If you're looking at cross-breeding with aftermarket parts, I'd advise not going with the RRA gun. There's so many little things that are different from the two "basic" types that you'll have a hard time finding aftermarket support for it. My $0.02. Welcome aboard, by the way... ;D

I've got a Kimber BP Ten II double stack .45, and I got lucky on factory mags about a year ago - nailed 4 of them for $60. :o Doesn't help you much, but it's still a fond memory, just seeing those things sitting there for $15 per... SNATCH!!! ;D

The shady way of doing it bugs me, but it's within the company. WHAT "international location?" And without prior permission. Okay, no license or permission. That's some pretty amazing accuracy - both the rifle and the shooter would have to be up to that, in a big way. I don't think there are many people that could put a 1st round shot out at that range and hit something that small. Just sayin'...

Or the barrel extension. Use the tip of the firing pin to push the retaining pin out, and the extractor will drop right off the top of the bolt. Push the extractor inward with your thumb while pushing it's retaining pin out.

The info I posted (3rd post in this thread) came directly from a DPMS employee. Everything in italics is a direct quote from them. The numbers given and the way to measure is how they say to do it - but I would like to read the other way you've mentioned. The plot thickens... <laughs>
