  1. Correct. I can swap some parts, if you want, and test fit. They both look the same to me, I've never noticed differences in those two parts, between Armalite and DPMS-based. Keep track of the firing pin spring when you take that BCG apart.
  2. Yep. Push down on the tail of that extractor, and compress the spring, makes getting the pin out a little easier. Use the tip of the firing pin to get it started moving, then you can grab it on the other side and pull it right out. Was this gun ever fired before you bought it? How many rounds through it so far?
  3. Should be. Worth a shot. That's a bad piece of PPU brass. Is that the only one that stuck and then had the rim ripped off? Do me a favor, if you will - remove that extractor and get a few close-up pics of that thing, so I can see the groove that grabs the rim, then an additional pic of that extractor hooked up to a piece of brass, with the hook sitting on the rim. That extractor is definitely effed. That ejector has a very tiny raduis to the edge, but it's pretty square-faced. You could definitely remove it, chuck it in a hand drill, and round that edge off pretty well.
  4. When I keep that thing tightened down, all is perfect in the world. Put some new glass on it.
  5. You're basically pre-paying for an attorney to represent you, in the event you need to use your gun on a shiitbag, the shiitbag (lives, and) or his relatives press civil charges against you. In that event, it's invaluable. I have US Law Shield. I'm looking at USCCA, too, as an addition to that. Two is one, and one is none. <<< Thinking militarily, right there. Redundancy rules. When you make a plan, always plan for the worst. Then plan after that. PACE. Primary, Alternate, Contingency, and Emergency...
  6. Just oil. You can't even imagine how much oil I would have put on that blonde midget wrassler, brother. I would have dunked her in a vat, then put her in a big garden-sized bathtub, and slid around trying to catch her...
  7. This wet, brother. At a bare minimum, it needs to be this wet...
  8. Yeah, it was pretty dramatic for about 7 minutes, until I could get it to not bleed long enough to lay a good bead of the superglue. The first full minute was me jumping around doing the Owie Dance and cussing REALLY LOUD! After the superglue went on, it was pretty much a non-event. The whole thing transpired RIDICULOUSLY FAST, like all good accidents do... I need to get this t-shirt pretty soon.
  9. Oh, it sucked. I did see the cut line right away, and jammed the left thumb down there hard. I knew I had to crush it with direct pressure long enough to get the bleeding to stop, then hit it with the superglue. If the blonde widget would'a done this, I'd have better pics... Boss at work says, "You sure you don't want to go to the doctor? " Why, Boss? so they can scrape off my white superglue, and put on more purple superglue? No thanks... That fucking jack handle just about took a core sample out of my hand... THAT would have sucked...
  10. Didn't even notice it before I looked at these pics - it caught the skin on my thumb a little, too, barely... FML. Didn't even know that, but oh well...
  11. Boy I fucked up today. Played my favorite game... "Stupid Mechanic Tricks." I won, hands down, today. We only work 9~1 on Saturdays, and the Boss comes running back at 11am, when a customer walked in... He says, "Guys, I fucked UP! I completely FORGOT that this guy was coming today, to get this rig!... No problem, what do we need to add to it? Street-legal kit, which is horn, mirror, lighted license plate bracket, changes the tires/wheels to some custom stuff, and add a toolbox to the bed. Pssshhhh.... No issues, we'll get it done. I pop the horn and mirror in, while another (very large) guy is mounting/wiring the license plate bracket, so I move to changing the rear tires/wheels. Jack that thing up, zip the stockers off, mount the news ones up - and this guy is on the left rear corner, working that lic. bracket. I reach around him, to the jack handle, and twist/pop the jack loose. FUK! The jack handle was straight up, and I couldn't see around the guy, and the bad slammed down on top of the jack handle - where my hand was. WOOHOO!!! Caught me. HUGE avulsion, right between the thumb and index finger, missed the muscle, luckily. Just smashed/sliced/cut/ripped skin. Lucky it wasn't a finger or toe, would'a puked first, before administering self-aid. Shoved my left thumb in that fucker to keep it down, and prevent bleeding, grabbed a shop towel for more direct pressure, and reached for the Gorilla Glue superglue. Glued that flap back down, after the bleeding was mostly subsided, and dealt with the rest of the day. Shiitty part is - shooting the Mk12 in the morning, shooting the mag tweaks for the 6 ARC mags, and taking a new hairdresser out to shoot some pistol. That's gonna suck real bad, with this right at my trigger finger, and my grip-hand... Just gotta deal with it - and keep the superglue handy.
