  1. And the upper receiver, in full integrity, is what adds all the support to the barrel extension... A different rail system would have alleviated any cutting of the upper at all. A different combination would have eliminated all that cutting, and if the side-cocking upper was definitely a "must have," then a different rail would be in order. That was the point I was trying to make. I'd hate to see someone read this thread, down to the point where you said you got a poop-product from Fulton Armory. Clint McKee doesn't put out a poop product, ever. <dontknow>
  2. ...And we had the "Powder Alarms." By the third time they went out to try to seize the powder and ball, we had learned - and they were shocked at the outcome. <thumbsup>
  3. Hypocrisy on several counts - ** Firearms in schools ** Armed security in schools ** Carrying firearms in DC ** All the trash talk from many media personalities, saying this is an unneccessary step for the country to take - when they have their own kids in this same school... It's not likely that they forgot where their own kids go to school, when they're running their mouth on their news program...
  4. I'm up to 15, but that includes the .308 AR. If I haven't lost count... <dontknow>
  5. ^^^ I like this guy already... <thumbsup> ;D
  6. Yeah, same here! <dontknow> All previous requests for special pics have been honored - are you scrooging out on us here? AND... you're looking nice these days, Rob. I'm just sayin'... ;D
  7. I'm thinking you selected the wrong combination of rail, and stripped upper. Fulton makes a standard AR-15 flat top upper receiver, too.
  8. soof, you only notched the outside of the receiver? Not all the way through... It might not be bad at all (safety-wise)... <dontknow>
  9. The pickins were slim for .30 cal projos here in Glendale today. Not much at all, and definitely not in any weight that I was looking for. The only .224" projos were the super-light stuff, too. The only ones that were even decent were Hornady 55gr FMJ boat tails, and I wasn't about to pay $13.99 for a hundred on those things. In the past, I've walked by the .224" 500-rd boxes of Sierra Match Kings in the 69 and 77 grain. They were always around $105 and $120, respectively, for the 500 box. Those were nowhere in sight today, and I'm wishing I would have bought a box every time I was in there... :-[
  10. Matt, if they extend the offer to "hike" the TVD - Tennessee Valley Divide - then you need to RUN! That IS where they filmed Deliverance. It's also home to Mountain Phase, US Army Ranger School (Dahlonega, GA, other side of the river...). They're either trying to set you up to get "squeeeeeeled" by the locals, or get your ass kicked over a Snickers, by a hungry, delirious Mountain Phase student... :o <dontknow> Watch your back, brother. Literally... <laughs>
  11. You're looking for this thing, right here, man: http://www.lymanproducts.com/lyman/case-prep/case-prep-multi-tool.php MSRP from Lyman is $26, street price at good stores is $20~$22 (it was $21.99 at Cabela's). DON'T get it from Flea Bay - gougers are asking $35-ish for it there. Gougers suck.
  12. What exactly does "what you have done here," have to do with the quality out of Fulton Armory?... This doesn't have anything to do with Fulton Armory... <nutkick> :bitchslap:
  13. Their anti-rotation tabs go on the OUTSIDE of the receiver... You shouldn't have to cut the upper, at all... EDIT - Did you put this on a .308 upper?!...
  14. I can't believe you cut the upper - I wouldn't even use a chopped up upper receiver as a dedicated .22... :cookoo:
  15. What kind of handguard is that?
  16. I'm not quite sure what the hell I'm looking at... Did you cut a notch in the upper receiver?...
  17. <laughs> <lmao>
  18. If you hear banjo's... :o I'm just sayin'. <dontknow> Have a good one, Matt, and I hope it doesn't take us all that much time to restore your sanity, once you return. I think, as far as "keeping" it, that might be a pipedream... <laughs>
  19. 200~300, for both? It's gonna be tough getting a good barrel (meaning quality, but definitely not match quality) for that. Especially now, with everything going on. You'll probably need to rearrange some funds, especially if that's something you want sooner rather than later. There might be some deals out there, but you better fire up the search engines and be ready with the cards. <thumbsup>
  20. I have several of those - great quality part, from great people. <thumbsup>
  21. There's never enough Varget, brother... <laughs> Let me know when it comes in, and we'll concoct some kinda scheme for it.
  22. I may need to drive over and meet up with ya, brother - and him, too! <thumbsup>
  23. Damn, they make a nice 1911. Great score! <thumbsup>
  24. Plenty, for clearance. <thumbsup>
  25. Dude! You have my Woody!!! <lmao>
