  1. I pulled 2 boxes of those Hornady 178 ELD-Xs from Cal Ranch in CG, on a lunch break. Would'a snatched more if they had more. I need to develope this load on it's own, and not just copy my load data for the 178 HPBTs... This is crazy G1 and G7 drag numbers for these things... I'm up in the air on RL-15 or Accurate 2495 for these - I think I'll build both and see what shakes out.
  2. HELL YES, BROTHER!!!
  3. And I though Larry was a big motherfucker... which he is, have no doubt... Larry is not normal. He's WAY BIGGER than normal... Al isn't even on the same plane. He has to be part kryptonite. Or part dinosaur. Something really, really fucking BIG... I feel like less of a man for posting this... about these huge fuckers...
  4. He's just not anywhere close to "normal-sized" like most of us. He's literally, a FUCKING GIANT. He'll back-talk that, and try to downplay it, in a way, try to mitigate his own fucking giant size... But we're not buying it. The pictures he's posted over the years make sense now. He's BIGGER than normal. Like, WAY BIGGER. FNX-45 in his hand looked like a Walther 22 in mine. We just need to get down on all this, and call it what it is... @Sisco is pretty much Shrek. It's that simple.
  5. Sunday after Christmas, we're shooting, brother... I hope you can make it down here. Plot that on your calendar, and let's shoot...
  6. Just remember this, and you said it. We can't be held accountable, blamed, or blasphemeyed for what you do, from this point forward...
  7. Don't ever sell that TJ, brother, no matter how tempted you are. Keep that thing forever. The new stuff is junk, but you have a good one, worth keeping. Sorry, I went Jeep Phreak on this post... Keep that TJ...
  8. As a childhood dirtbike punk, I need to know what foot this is... that makes a difference. It's either "my shifting foot" or "my brake foot..." One is way more important than the other. I can stab a stump at my brake pedal, but I need to be able to move my shift foot up and down - to up and down shift. What leg took the damage on this kid, left or right? I pray for him anyway, so it doesn't matter which got hit - but it matters to me, to know what he's going through. I've done it to myself, over time, so I know.
  9. Really look at this pic brother. Seriously. Look at the size of the hams that are your forearms. Look at the torso. We've already seen you ECLIPSE an FNX-45 in your paw, and it looks like a micro gun on normal-man hands... You're a Goliath. You're not normal, brother. You can say what you want, but just the shadow from your backside could eclispe a small crowd... Take no offense to that - when it comes down to it, I just want to paint you in violent colors, point you towards the enemy, and just unleash you...
  10. Weighed this pig out tonight. As it sits, sling, bipod, loaded 20rd P-Mag - as it sits in this pic, ready to go, is 14.85lbs. That's a healthy girl, right there. That's with a Tubb CWS, tungsten insert... That by itself, is a 1/4lb added directly to the carrier weight (or buffer weight, if you wanted to look at it that way). 20rd P-Mag, loaded, weighs 2lbs with 178s in it. This thing is THICK, but I like it...
  11. Valid point, too... When someone wins a military contract, and they sell the same parts to the civilian market - they have to price that part to the .civ at the same rate that they charge the .gov. That's why the M110 is anywhere between $15k (rifle)~$25k (full deployment package). Here's another example: DD Rails - the RIS II Rail is $440 on the website. That's what .gov pays, per contract... https://danieldefense.com/rails/ris-ii-rail.html
  12. Matrix Aerospace makes the uppers and lowers for DB. For more info on that specific platform, we have a Matrix section here: https://forum.308ar.com/forum/126-matrix-aerospace/ The DPMS receivers, by today's current offerings, are a little wider. That DB set/Matrix parts, are a little narrower - if that makes a difference...
  13. If it was a pic of a chopped off arm, or guts hanging out, I'd just tell him how to fix it with superglue. That bastard knows I hate chopped up fingers or toes...
  14. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH GAWD DAYMMIT, ROMAN!!! YOU FUCKER!!!
  15. THAT is the way to put some distance between yourself and the crowd...
  16. I've seen M4 feedramps before, that go all the way to the bottom edge of the receiver, brother. If that was my dream gun, I'd make it work and wouldn't think twice about it...
  17. Don't be cautious - Let it Rip. Just be yourself...
  18. Me, too, lately. Well, for months. I'm in for that date, Sunday after X-Mas is on.
  19. @blue109 that IS BADASS, brother! I just printed off the SDTF - Secret Desert Test Facility.
  20. Those feedramps are easily fixable with a Dremel chainsaw sharpening bit, and a steady hand, and about 15 minutes of time. Little bit of Flitz in a rod wrapped in cleaning patches afterwards, and you'd never be able to tell it wasn't like that from the factory. This is much less serious than it sounded in the first post.
  21. Dollar for dollar, it would be a waste for me to buy other, more expensive match ammo - and barely have anything to show for it that I could measure in results. It shoots great through the Big ARs, with the 1:10" twist barrels. I haven't bought ammo for a long time, but when I did, I grabbed as much of this stuff as I could.
  22. Cycling live rounds into the chamber, only to be hand-ejected, is always gonna scratch them - the ejector is pushing them right, into the barrel extension lugs, upon extraction. What distance you shoot to is when it might show an accuracy issue. The longer you take it, the more it might affect it. No way to know without pics of what you're talking about here. Nocturnal Ham, eh? Like "night pig?" I like it... Go hit the Intro Section and stick around for awhile...
  23. If you're running rail-mounted front and rear sights, but still want distance-adjustments, the MagPul Pro LR rear with the Pro front is a hell of a combination. Just another option. MAG275 is the part # for the front: https://www.magpul.com/products/mbus-pro-sight-front?ProductColor=VO343 MAG527 is the part # for the LR rear: https://www.magpul.com/products/mbus-pro-lr-adjustable-sight-rear?ProductColor=VO343
  24. My Valk dies and projos just shipped today. Next weekend will be better for me, too, brother.
  25. Sounds like DTT is Delta Team Tactical... made from 100% blem parts from other companies, is what they do. What's the "blem," though? Is it cosmetic, and doesn't affect function, or is the blem a functional issue? You never know.