  12. 34 parts in a Glock. They just don't fuk up, all by themselves. They're too simple, and effective, in operation. I used to hate them. My dear friend @StainTrain will be happy to know that I've changes my ways, used the new ones, and seen the light.
  13. My current carry gun is a G43X with the 15-rd Shield Arms mags. So, with 1 in the pipe, a 15 loaded, a 15 spare and a 10 spare, I'm rolling 41 rounds of quality 9mm defensive ammo on me. That should be enough ammo to get me to whatever vehicle I'm driving that day - where I'll retrieve my rifle, and finish whatever it is that's still so serious. Exactly.
  14. I hated Glock for years - hell, decades. Because I did shoot a 1st Gen G17 right after they were released, and I hated it. So, I hated all Glocks, for decades. Then, I bought a Gen 5 G19X. That gun changed me. If I know I'm going to get into a gunfight, ahead of time (clairvoyant, and all that shiit), I'd pack that 19x that day, over any Kimber 1911 in my safe, or and XD-series in my safe. No questions asked, no second thoughts, and I'd have no regrets. Now, having said that, I'm a 1911 FAN... I love 1911s. But, I'd pick up that 19X over one of them, if I knew ahead of time it was gonna be a gunfight.
  15. Yep, zero mention of Trump in the 3 vids that they put up on FB Live this morning. However, FB smoked all three of their vids already. Gone...
  16. Made one major change to the gun from this month... And I think I've created the World's Most Perfect Mk12. Not joking. I'll shoot it this weekend with DirtBike Tommy, and give updates afterwards. I don't think there can ever be a more perfect 5.56 precision rifle. All jokes aside, this is the Sheeeit.
  17. Truth. You can fight it, but you'll quickly come to the realization that you just need to lay back, and let it happen... https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/407d32bf-9ebc-45fc-94b9-a965f3a8786e
  18. Pretty crazy, looking at that Doc. Reminds me of Stilwell Hall at Fort Ord, CA. Amazing formal dining area and club, and erosion in the Monterey Bay took it out. It was demolished in 2004. I partied in that place in 1986~1991. Gone now. https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Stillwell-Hall-a-soldiers-club-on-the-Fort-Ord-military-base-was-threatened-by-rapid_fig16_274483476 Back in the day, driving up to park there...
  19. Excellent results, Chief! Well done.
  20. Yep. Fuk Pima County, and fuk Maricopa County. Metro Phoenix and Metro Tucson. The rest of the state is great, but those two shiithole cities are gonna ruin it for the whole state, if the "just moved in" Libs keep the pace that they're going... Leave your stupid voting habits behind, motherfuckers - that's why you LEFT the state that you did... Don't bring your garbage over here, and dump it.
  21. Seriously. You're that special, and I feel we bonded. Once you come out here, it's happening... ❤️❤️❤️
  22. That's scary, brother - you live right on the edge of those things, don't you?
  23. Living that right now, brother... AZ is on fire...
  24. Oh, you're just another Epic one, brother. The "infusion" of the Full30 board and this place was one of the smartest things ever done. I'll dig out Robert's Intro post if I have to... His screen name here was pretty bold, for a new guy... @Robert@FULL30... I think I jumped him first, with a smartass comment... "So, Robert, do you LIKE Full30, and you're a fanboi?... or do you WORK there?... " Immediate smackdown on me... He runs the fuckin' forum over there!... I think it was love at first sight, right then, right there, and we were gonna develop some beautiful things... Long walks on the beach, kick the sandals off, hold hands in the moonlight... ❤️❤️❤️ If he ever shows up out here for a Spring Shoot or a Fall Shoot, he's gettin' a SPECIAL Pants Down Hug! You know... If he's not skeered to come out here... .308AR.com Fall Shoot is coming up in November...
