  1. They don't take retail customers to the shop, and they have no storefront. But, I'm local too, and have been there to purchase parts. It's how you talk to them, on the phone, that gets you in that door. You'll be impressed, once the door-guard lets you in. That main office is amazing... Call them. Explain the situation. You'll get an invite.
  2. I would totally do that to @JBMatt...
  3. China does more damage from polluting that you could with 1,000 of those backpack 2-stroke leaf blowers running Wide Open, as long as you could keep gas in them, and keep them pinned. We aren't the problem, so stop believing the hype. We could all drive 2-stroke dirtbikes or quads to work everyday - WFO - and pollute less than China. We aren't the solution - we need to look at the real problem, and stop listening to Libs and Progressives that tell us that WE are the problem. Look, instead, at the largest polluter on the planet. You wanna "reform" and make changes, so we don't all have to die in 10 years like AOC states? Look at the largest polluter on the planet, and do something about that, first... The US ain't the issue. No matter how many 2-strokes we run. No matter what those 2-strokes are, either. Rip Banshees all day long - won't make a drop in the bucket compared to China. Look it up if you doubt me.
  4. I've converted to the OLight Perun Mini. Badass headlamp.
  5. Updated changes made. Tailhook Mod 2, B5 Systems P23 grip in FDE, not Coyote, and a PA red dot and mount. Ready to go for Sunday morning, to see how the trigger test goes. Don't know how long I can keep the trigger, but I'll have it for Sunday to test at least. Oh - it's over 26" long, ass to nose, so none - NONE - of this new "Brace BS" that's being legislated has any affect on this pistol, whatsoever. Read the fine print in that stupid proposal of theirs. Over 26" OAL? Doesn't pertain, not at all...
  6. The only gunsmith I'd trust to diagnose an AR would be ADCO Firearms. You'll have to call on the phone, and explain the situation - but there is no better commercial AR Gunsmith than ADCO. https://adcofirearms.com/
  7. ^^^ I'm with him. If it runs like that, then leave it, and run it.
  8. Fuqr, you always tune me out. I know how you are...
  9. ... Indeed, she does. Even when you DON'T TELL ME that I'm speaker phone, THEN I hear her in the background... I believe she's letting you remain alive, in order to meet me and slap the piss out of me...
  10. It needs to be 15.5" in length - a Real Armalite AR-10 Rifle Length gas tube... It's so easy to see in the pic you presented. PAINFULLY OBVIOUS. Research is done, now. That's the final answer... And that's one Step 1, to solve the glaring problem with your gas system. After that, address the recoil system, and after that, address the gas port diameter. Then - you'll have a fully functional gun,on what ever ammo you decide to toss in it.
  11. History will - one day - catch up with her stupid little ass. She knows not what she talks about, but it'll all come out in the history.
  12. Exactly - this is the official "proposal" that they are gonna pitch for "comments," which is mandatory. Last time they did this (last Dec?) on the bump stocks, it was shut down due to the overwhelming amount of comments that they received. Next step for them, is open the comment period...
  13. Did you notice the comment read, from my vid, where they state a receiver extension is 6 or 6 1/2" ?.... Yeah, well if the minimum internal depth of a receiver extension is 6 15/16" (Armalite) or 7.000" (everyone else) - well then WTF recoil system are THEY testing, that's either "6 or 6 1/2"?..." Short answer is: They don't know what the fuk they're putting to paper, not even in the least. AND... this will only pertain to guns that are 12" OAL to (under) 26" OAL... With a pistol receiver extension (7.000" internal depth), attached to AR15 receivers, it's 14.5" to the end of the upper receiver. SO, where's this 12" gun coming from?... Short answer, again - they don't know what the fuk they're putting on paper - zero research went into this, as far as "puking up something to get the US AG to sign..."
  14. On June 7, 2021, the Attorney General signed ATF proposed rule 2021R-08, “Factoring Criteria for Firearms with Attached ‘Stabilizing Braces,’” amending ATF’s regulations to clarify when a rifle is “intended to be fired from the shoulder.” That would be US Attorney General Merrick Garland - the same guy that OButtFuck didn't get on to the US Supreme Court before the end of his 2nd term... Here's the BATFE website announcement of this: https://www.atf.gov/rules-and-regulations/factoring-criteria-firearms-attached-stabilizing-braces Here's a vid from 7 Jun 21, about this - I'm shocked that there's not more out there right now - so spread the word FAR and WIDE about this...
