Wilson Combat carries that caliber, and it's in stock - no wait for a custom barrel. Depends on what length/use you're looking for, though. Here's what they have: https://shopwilsoncombat.com/7mm-08-Remington/products/979/

I think it needs it. Some Desert Tiger Stripe would do it proper - Cerakote FDE and Patriot Brown. @392heminut has some pics of one I did for him, that'll turn up. It's a pretty sweet combo... Up in the air on it, since it's a .308 Win round - I already know it's max terminal potential. I've been lucky with PA 4-14 .308 ACSS HUD DMR scope several times on different guns, and it works GREAT. That would be very good on this one, and work with it very well. Then, I'm wondering about upping the magnification, or just going to a straight illuminated mil scope. Athlon Optics has a great 6-24 illum mil scope that I put on the .260 Rem - then another 4-14 illum mil scope from them, too. Decisions. I've got a decent Christmas bonus coming up from work, so it waits until then - unless I steal a scope from something else just to shoot this thing... That .260 Rem with the 6-24 is already in a LaRue LT-158 mount... it might get "borrowed..."

My rant definitely wasn't directed at you @josiahg52 - that was my vent on the one-time wonders and the free-shiit people, and then those that only bitch (about anything) in order to get a cheaper price on (whatever it was)... That wasn't directed against you in any way, man.

Been wanting to build up a Mk11 Mod 0 for a long, long time, but I was after a specific rail that I wanted to use. The Daniel Defense AR10 Lite Rail 12.0. I finally got lucky enough to get one, and much thanks to @swroberts22 for the opportunity at this rail. Picked up the Aero M5 upper and lower from GunPusher John, and set about getting this thing together. I searched for a long time online, trying to find a Mk11 with a collapsible stock on it, but couldn't find anything like that. I made the decision to raid a pretty sweet A1 stock from a rifle - The bulk of the parts were "re-purposed" from the very first LR-308 that I ever built, in 2010. I had a Rainer Arms Select barrel ready to go for it, that's been in the gun locker for about 4 years. 18" midlength gas 1:11.25" twist. After talking with @Matt.Cross, he made me realize that if I was taking the stock from my first build, then I might as well take that sweet 1:10" twist Fulton Armory Krieger Criterion 18.5" rifle gas match barrel from it, too. He was correct. So, I swiped the A1 stock and rifle recoil system, with the Sierra Precision SPR-1 adjustable buttplate from that gun, I took the barrel, the Tac-Ops 1 charging handle, and the BAD-ASS ambi safety. I also swiped the KAC rail panels from it. For right now, I even took the DPMS cromed BCG, but that'll get replaced with a ToolCraft nitrided BCG, down the road. I hadn't had that original .308 out for years, and just wanted something different - and I got it. This one will get out WAY more often. I still need to figure out the optics, but whatever the scope is, it will be in a LaRue LT-158 mount. Here's where it's at right now:

Yeah, I have a lot of experience shooting in low light, with that very scope, and it's way better than that Vortex Crossfire that you're looking at. That's exactly why I suggested it in the first place.

There's a barrel lapping tool for the M5E1. Ive only seen it from one company, though.

Big issue - running that dirt over your die. Tumble, clean, first. You START the reloading process with clean brass. Did I not state that before, Ray?...
-
Can you just post a picture here, of those SIX "spare barrels?..." I don't even believe you for a second. I'd just like a pic of the shiit you talk... Post those six spare barrels... Should be easy to do for you - since they're spares, and just piled up...
-
You run that grit-and-shiit after firing through your neck resizer. That only erodes it. Any range-pickups - in dirt - you run that dirt through your die. Tumble it before you do anything with it. Or, buy more dies later down the road, or, have problems with your reloads down the road - that nobody can figure out. You start the reloading process with clean brass...
-
I did run the pile through the tumbler already, though - they're ready to resize/deprime. There's about 110 of them...
-
I still have a pile of .270 brass to send you.... I didn't forget. I'm just slammed at work, and at home...
-
Alright, without any real answers to what I asked you, here's what I'm gonna advise you on anyway. .308 Winchester round through an AR. Primary Arms 4-14x44 ACSS HUD DMR .308 scope, in a LaRue LT-158 mount. If you want my reasons for telling you that, answer what I asked you before.

