  1. I AM IN!!! Damn, that looks delicious, and I LOVE some chowder! I'll find some time in the next couple crazy weekends, and do this one, for sure - Thank you, Cliff!!!
  2. No hard-set rule on Necro's - it's just funny seeing them come up!... AMAZING sometimes!... I don't think the canned chicken has an expiration date on it, though - scary... I'll check that can in the camper next time I get that thing out...
  3. Ah shiit, it's a Jingle Truck!... NICE! I love to see more people joining the Family!...
  4. Up to 19 other states now, from what I heard this afternoon, brother.
  5. If I had a spare H3, I'd ship it - meaning if I had 2 of them. I have one sitting here that's my "primary spare." If I had 2, you'd be in, because 2 is 1 and 1 is None... That's why I keep 1 handy, in the mobile range toolchest. Try the H3 with that standard Wilson spring first. Check function. For shiits and giggles, depending on how that turns out, try that flat-wire monster with the H3 after that, just to see what happens. You have a 0.094" gas port in a barrel running a cartridge that's got enough power already. Based on earlier descriptions, not picking up the second round with that standard spring - that BCG is moving too fast, and you need more buffer Ass To Control The Mass - slow that BCG down with weight...
  6. You have done well, my friend. You have purchased one BADASS barrel, and I back your decision completely.

First post after registering, hasn't been back yet. He'll show up again - and hopefully listens to the information.
  8. You need a buffer that weighs 5.4 oz - and that's an H3 buffer. That will solve your problems, if you stick with the spring that I was mentioning, when I made that comment. For real. Try me out and prove that I'm guessing this one wrong.
  9. Chrome don't get ya home. Just sayin'... I jab when I can...
  10. That idiot isn't settled yet - there's some shiit coming down the pipe on that.
  11. Might be a record here?...
  12. ...Aaaaand, he started this thread about Halloween 2011. I think I'd have shot this thing by now. I'm just sayin'... @ARTrooper necro'd a post from 28 Sep 2012, here...
  13. ^^^ Yep.
  14. His is a bolt gun - so the input you get from him will be different. There aren't feed or extraction problems, in that bolt - just punishing recoil from it...
  15. I have personal experience on all you've said - that differs. Just my $0.02 on the whole affair. I've shot the 270 WSM 6lb bolt gun, and I've shot my own 45-70. I'll take the 45-70, if I have to shoot it all day, and I HATE shooting that thing for more than two tubes of loaded ammo. I'll still take it over that 270 WSM. All day long, I'll make that decision. Done it before. You can make the "It's an AR" approach, but I'm telling you that it won't matter - much. But, again, that's just my personal experience here. Risk it - I'd love to see it, and shoot it. Build that thing.
  16. I think you'll need a real H3 buffer, at 5.4oz. Just my $0.02 on the whole affair.
  17. Shoot Mikey's 6lb bolt gun in that caliber, and it'll change your mind. It's fucking brutal, and there's never any chance of getting back on the scope, and seeing where your shot went. I'd rather shoot my 45-70 all day long, than that thing. The 45-70 is LESS punishing. If that makes any sense.
  18. Yep ^^^ that right there.
  19. This excites me...
  20. I can - it's called ".260 Remington..."
  21. Truth, right here. Nobody is changing the US Constitution anytime soon, because too many people can't agree, these days - we're too divided, as a nation. Here's what it takes to make an Amendement to the US Constitution: Article V of the United States Constitution outlines basic procedures for constitutional amendment. Congress may submit a proposed constitutional amendment to the states, if the proposed amendment language is approved by a two-thirds vote of both houses. Congress must call a convention for proposing amendments upon application of the legislatures of two-thirds of the states (i.e., 34 of 50 states). Amendments proposed by Congress or convention become valid only when ratified by the legislatures of, or conventions in, three-fourths of the states (i.e., 38 of 50 states). 1 OR 2 must happen. After 1 OR 2 happens, then 3 must happen, to amend the US Constitution. Now other way to do it. 2/3rds of BOTH houses can pitch TO the States. 2/3rds of States can pitch TO Congress. After that, 3/4ths of the States VOTE on it. Not Congress. The STATES vote to change the US Constitution. Never gonna happen, in today's times - with the political division that there is out there now. And that political division isn't going away anytime soon, either. If we keep with the current political landscape that we have, there will NEVER be another Amendment to the US Constitution. Which is good news. The 2nd Amendment isn't going anywhere. "I'm simply trying to illuminate the terrain in which we currently find ourselves deployed..." Wait for it.
  22. You guys remember Mark Robinson... He's the new Lt. Governor of North Carolina... Yeah, that happened. He was elected. His Governor is a Dem, he's the Lt Governor now. Big plus. https://www.wfae.org/politics/2020-11-11/divisive-but-direct-mark-robinson-aims-to-work-with-cooper
  23. That is fucking epic, right there...

The STAG upper is your best choice - or you're just throwing your dice and gambling that something will work. For real. Find a Stag, and be done with the pattern-difference bulshiit. Cut down on your headaches - and OURS. When you come back here with some crazy upper that's not even close - and you don't give the REAL details on the whole build... some future questions, so far away... ...and we're trying to figure out what you cobbled together to make a .308AR. Just get a Stag upper, save your own headaches. Just truth here.
  25. Go make an Intro post in that section, and tell us the details on your gun. Same section that you made your first post in, but make an actual Intro about you. Love to hear the details on the gun parts used in your build.