  15. Don't drill the gas port up yet. Hear me out. You only change ONE THING at a time, and you test the gun - otherwise, you make a bunch of changes at once, and it's running WAY WORSE than it did before, and you have no idea what affected what. Polish your chamber, shoot the gun. Might sound crazy, but open that adjustable gas block WIDE OPEN, all the way up. If you don't, you'll never know if that gas port diameter even meets the minimum, if that block isn't wide open. Wide open, doesn't lock back? You'll find that out with a few rounds (to verify), and you know that port diameter isn't enough. Any other way other than that - and you're just guessing. I'll answer these in order... Is the gas port large enough at .080”? I think the gas port diameter, at 0.080" is too big. That's what I'm running on my .260 Rem AR, and it's perfect, and that thing has a 0.750" gas block journal size. Same barrel config for a .308 Win round, and I'm running a port diameter between 0.093"~0.096"... Usually, down in caliber, down about 0.005" on the port diameter (per caliber). UP in gas block journal diameter, down in port diameter, about 0.005". And you're running a 0.936" gas block journal on that barrel. That's down twice, from a 0.750" journal. I think you need a port diameter around 0.065"~0.070". Too late for that now, with a port diameter of 0.080" Good thing you have an adjustable gas block. Seems counter to what I stated before, doesn't it... Just change one thing at a time... Polish that chamber, shoot the gun. THEN open that gas block up wide=open, shoot the gun. 2~3 shots is all you're gonna need to see, and record the gun's reaction... Is the spring length and coil count proper for a 7” extension? Nope. Not for what you have in there right now. Should I change to a 7-3/4” 308 carbine extension? I will ALWAYS advocate the use of the Real Armalite AR-10 Carbine Recoil System parts, over anything else out there, every time. There's a reason, too - it's not made by a million aftermarket companies, that can label any generic part with a name, and say "it's THIS." It's made by one company, everytime, the same way, and it's THE proven recoil system for these guns. You can shift a little one way or the other with some of the parts, but that's for another discussion. You get a known, verified receiver extension that is truly 7 5/8" internal depth, and you use the Armalite EA1095 recoil spring in it... Buffer needs to be 3.250" long, and H3-weighted (5.4oz)... Should I try a Sprinco Orange buffer spring? You have it - it arrived today. It IS the only spring made for the .308AR platform, running AR15 carbine receiver extensions, that are 7.000" internal depth, and you are stuck with running 2.500" long shorty buffers... The ONLY spring, from it's ground-up design... Might as well throw it in there with that 2.500" long 5.6oz buffer, and see what happens. Gas block is wide open, new recoil system, shoot a few rounds and record what the gun does. After those results, we figure out what to do with your gas system, on this .243 Win AR...
  16. I wouldn't know how to act with that weather, Al - but I'd sure love to have it. That's awesome. We're gonna get out asses roasted next week. I need to shoot/test a gun on Sunday, too. Great. This is what we see in July and August - it's too early in the year for this shiit...
  17. You might have a problem - that's the projectile I load in the 45-70, man. What the hell if wrong with you?!...
  18. I waited, and didn't highlight it - and I'll never EVER mention it on speaker-phone with you ... and as you know well - I am NOT someone to put on speaker-phone... One day, brother, she's gonna find this. After that, then I need to come find out where she buried you. I'm just sayin'...
  19. But - your .458 RUNS, brother. MAN! Does it run...
  20. BOTH EXCELLENT!!!
  21. AGAIN?!!? Your pay structure here is WAY BETTER than mine, and I have to deal with the Dumbasses...
  22. Looks damn good, man - each one of those loaded mags is 2lbs, so you can cut 10lbs out of the weight of the case, add in maybe 2lbs again for the total weight of the empty mags, if you were gonna fly it. Fits well under their stupid 50lb limit these days. Good work.
  23. @Bruce, welcome aboard. Go rip up the intro section and tell us a little bit about yourself. You have issues in the recoil system and the gas system, in this configuration.
  24. That's a GO, brother... In this vid, Ian Harrison talks about the specifics, and the manufacturer states to use a heavy buffer - that's covered in this vid. I have some stuff to work out on my side, with the LAW Folder, and it's BCG insert (weighs 62 grams, or 2.187 ounces) - but I'll get it figured out... Linked 9mm, though - no issue, brother...
