See, now - that big, hairy killing machine had all intentions of making him the next meal. Or, at least making him the next large animal it was gonna stash, and come back to later. We has one running around here in Southern AZ a few years ago - dead deer stacking up left and right, hidden in the brush. Took awhile for them to find the cat and put a stop to his habits, before he wandered into the nearby town...

Yeah, made a mistake there - it's the one on the right... not left. Had a slight dumbass attack there. <laughs> It's not a pic rail on the top, but it's made for direct attachment of the Aimpoints or the Vortex - that's why I wondered how yours attached. That left one I posted above is a 30mm ring for a traditional Aimpoint (M2, M3, etc.).

I like the Bushnell red dots. They're solid little units. On another note, check the mounting pattern on the base of that one you have - whilst perusing the optics section at a small store recently, I was surprised to see that Weaver makes a mount that will fit the Aimpoint T1, H1, and Vortex Sparc det dots, as well as anything else with the same mounting pattern. It was cheap, somewhere around $35-$40. EDIT - This one on the left right in the pic, Weaver model 99668:

D'oh! :o I didn't get touched here in my speck of AZ, with all that crazy weather that hit. The mountains behind me got a light dusting of the fluffy stuff, but it didn't do any more than a light flurry in town. Surrounding areas got the smack down, though, in some way, shape or form. Sleds in snow, though - I love it. Can't even explain it - kinda like "floating with speed" through the stuff, unless it's wet and heavy. At that point, it's like paddling through mashed potatoes. >:(

The bolt is the "piston" in a DI gun - complete with it's gas rings (piston rings). The BCG is the cylinder that the "piston" rides in. No joke. ;D It's just a piston without a connecting rod. <thumbsup>

It'll happen in 2011, but I have no idea which direction I'm going right now for it. 5.56 SBR needs to get finished, and the wait is not up to me (thanks, BATF-E). .308 SBR is a serious contender, and I'm working on some special parts for that one - if they come through, it gets pushed ahead of a .338 LM, just because of availability of said special parts. I'm going to hell-in-a-handbasket if I'm not blasting some .338 LM by this time next year, though, and that's the demons inside me telling me that. :o <dontknow> I can't control it... <laughs>