Because it's shorter, lighter, and that 3rd port really doesn't get you "any more" over that 2-port. Plus, you cannot add the CAGE device to a 3-port,and have it be effective. I explained that, already, above. Stay AWAY, from that RRA 2-Stage trigger. Research the internet on that one. "Saving $5 bucks" isn't worth it - that trigger loses it's second stage and goes soft over time. There's 15 years of internet history that supports what i just told you. Save a buck if you want, but you'll fuk yourself in the future. Just get the LaRue trigger.

That's the die set that I have - I just run the .223/5.56 brass straight through that RCBS resizer/deprimer die - and I have a necked up 25/45 case. Go SLOW in the first resizing - you don't JAM that handle. Move slow, neck it up, and it's a smooth process - you don't need that "neck up" die that they include - eliminate that step, and die. If you go too fast, and RAM that handle- you'll split necks.

That's why I gave up my Admin status - people attack you for it. The feel-gooders and the weiners always try to bitch higher, once they get their feelings hurt. "I've never seen a place where an Admin will disrespect people like that - you need to DO SOMETHING about that Admin!!!..." ^^^ Those are the crying, whining, bitching people - that love leaving bad reviews in their Yelp Profile. They bitch about everything, everywhere, just to get a cheaper price or "free next time." I have no time for those whiners, and nobody should. Shut 'em down, right when they think "they're on to something." Fuk 'em. Right in the neck. Weiners and whiners need to harden the fuk up. Life isn't easy, and life isn't free - no matter how much "free shiit" they already get, from their whining and bitching. Here's what they need, as soon as they do it... Cut 'em off, right away, and rid yourself from their bullshiit. Get back to America, where people work for a living, and appreciate what they have.

That track was 20 yards wide at the apex, and I cleared it, flying my ass through the air... I never hit asphalt - I went dirt-to-dirt, like a lawn dart... But the Go Pro lived!...

We got rid of a guy here that was only here to sell shiit, and that's all he ever did - once he lost it and turned into a dickhead over a sale. He was here for years, too. Many. I bought something from him, and it was a great transaction... But, he went full a$shole on a sale, and he was only here to sell things. Turns out, he was some kind of "gun parts seller" from Cali, when his history was dug into, deeply. We've also had a guy here (US Marine) that was only here to sell things, surplus .mil items, and he was totally cool, all the time. Never varied. He has Integrity. Completely honest in every one of his sales, and always had great product, good prices. I miss that guy... It comes down to who YOU are, when you're here. If you're a dick, you'll get treated equally the same. If you're awesome - then you'll be loved here. Just don't be a dick when you show up. It never ends well.
-
Well, that escalated quickly. He apparently didn't want to make an introduction, tell us anything about himself, become part of the forum, and stick around. He didn't really need to "contribute" anything to help people out - just become part of the group here. That must have been below him, to do that. It's sad...

It was $615 in 2009, so that's not too bad, brother. I've seen them, through time, as high as $850 MSRP. Once the demand got up there, Mossberg "adjusted market value" on those bitches... Must be coming back down... It's an amazing shotgun...

Here's what DI guns can do - Filthy 14. http://www.slip2000.com/blog/s-w-a-t-magazine-filthy-14/

Handles .308 Win just fine - the Go Pro will handle an airplane crash - recoil isn't gonna kill it. Just find a good mount for it : I can show you a vid of a pretty wicked SuperMoto wreck that I had - the Go Pro lived, and gave me the video...

What caliber are you shooting, and what's that Vortex Crossfire gonna cost you? I have better recommendations, based on your caliber...

Oh, Good Lord...
