Killing him was never intended to solve the drug trade, or anything like that. Killing him was done, to keep him from killing a BUNCH of other people, which he'd already done. He bombed a commercial airliner and brought it out of the sky, killed politicians and govt officials, built and ran his own "prison" so he could "surrender" - and he later escaped from his own prison... And he was killed. While he was in his own prison, he consolidated different "Drug Families" and made an even larger Cartel. Whilst in that prison, he called meeting, and had other cartel bosses killed - two by his own hand - while he was "in prison." Had the bodies incinerated, right there at the prison, so there was no proof that they'd even been there. Back in the day. He needed to go. Don't confuse his take-down as a veil or misunderstanding for some kind of an end to the drug trade or drug war - that was never the reason for him being removed...

I think - no offense - the handload, is the thing at the bottom of this gun's poor performance. You need to figure out your load - and you can't compare it to any load that you like for your M1A. This isn't the M1A...

Nope, not gonna try it, it's too light of a powder charge for the 168 SMK out of a 1:10" twist barrel. Which is my point. You need to develop a load for that gun, before you write that barrel off as junk, then waste money on another barrel and shoot that same load - and call that barrel junk, too. That load is just too light for a 168gr SMK going through that 1:10" twist rate barrel. You need to beef that load up - and figure out what that barrel really likes. RamShot's own load data has a listed range of 39.1 to 43.7 grains of TAC, for the 168 SMK projectile. You're less than halfway there, running 41.0 grains, and that barrel obviously doesn't like that load...

He needed to go, and we did a great job on that one. He was out of control, literally. The book by Mark Bowden named "Killing Pablo" is an excellent read on the whole affair.

Have you always had this load, and it does good from other .308 Win guns? 168 SMK and 41.0gr of RamShot TAC?

That's the absurdity of it, right there. There are idiots out there that try to sue firearms manufacturers because that brand of gun was used by a Looney-Tune Idiot to kill a bunch of innocent people in a Gun Free Zone... I ate that all in one night, and I was one bad motherfucker. Those that were there will testify - I bodyslammed a telephone pole out of the back of my truck... I poop you not. After I slammed it, I attacked it with a chainsaw. Then the bitch went into the firepit, after I went nuts with the axe and split the cut sections... I was on fire that night... I was ten feet tall, two coats of hair, three rows of teeth, and bullet-proof. That combo turned me into the animal in me that shouldn't be awakened. I went apeshit that night. This really went down. It really happened. It was the combo of the liquor that warped my mind, and made me lose my shiit... I went berserk. This was all on the Saturday night of the Fall Shoot, and I went Full GREG that night. I didn't hold back anything. Gravity is what forced me to bed that night. I was EPIC when I was standing under my own power, though.

Aaaaahhhh, you already know the answer to that one, brother. Casa De Pain has room for storage. You get 'em here legally, and you've got a place to keep them.

You have to put a MAPP gas torch to your barrel extension, and heat the hell out of it, to get a barrel index pin out, and you need one evil set of pliers to do it, after it's hot enough. You're never gonna get your chamber that hot, by firing the gun, and have that pin "expand and contract." It won't happen.

Install which ever gas tube that ends at the center of the cam pin cutout in the upper receiver. I'm hoping this "hybrid gas port location" shiit fades away. It's a very stupid idea, on the part of manufacturers. It's fucking ignorant. Your recoil system doesn't have anything to do with what your gas system is. I.E., you don't have to run a Rifle Recoil System if you have a Rifle Length Gas System. Your gas system AND your recoil system have to be balanced, and work together. Your recoil system has to control the weight of your BCG, and the force of the recoil of your round. Your gas ssytem has to deliver enough force/power to cycle the action. Hope that makes sense.

All this talk reminds me of Bob Munden. Everybody thinks Jerry Miculek is the fastest gun around, but Bob Munden was the king. RIP, Bob.

This is a new gun. I'm sure those mags are new, too. They need broken in just like the gun does. Load all your mags to the top, FULL, and let them sit for a few days. Cycling live ammo into the gun, and manually extracting it - that's what's leaving the brass flecks. Bet your brass is marked up, too, with lines in it. That's the ejector, pushing the brass to the side, and the brass getting eaten up by the inside edges of the barrel extension. That'll happen alot less during live fire, and then happen even less once the gun is broken in.

I like it - we need more .260 Rem guns here. You could run that to 1000 yards, easy, not even break a sweat.
