  1. This has to be Mega's answer to the "monolithic" upper, after the VLTOR lawsuit threat - and it's alot like a LaRue OBR, in construction. It'll be badass. <thumbsup>
  2. Found a news article about it, and it's odd, from the source. Fox News. Try to find something about this mentioned from MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN... Good luck. Now, why is that? The answer is pretty clear, why it would be tough to find a story like this from one of those sources. Click 'em: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/06/22/mexican-gangs-permanent-lookouts-parkland/ http://voices.yahoo.com/border-patrol-facing-mexican-gangs-dug-inside-arizona-6264500.html?cat=7
  3. There may be lighter option out there, over the "DD Lite" rail, but it's pretty damn good. You're not running a front sight anyway, so I know you can save some on that big gas block that's on there, and run a PRI, Midwest industries, YHM, or other low profile block. They're all good, small(er), and lighter than what's on there. Here's the Daniel Defense rail I'm talking about: https://danieldefense.com/rail-systems.html?cat=44&rail_gas_system=60 The carbine-length rail setup will definitely weight less than the current setup you have, when you count components - original barrel nut, delta ring, spring, retaining ring, and front handguard ring. The DD Lite carbine setup comes in at 13.2 ounces. You won't know for sure until you take off all your parts and weigh them (or find a resource that already lists that weight), but it would be lighter than what you have now. You might even be able to run the midlength setup, gain a little more handguard space, and come in under, or at, what you're at now (in components). Here's the DD Lite carbine length pic - it retails (MSRP) for $355, but you can find it cheaper from other online sources: Check out the lo-pro gas blocks - they'll certainly be lighter. I can list the sources, if you need them, but they're mentioned above.
  4. I looked the spacer up, brother - I can see what you mean, and how it works. I think you'll need a vented screw. Find a machine shop... <thumbsup> <lmao>
  5. Somewhere, I've got a graphic/map overlay saved that had those locations listed on it - I'm trying to find it right now... Still looking for that map, but here's another one that's shocking - US land that's closed to Americans, because it's "too dangerous." Why's it too dangerous, you ask? Drug Smuggling.
  6. This: How many people realize that the drug cartels have hilltop lookout sites all over southern Arizona? LP/OPs, run by the cartels... I poop you not.
  7. I already know I'd need a couple of them. <thumbsup> :o
  8. I like the "integration." Badass. <thumbsup>
  9. Soldering iron trick works like a champ, doesn't it? <thumbsup> Rips up loc-tite right now. <laughs> That stock extender goes on the back of the receiver extension? Like the 5/8" A2 stock spacer? Where does that thing go? I thought there was a device that went between the receiver and receiver extension out there.
  10. The fucking tunnel system going into Nogales was an eye-opener for alot of people. Search for details on that one - it's not talked about much anymore.
  11. ...and when they bought AAC, then shitcanned the former owner... F U C K Freedom Group/Cerberus.
  12. Mega billet receiver looks like it's sporting the Noveske key-mod rail. NICE!!!
  13. That is one sweet setup. I'm trying to find pricing now... Great... ;D
  14. You're gonna fit in great here... <lmao> Welcome aboard, man. <thumbsup>
  15. Oh yeah, here we go - TLR pics are mandatory. <thumbsup> ;D
  16. Never, ever, ever - trust a deer. Never, ever. Here are three examples that what I speak is the truth: http://www.break.com/usercontent/2007/7/deer-attack-340115 Don't trust 'em. Ever. Magwa, looking at your rifle, there's really only a couple things you could do to lighten it up - it's pretty light already, based on components. Some type of smaller, lo-pro gas block with get that chuck of a gas block off there, and cut down some "swing weight." That's a significant "felt difference" out there away from the center of the rifle. Another thing would be a lightweight rail setup, and the Daniel Defense Lite comes to mind. You'd lose the delta ring assembly, the ring at the front of the handguard, and maybe lose a little weight that way. It's also weight forward of center-line on the rifle, again reducing swing weight. It would feel significantly different, even if it's only 1/2 pound total. <thumbsup>
  17. I baited you with my response - I knew I'd get something funny in return... <thumbsup> <lmao>
  18. That would have been cool, Matt - Greg's Never Ending Journey, 2012 World Tour... <thumbsup> <lmao>
  19. Damn, that's a nice lookin' can ya got there... <thumbsup>

    Suggestions?

Hell yes, it sure will, my brother. Lock directly on there. <thumbsup>
  21. Brother, we can help you get the ting on your rifle - that's not an issue. Glad you saw my post the way you did - I often don't have a "filter," or usually just don't choose to use it... <dontknow> <laughs>
  22. They already do this, by the way. Been going on for a few years... Sad Situation in the Drug War, in reality. You don't see it in the mainstream media, because they refuse to cover news like this. You know, since our borders are "secure" and all. Heminut knows about this stuff - NM is as bad as AZ.
  23. The .338 LM Target looks incredible! <thumbsup>
  24. That is a GREAT pic, brother. <thumbsup>
  25. Group photo at the end of the day Sunday - the Range Master was gonna lock us in there... <laughs>
