  1. That's some fine shootin', Rene! <thumbsup>
  2. Now, how in the hell do you have that many thumbs?... <dontknow> <laughs>
  3. I want it loud and blasty for the dude that's in front of it - I don't give a poop about his hearing... <thumbsup> <lmao> If he winds up on that side of it, it's for a reason - he has bigger issues at that point... <dontknow>
  4. Whomever you deem a trustee is who will be able to use the items in the trust. In a NFA trust, you need to be one of the trustees in order to use the NFA items on your own (owner not present during use).
  5. Magwa, if you cut the delta ring off with a dremel, and cut the weld spring, then you wouldn't have to remove that barrel nut (and disassemble it from the back). That's the easiest way to go about it. Gas tube roll pins are gas tube roll pins - they're all the same. You can remove the one you have in the railed gas block, and reuse it in the A2 asembly that you have, if it's not damaged. They're pretty easy to get out. <thumbsup>
  6. Felt concussion on a short barrel can be pretty heinous. On my 11.5", to me as the shooter, it feels no different than a 14.5" carbine. the 7.5" is a complertely different story. I started it with a standard A2, just to shoot it, and it damn near rattled my teeth - the concussion was BAD. I decided to not dick around with a bunch of different devices, and just put the KX3 (pig) on there right away. I feel no concussion now - just like shooting any of the other ones, now. The biggest advantage - people next to me don't get blasted out. <thumbsup> Mike has a shorty, too - I think it's a 7.5". I don't know what kind of muzzle device he has, but that thing was painfull to shoot beside. :o On a 10.5", you are right at that length where it might not bother you too bad, and it might not be very bad when beside it. There's ONE way to determine that, too... Have someone else shoot it, and you stand beside it. Once you do that, itll be pretty clear which direction you need to go. NOTE: I'm not talking about getting directly beside the end of the barrel. Keep yourself about 5 to 8 feet to the side... about the distance to the next shooting table at a range...
  7. Let's do it! <thumbsup>
  8. Unlocked - follow this flowchart, and you can't go wrong. <thumbsup> http://www.calguns.net/caawid/flowchart.pdf

    GET SOME!!

I could try to explain that, Matt, but it's probably easier if I just post the link - nothing in your search history that way... LOTS less to explain! <thumbsup> <lmao> http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/482372/

Nah - the donkey's boyfriend just got shot - he was mourning. <thumbsup> You guys have heard about that, right?... <laughs> <lmao> FLIR vids are out there... <dontknow>
  14. Hey unlocked, reason I said that was - good tech info will get lost in the Intro section. If it's in the right (rifle) tech section, people that hit those sections will always see it. <thumbsup> You'll have responses to your (long ago answered) questions two years down the road... <laughs> Wasn't trying to bring you down, man, if it seemed that way. ;D
  15. That IS great news! It's a victory for you, in KaliforniStan! <thumbsup>
  16. carnivore, that is EXCELLENT work on that paintjob!!! <thumbsup> You knocked that outta the park, man. Fine, fine work. :happydrunks:

  18. Damn thing HAS to be a strange cross-bred Whale Shark combination!!!... :o
  19. AWESOME PRICE!!! I'm pretty sure that if I could find a deal like that locally, with two of them on-hand, I'd be able to talk Jon into "1/2 a matched set..." <lmao> ;D
  20. That's the best damn thing I've read in weeks... <lmao> <laughs> <thumbsup>
  21. Your's was unreal to shoot, brother - flatest shooting rifle I've ever fired. That thing was so fast on-target for follow-ups. <thumbsup>
  22. Just make sure you pick/spec the DPMS-compatible LITE rail setup - it's barrel nut will fit your upper. The Armalite-compatible LITE will come with a barrel nut that definitely WON'T work on your upper. <thumbsup>
  23. Anything I can do to help, brother wash, anything at all... <thumbsup> <laughs>
  24. SPBCTS, don't get the Jack rifle wrong, just based on what's said here - that is a very, very high quality rifle that is backed by a couple very important things - Travis Haley is the one that spec'd the parts. Bravo Company and Geissele are the two main component companies, and those are of the very highest quality in components. Now, both those companies also have guarantees on their parts that are rivaled by very few other companies, and their customer service is also top-notch. Now, with a combination like that, it's definitely a rifle that you never have to worry about "breaking," and if something could/should happen to go wrong with it, the problem will be handled in rapid fashion. The price is up there, in LaRue territory, quite honestly. It's a little steep. At this time, parts are kinda hard to find, to make matters even more complicated. I'll build this rifle with a couple changes, but those are parts that I prefer to have on my rifles. I can build it a little cheaper than the listed price, with the few other parts that I like to shoot with. I won't build it at any lesser quality than it's at in it's current offering, and some parts I use will be better than what it's coming with. I'll just have to see how it all turns out. I did locate a Cerakote color that's pretty damn similar, too. <thumbsup>
