  1. My S3G, SSA, and SSA-E aren't anything like what you're describing here. <dontknow>
  2. I just new it... ;D <laughs>
  3. That's a myth and a rumor, and it keeps on going. I don't want this thread to turn into a "what's legal?" thread here. However, there is no such thing as "constructive intent," as it's commonly called and talked about. It's all on print on the BATFE website, it just takes some reading and looking to find info.
  4. Not an SBR until it's attached to something. Until then, it's only an upper. It's not up to the company to decide what you do with your NFA Items. It's up to the end user. If I want to purchase a 14.5" barrel, or an 11.5" barrel, or a 7.5" complete upper, it's none of that company's business what I do with it. Just an upper, or even a barrel, is not an NFA Item by itself. When I'm looking at stuff like that online, I appreciate the company listing a warning that says "NFA Items are your responsibility," et al. When I see a company that lists a 11.5" barrel, and tells you you can't buy it because it's an NFA Item, then they tel me I need to order from a dealer - I don't buy that item from them at all. They have NO idea whether I'm building a legal SBR, or a pistol from that part - nor should they care. ATF says you can own it without a purchase-restriction, to the company shouldn't be placing a restriction on the individual. I don't like the fact that YHM does this - but I still buy from them, once in awhile. Most of the time, if I'm looking for a YHM part, I buy it from a vendor. For other companies that have this policy, I don't and won't even buy from them. Perfect example: http://yhm.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=17_29_58&products_id=400 That's BS. That barrel isn't part of a controlled item until I make it into a rifle, without a tax stamp. I can buy that, legally, and have it shipped straight to my house, and build a completely legal AR pistol out of it. I don't need a Class 3 Dealer to do that, not do I need any kind of ATF approval. Companies that do that just suck. I don't like that YHM does it, and I keep supporting them anyway - it's a personal-confusion kinda thing... :o <dontknow>
  5. UPS that thing down here, and I'll fix that for ya. <lmao> Sweet rig, brother. <thumbsup>
  6. Something like this? http://yhm.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_6&products_id=42
  7. Very good vid and description of the rifle: http://militarytimes.com/blogs/gearscout/2012/01/19/larue-obr-hybrid-costa-edition/comment-page-1/#comment-19119

You can pick up the BCG you desire, then send it off to WMD Guns for some NiB coating. <thumbsup> Not sure what the cost would be for a .308 BCG, but I'm sure they'd quote it of you called them up. (231) 421-GUNS (4867) http://www.wmdguns.com/
  9. You did an incredible job on that gas block - that's badass. <thumbsup>
  10. The Armalite AR-10 bolt catch is a little more robust than the DPMS .308 version, and it fits DPMS-type .308 lowers. Just information. <thumbsup>
  11. I was the first one you sent them to, Rome, the last time you did that on ARFCOM. Still can't thank you enough, man. <thumbsup> I wish we would have listed our city and state on the instruction card as we passed them on...
  12. If you've still got it, put it up for sale here on the board, in the For Sale section.
  13. That WILL happen if you "try one." Just warning you now... <thumbsup> <lmao>
  14. The set screw method is much, much more secure. <thumbsup>
  15. I hope the issues with that thing have been fixed. Very few makers have an offering as nice looking as that one, and I alost went that route early on.
  16. Shoulda bought the damn thing last October, when there were three of them hanging on that hook... :o <laughs>
  17. I hope ALELKS sees this - he's pretty damn good. <thumbsup>
  18. Big-Bore, that's an awesome piece of hardware, man. <thumbsup> Jon, I went to the Kimber Tac Pro II 4", and haven't looked back. I love that thing.
  19. The Norgon ambi mag release is a really great piece of gear - I only run it on one rifle (Spikes billet 5.56 gun), but it is nice. For the Ambi safety, I only have ony recommendation, but there's really nothing out there that can even come close to this - The Battle Arms Development Ambi Safety Selector - the BADASS. Honestly, don't even look at anything else. No joke. Make sure that spring and buffer are .308 specific - the 5.56 counterparts will NOT work in a .308 semi.
  20. Former g/f lived in Lakewood - yeah, I know the Lakewood jokes... <lmao> I've been roaming around that area quite a bit. Found a badass tattoo place to touch up my ink out in Elyria, during one of my visits. You've gotta be within driving distance of ADCO - that would be very bad for me, in that situation... <dontknow> <laughs>
  21. I'm pretty sure she's still teaching the Scout Rifle class there - I want to hit that course BAD... :o http://www.gunsite.com/main/course-offerings/rifle/scout-rifle/
  22. Remington Dri Lube. Works great in guns that fire "dirty," like .22LR and .45 ACP. It's all I run in my 10/22s and the AR 45. <thumbsup> Almost every WalMart carries it.
  23. That would be the straw that... ah, we know. <laughs> Rene, I never knew, brother... <lmao>
