  1. Got back out with the Accurate 2495 loads this morning, and some Barnes 6.5mm 120 TSX projectiles. I'll keep the 37.4 grains as a charge for these 120TSXs. At least I have a good hunting load out of the deal. Should be 2656fps on this load. Not pissing around this morning - got out the lead sled for this...
  2. There might end up being a slight wager thrown down during this shoot. It's happened in the past, but I think that the last time any of us put money on the table was 2012. Bring some spending money - I might be a little man, but that doesn't mean I might not pull something big out of my pocket!...
  3. Here's where we were on Sept 4th: Current headcount and arrival - copy that, and add your own information in a quote, so others know what's up.
  4. Don't back out now... You NEED to drag your ass to the dunes, and you know it. No other reason to own what you own. Ride 'em!
  5. Fuckin' NICE, brother!!! Makes me feel like I was back at Fort Ord, man!
  6. Shooter's Notes Velocity calculator is awesome, man. It was pretty much dead-nuts on between the 18" Grendel and the 12.5" Grendel. I used the 18" data to then come up with the 16" info, and it was really, really close. It's a great calculator.
  7. That's some good stuff, right there, man. Sierra GameKings are great projectiles.
  8. Standard long on the strong side, standard short on the other. This one: Price went up at DSG - margins must have been cut. It's $47.25 with discount.
  9. Craddock Precision makes some badass barrels - you gotta start a thread and get pics of that one up. Those guys make perfect barrels...
  10. When I don't have a good velocity to work from, to plug into that calculator, I use Shooter'sNotes to come up with a velocity - from another known velocity. http://shootersnotes.com/calculator/velocity-estimator/
  11. Plug their speed into this, and it'll spit out the drop for you: http://www.jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmtraj_simp-5.1.cgi
  12. This did it for me, right here - didn't have a FUCKING THING to do with the thread, but Ray had to take it there. EVERYTHING is fucking "bracket racing"... Now... Funny, Ray, you build Drag Bikes - that don't have SHIIT to do with bracket racing - but that's now your fallback... WTF, man.. Are YOU a drag bike builder, or are you a bracket racer?... You're not BOTH.
  13. fornicate that, brother - he tangled himself up in this one, all on his own. You have zero fault in this one. I'll take FULL CREDIT for dragging it off course, because Ray talked Shiit... in the first place... Ray brought this here, not you... Love ya, Ray, but you get to take lumps, too. Don't talk shiit, everywhere that you can talk shiit...
  14. Aaron Lewis.
  15. It's okay, though... He talked SHIIT, then he fell asleep... There's a real beauty in this... He wakes up in the morning, and he gets to read about the ass-beatin' he got all night long... "Let's Drag Race!!!"...
  16. 5 hours ago, he went full-on fucking PUMPKIN. Gone... Lightweight...
  17. Fuk, I'll throw the 12-tooth front on the 30-year old 2-stroke Honda and whip his EFI 450 up the hill. When I do that, I can't launch in 1st, gotta launch in 2nd. I'm on the pipe in 4th before the whoops at the bottom of the hill, grabbing 5th and wheelies the rest of the way up. Nuts-on-gas-cap to keep it from looping over. I gotta let up before the top, or die flying out of the top of the hill... THAT is a Drag Race, right there, I don't care who you are... Ray... The old ass Honda is a 1986, so it's gonna be 32 years old this year, in the dunes...
  18. This whole thread even exists because Ray talked Drag Bike shiit again... I'll be your daddy, Ray - drag your ass out to the sand, and I'll show you... I'll wipe you up afterwards, if that's what's necessary...
  19. That whole long-ass drag quad was under 300 lbs, making over 175hp on the nitrous. We never did get a good dyno reading on it. 175 was where the dyno couldn't keep up anymore, based on how fast it made HP on NOS... With the bottle off and closed, it was something like 136, motor only. The nitrous was triggered on the throttle position. If you were 95% on the throttle, you didn't spray. If you WHACKED IT, and went WOT on the gas, you were FULL ON NITROUS, ... In additions to the turbo(S) - yes, BOTH turbos... Whack it open, spray, and pray that you can hang on...
  20. We'll drunk-dial you on this one, and "bring you right into camp," brother... Brace yourself...
  21. Let's make it REALLY INTERTAINING, and you get your ass out in the sand. I've built things like this for sand, Ray, and you know it - and you're skeereed...
  22. I think that was 4am, too...
  23. You and me were the only fuckers UP last year, when the gray foxes invaded camp. They were EVERYWHERE. Those nimble little furry bastards were FAST, too!!! We couldn't chase them down fast enough!...
  24. The heaviest thing about that fat beast was the engine - when we walked it out of the race trailer for the first time - I grabbed the rear axle, and the rider/racer picked it up by the front A-Arms - and we walked it out of the trailer - people were shiitting when we walked out with it and just set it down... There were a whole lot of WTF?!!? happening...
  25. Alot of pain. Terrifying to try to ride... There was a bigger one, though, that whipped this one's ASS. Soundly. Everytime.
