    98's 6mm ARC

Yeah, it is... and I'm watching YOU, too... If you don't bring a badass 6 ARC to the Fall Shoot, then you're fuckin' FIRED...

    98's 6mm ARC

If "all others" can't tell already - this thread just isn't about a gun build. THIS RIGHT HERE has magically morphed into a Giant Pile of SHIIT TALKING... So, let's not disappoint, alright?... Bring it, when you wanna bring it...

    98's 6mm ARC

If they don't understand the Meals, then I'll break it down for them... I can't wait to see what they teach for wind reading, and that "OH SHIIIIT!!!" moment when the winds go above 12 mph, and your mirage disappears... When that happens, ya gotta do SOMETHING, right?... That LaRue upper set will be moving here by tomorrow or the next day. With the mount and the Athlon Ares BTR 2.5~15 scope.

You willing to travel to Utah in early August, brother?... Just a weekend... Set you back about $400, course fee... Working on the logistics right now...

    98's 6mm ARC

I just found a pile of money that I didn't know that I really had... SO... this 6 ARC is gonna progress faster than I thought. I think I'll sign up for a Long-Distance Shooting School, too - just to see what they're doing. More details on that later. Class date, early August. @Matt.Cross might have a serious ass-whippin' coming, by the time we get to the Fall Shoot...

Yeah, Matt - thanks for that link! You know, the information wasn't that important, but that link is MINT, brother!... Hey, @DayWalker...

That's a regular old A2 stock, and I put a Noveske Flush Cup in it. Hat Tip to @blue109 on that wonderful piece of kit. I put one on my Mk11, too.
  8. I'm with ya on that one... If @Radioactive woulda shown me more of that horse, I might like it better, but it's hard to complete with Dat Ass in the pic... There just wasn't enough horse...

Good Call, brother - you're gonna end up real close to this when you're done... If you layed my Mod 1 5.56 gun down, and put Matt's Mod 1 Grendel next to it, and walked away... you'd get confused as to which one is which, when you walked back to them...

LaRue 12" rail, brother. Hands down. There were actually some of the SF guy that used LaRue uppers over there. They'd buy them on their own, slap them on their M4A1 lowers, and run with scissors. The LaRue was definitely - in some circles - better than that KAC rail that was on the original Mod 1s. Can't tell a Clone Builder that, or a Purist, though -you know, those same guys that insist that you MUST use a Swan Sleeve, yada yada yada... IMHO, if you want it - the only thing better-for-the-money that you can put in this for a trigger - Again, LaRue kick, that MBT-2S is badass for rifles like this, and you just cannot beat that price. The only other trigger that's gonna smoke it - and you'll pay - is a Geissele Hi-Speed National Match. That went into my Mod 0, and it went into my 18" Grendel SPR. And, it went into @Matt.Cross' Grendel Mod 1. SAH-WEET TRIGGER!!! I'd save that G Hi-Speed NM for your Mod 0, down the road. Just run the MBT-2S in this one. It won't let you down. Wait 'til this Fall, and shoot my G triggers more... This whole thing has me somewhat excited. It'll end up looking like this, after I paint the shiit out of it: Mark LaRue makes some damn nice, hard-as-woodpecker-lips equipment - but it's sexy AF, too... Barrel update - it's back to Thursday, again... Time to start picking up some of that Hornady Match ammo and Black ammo...
  11. You bite your tongue - that's a 19X, Mister...
  12. Just slap an M-LOK rail section on the bottom of that thing, and mount up an AccuShot Monopod. https://www.accu-shot.com/Accu-Shot-Monopod-Mounting-Options.php You could even mount up the MagPul M-Lok Sling Stud, and use that AccuShot sling-stud-mounted mono...
  13. Indeed, if could be too low, and we have a HELL of a thread here on that very issue. I'm pretty sure it's in the 80% Section. I thought about a low mag catch (the machining of it) very first, based on your info, but I wanted to know about that mag catch's internal parts first. I'm sure someone here can find that thread on the mag catch heights. It's a whole lot of details. Before that would be a solution - you need tocheck how much further into the upper receiver that your magazine will go. You'll need to clay the upper, just like you'd do if you were checking an engine for piston-to-valve clearance.
  14. ^^^ That batch right there looks exactly like my last ex-wife, from behind. Great ass on that girl - whacked out mind, though.

    98's 6mm ARC

My barrel made it to Phoenix today, at 11:26pm. I don't understand how it's gonna take until Friday tomove it another 45-ish miles south, to me. Is what it is. If it comes in early, I'll be happy. At this point in the build, it's the most important part, but it's still just a fancy club, or long tent stake, until I can get the rest of the stuff moving. The LaRue lower receiver still hasn't shipped yet, but I knew that going into it. You order one, you might get lucky right when then just finished a fresh batch, and filled backorders - or, you might be ordering into one of those backorder lists... It'll get here, when it gets here. I'm thinking Athlon Ares BTR 2.5~15 scope on this one. We'll see.
  16. I see... you need worked on some more, I can tell...
  17. Damn, I saw you reply in this thread, so I jumped in here to read about all the news 6 ARC parts that you've got on order...
  18. These two pics right here, and the height difference. It's not the bolt catch, itself, obviously. What's stopping your bolt catch travel, when you have that plunger and spring in there? Is it the length of the plunger? Depth of the hole? Coil bind on the spring? Measure the depth of the hole, first. Then collapse that spring ON the plunger, to coil bind, and measure the OAL of both (with spring in coil bind). That should tell you what's going on. Either the hole gets deeper, or a couple coils come off the spring, or the tail on the plunger gets shortened. That one issue, right there, because in the previous pics, that bolt catch isn't sticking up enough to reliably get that bolt face every time. Excellent work with the pics and details.
  19. Hell with that horse - you see the ASS on that lady?!!?...
  20. Well, that looks like a CNC Guns billet .45 AR lower, right there. Very well done, brother.
  21. That's my goal for him - get him known enough, worldwide, as the Brass Pimp. Get him into a "retired" living, just to pimp brass. The only problem with that is... I should just send him the damn money upfront, with the amount of calibers that I need/want/get from him... I'm about to ask him just to move out here with me, and be done with it - but I realize that takes him away from whatever magic brass-source that he has there... It's a WICKED Catch 22 for me... Inception-deep... it's THAT deep...
  22. 1860's, or 1960's... which books were re-written, brother?
  23. Shoot that fucker in the barrel, brother! Lance has the barrel! Blast it!
  24. It's not even anywhere close to being on any store shelves down here, just north of Mexico. Made it's brief "Limited Edition" appearance last Fall, just to get us all hooked, then... POOF!@!! Gone. Fucker DISAPPEARED!....
  25. You can trust me with your life, and your guns. You probably shouldn't trust me with your wallet, or your booze collection. Those will both disappear QUICK, and you'll have all KINDS of new gun parts coming in...
