    Hello All!

Damn. :o I didn't even do anything, and warnings were issued... <dontknow> I suspect foul play - some sort of discrimination combined with conspiracy. <laughs> Welcome aboard, webb - kick your feet up and relax. Somewhat. Guard your wallet, though. <thumbsup>
  2. Test fire.
  3. It's "stockpiling" and "preserving..." <lmao>
  4. Dude has to be Filipino - that's not even fair... <thumbsup> <laughs>
  5. Then you need a tradition fixed front sight base with bayoney lug, as well as an A1 or A2 type issued flash suppressor. For a .308 AR. Since the diameter is larger on the .308 AR over the AR-15/M-16 issued flash suppressor, you'd need to be ready to increase the diameter of the mounting hole on your bayonet. Additionally, you'd need to make sure the traditional front sight base is the same distance from your flash suppressor as that of the M16A1, M16A2, or M4 issued rifles/carbines. My $0.02.
  6. Drew, sorry about the feline buddy, brother. That just sucks. Bad. :'( I hate when it comes to that, and hate going through it.
  7. Rene, you sound "burdened" with the Honey-Do's... You've got alot on your hands, brother (besides tearing up the hand! :o) I just want you to know I'm here for you, brother - I'll shoot that Scorp. <thumbsup> <laughs>
  8. I'll wait for clarification from the OP, but he seems pretty sure he bought a DPMS barrel. My assumption that he knows what he bought, is just as good as your assumption that he might have bought an AR-10 barrel by mistake, despite his own statement...
  9. The gas block pic attachment doesn't line up with the top rail - you have to buy a specific, taller front sight that is designed to work on a pic rail gas block. It's not same-plane sighting. Advantages to freefloat FAR outweigh any disadvantages - there's no reason not to use a freefloat tube of some sort, if you're building one. No reasons at all.
  10. Yes, they are .223 sized mag pouches - you can get the thing straight molle compatible, and that's the one I'm pushing. Men's sizes? Men like you, you mean? No, they don't make that. That's called "Kodiak Bear Sized..." <laughs> <lmao>
  11. Sounds great! I'll do one thousand. I'll contact you via PM. <thumbsup>
  12. Lo-pro gas blocks should fit under a freefloat setup. Depends on the manufacturers fir the fine details. If you pick a freefloat, we can help with a lo-pro that will work.
  13. OPs info, in the first post - both are DPMS barrels.
  14. THIS. IS. PRICELESS!!! :hethan: I can't believe this idiot stated this... I expect much more from the guy that invented the internet... :o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjg2oYMDC7g On another note, that newscaster is SMOKIN' FUCKIN' HOT!!! :love4:
  15. Depends on what the barrel maker specs for a gas system, man. Fulton Armory has some fantastic 16" DPMS-based barrels that run standard rifle-gas systems. survivalshop, here, has one. Some barrel makers run carbine gas systems on 16" barrels - if the gas port diameter on those isn't dead-on, that thing would kick you like a pissed off mule. If you've got your barrel questions answered, did you already decide on a specific barrel? If so, you're stuck with a gas tube length that barrel is made for, and it's a moot point on gas tube length. If you've only settled on a length for the barrel, and don't have it yet, then you still have options on the gas system that you choose, based on what the different makers offer. <thumbsup> Gas block - lo-pro, pic-rail block - what do you want, for function? AR-15 gas blocks all work, and it depends on the barrel maker for the right size. Fulton Armory uses .936" diameter on their stainless Criterion barrels. Spill all your questions in this thread - they'll get answered. Guaranteed.
  16. Glen Seekins has been busy! ;D Three new 300BLK barrels are on the market now: 8" pistol gas, 10" pistol gas, and 12" pistol gas. - 1:7 twist - 5/8x24 threads - Pistol length gas system - Matte blasted finish
  17. Yep, sure is. Back is open for the guys that have to carry packs. Front plate only. <thumbsup>
  18. Rene, you blast that Scorpion yet, brother?
  19. Very cool - how much do you have? I need to know how much I'd need to send... <laughs>
  20. Damn, I double-tapped this thread... :o <dontknow>
  21. Jon, this is the latest thing I'm trying to talk the ATV unit members into:
  22. That is smart as hell. One-stop shopping for new builders. <thumbsup>
  23. Needed it and used it in the past, militarily. Have never needed it post-military. Militarily, I'd have some range training where we'd have 12 guys, 25,000 rounds of 5.56, and two days of shooting, every four months. That's when it's valuable. I've never needed it on the battlefield, because you clean those bastards every chance you get. I'm sure the guys in Mogadishu on 3 October 1993, 19 years ago, were glad they had 'em. <thumbsup>
  24. Looks good, man. <thumbsup> Is there any way you can attach a larger pic? If it's saved on your computer already, you can click the "Browse" button below the message body when making a post, search and select the file, and it'll attch the image directly from your computer, full-sized. If your barrel has been final finish-lapped (something done on some "match" barrels), then you might not need the Tubb Final Finish ammo. It is good stuff, though - I love it.
  25. <laughs> <lmao>
