capacity. Here's some 5.56 to give you a visual: In a side-by-side look, you can see where the issue will be: Ribbed mag next to a de-ribbed mag: Loaded ribbed mag next to a loaded de-ribbed mag:

Mike, to take the delta ring and weld spring off the barrel nut, you'd have to remove the barrel nut - barrel can stay in the upper receiver, but the nut must come off to take it apart - just cut it with a dremel cut-off wheel. Cut the weld spring, too. After that, you can mangle the snap=ring with a pair of pliers, and take it off. Heat that flash hider - I almost guarantee you that DPMS loc-tited that fucker on the barrel. Everything else should be simple. If you don't have the tools, and time is a factor, find a local 'smith that knows ARs. If time is no factor, send me the upper, and I'll pop it apart right away for nothing, and set the handguard/front sight up for you, and ship it right back. <thumbsup>

The news on this just keeps getting more twisted, and worse. The problem in this country isn't too many guns, and not enough gun control. The problem in this country is not enough guns, and not enough people proficiently trained to use them. "Gun control and gun laws" shouldn't be a list of who can have and who can't have firearms, or where you can carry, and not. "Gun Control" should be a list of firearms qualification requirements you have to meet, and how often you have to meet them - for everybody over 18. Proficiency. I can't even imagine how so many of those parents feel right now. That will last forever.
