  1. Start a new thread on this. It completely has Nothing to do with any Pistol Brace Update (thread title, you know) that's going on with BATFE. At all. Thanks in advance.
  2. These guys pretty well covered it. That recoil system in your gun is fucked - it'll never work. Only thing I would change is bump that gas port diameter up to 0.090". When you test this gun, ALWAYS test it with your adjustable gas block WIDE OPEN. As open as it will go. You waste less ammo that way. Since it's all about learning, or the desire to learn, here in this thread, then read this:
  3. Told ya I was gonna build a Kino. Upper is done, brace purchased, receipts saved and scanned into the hard drive. @blue109, it's a dirty little fucker.
  4. Only in the summer, once all the Snowbirds are gone. They hide that sign again in the fall, to get the Snowbirds to come back.
  5. Take your stock bolt release/bolt catch plate, and make it look like the pic below. You still lock it back with the lever underneath, but to release the bolt, you just tug back the charging handle and it releases. It's the very first thing that should be done to every 10/22. IMHO, anyway. No more fucking around under the bottom of the gun, just to reload and chamber a round. It takes longer to take it out of the gun and put it back in, than it takes to perform the modification to it.
  6. RIGHT! I WILL ADMIT... I did have to drop $100 for a brick of CCI 41s. Wasn't happy about the price - but I was happy they were there to purchase, and I needed them...
  7. Here's all you need for a 2 3/4 lb trigger pull: http://powercustom.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=82 Here's the Big Kahuna: http://powercustom.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=81
  8. Very well done, Russ. There's lots of money out there in some really fancy 10/22 parts, and badass trigger packs. The Ruger trigger is the cheapest trigger pack that you can get. When those things first came out, I looked at them, and you can test the trigger pull right there in the package. Some are good, others, not so much (but still better than stock). I highly, highly recommend these guys for 10/22 trigger parts. All my 10/22s have trigger parts from here - Power Custom, Grand Master LLC: http://powercustom.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=4 I've only done the Deep Dive on their full titanium kit one time, and it's EVERYTHING you need to make a better shooting 10/22. I did that on an old 1970's rig that I found, with the real, metal lower/trigger guard. That's my Appleseed Gun, right there. All other guns got the hammer and sear packs, and a few other little doo-dads, but it changes the trigger immensely. Turns it into a real trigger. If you get some trigger parts from them, and you think they suck, I'll buy them from you for whatever you had to pay, plus your shipping to you, plus the shipping to me. It's a No-Lose Offer, brother. I say that, because I don't think you'll hate it, not at all. But if... I got you covered. I'll use 'em! P.S. If you haven't cut up your bolt release yet, you need to do it. 5 minutes with a Dremel and a chainsaw sharpening bit, and convert it to an auto bolt release. That's the first thing that every 10/22 should have. Don't spend money on one - it's too easy to do it yourself.
  9. Burris XTR Signature Rings are fully MOA adjustable. You'll pay for that, though. You can go from 0 MOA to 40 MOA with those rings. We mounted those on GunPusher John's .375 CheyTac, on top of a 30 MOA rail. I told him he needed 70 MOA in that scope to do what he wants to do, and he found a way...
  10. That's what usually led to me climbing up his ass here, after he posted stupid shiit. Your intuition was on point.
  11. RPR's are badass. That's a nice collection, man - I'd call that "a good start." We'll take over from here, and feed your sickness/affliction/addiction. Watch out for some of these people - they are PURE HEINOUS, and don't care about your personal finances. Looks like Ravenshiits finally did something right, when he fucked up and blamed you for someone else's post - on ANOTHER BOARD, whilst talking shiit... He got you here, anyway. Great job, RavenA$s... I'm guessing is the .mil left you in the PNW, then you're around the Fort Lewis location. Did 12 years there, and loved every one of them. I would have went back after retirement, owned a house in Spanaway - but the Wet-Side lost their minds and fucked that state all up. Hell yeah, man - if it's not dirt-colored, it's just wrong. God made deer, squirrels and rabbits in FDE, and we can't find those fuckers when we're looking for them...
  12. Exactly - I reply to their extortion emails, too, just to piss them off. One weekend, when nothing is going on, I'm gonna get in the beer, and down load all my images from that place over the years, and delete everything there. THEN, I'll start sending REALLY NASTY REPLIES when they email me, demanding money. The services agreement I SIGNED when I started that was FREE... Now, they want money, or hold my images hostage. They can Most of my emails start with "WE SIGNED A CONTRACT - AND NOW YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE CONTRACT?!!? EXPLAIN YOUR LEGAL STANDING, ON A SIGNED CONTRACT..."
  13. Randy Luth used to own DPMS, and sold it to Remington, and started his own company - so, small company, yes... and no. He's been in this business since 1986, and really is a pioneer in the Large Frame AR market, with the LR-308. He knows what he's doing. The PRS-3 is a heavy bitch - but heavy isn't your concern, and yes, the additional weight will help with recoil mitigation. Also, the PRS-3 can mount to a rifle receiver extension, or a mil-spec carbine receiver extension. The Luth can't do that. The Luth is lighter, by half that weight. Another option, and what I used on my .260 Rem, is the AB Arms Urban Sniper Stock. Fully adjustable, goes on a carbine receiver extension, and had 2 inches of LOP adjustment once you mount it in place. And it's even lighter than the Luth. https://www.abarms.com/A-B-Arms-Urban-Sniper-Stock-USS-p/abauss.htm I went with the optional buttpad for it, and it works great. I'll never change that stock out.
  14. We talked about this very video a few years ago here. Lot's of options for dealing with that guy, being that he jammed it up himself, and the gun don't work. We went through alot of scenarios on what to do with him.
  15. You're WAY GOOD, man. Don't even sweat it. You didn't start a single thing. You are very welcome here.
  16. Indeed, I'm fully aware, and knew if from the get-go. He's logged himself out as of March 23rd this year, and is only lurking here, as a "guest" - not logged in. He can see what I'm saying to him/about him. He won't do anything about it, though. He's just gonna troll other gun boards now, until THEY get tired of his shiit. He won't troll this place anymore, not with the lumps his dumb ass has taken here. Check it: The POS is using this board for information, to start shiit on other boards. Big FAIL. Looks like he'll hem himself up over on the Hide, too. The way he's going. BIG MAN Ravenshiits, over there. Good on him. They'll figure him out pretty quick.
  17. For video-proof, I'll send my can for FREE-FIDDY-FREE... Since @Lonewolf McQuade is pussing out, it's nice to see you stepping up to the plate.
  18. I have spare bolts, that I bought during the rumor of closing, then the resurrection. Not parting with them, but... for informational purposes, they just lock into a standard BCG body. If you can find a bolt... I'll provide detailed pics of the system again, if you want them. I know I put some up in my AR45 thread, but they might have been PhotoBucket (those fucking crooks), and my pics from them might not show now.
  19. Oh, this is just EPIC!... I hope Ravenshiits comes back to read your intro... Welcome aboard, man.
  20. I'd bang the hell out of Celine. I'm just sayin'... Her Deadpool video did it to me, for good...
  21. Hell yeah, and it's still there - it's canned, so it's FINE... I'll go get it out of the camper and sent it overnight FedEx, straight to @Lonewolf McQuade, if he's got enough sack to make a video eating it. I'll even include a brand new $50 bill in the package, taped around the can. Ulysses S. Grant - Welcome to the neighborhood, brother!!!
  22. Same here. My second one isn't built, just a barrel, but I headspaced it with a DPMS-based bolt before I stuck it in the "Build This Later" box. A DPMS-based bolt/BCG DOES RUN with the 716 12.5" barrel. MAN! Does it run!
  23. I like your Victor, my man. You do you - that shiitweasel can't overcome that - he has no idea, the wrath that can be brought down on him... Well, actually, he does. I hammered him all the time over here...
  24. When you come off like a dick people treat you like one. Oh, I read that thread over there, man. Believe me. He thinks he's a god by demeaning you over your post count? Well, fuckin' COME ON BACK, RAVENSHIIT... If post count is your thing, well, then... I'm your Huckleberry. That shiithead has 495 posts here over a 4.5 year period - and most were confrontational. I know that, because I was the one confronting him over his bullshiit here. Don't forget to tell him I love him over there. That's gonna chap his balls, certainly. I like your comment... I know I'm a dickhead. I've known it for decades, accepted it a LONG time ago, and I'm comfortable in my own skin. I like me, just like I am. If snowflakes, jackasses, douches, and fukheads don't like it - I don't even care. Phases me not in the least. If you bring information, back UP your information, with real data. Otherwise, go sit your ass on the porch and shut the fuk up. GET BACK IN THE CORNER!!! SHUT UP AND COLOR!!! And, this is the "kindler, gentler" version of me. I used to be worse. Ravenshiits knows it, too.
