Ohio lakes and reservoirs as a kid. I run my paper route in the morning, and head to the reservoir, all summer long, no school. I'd crush crappie and blue gill, as much as I could carry on my bike back home, on gill stringers hanging from the handlebars, each side... I'd make my own breakfast of those fish - and eggs - sauteed fish in butter on a skillet, with mushrooms, of course. I wish I was still a kid...

I've been watching that CLOSELY, waiting for that shoe to drop. It hasn't yet. I waswatching it when it was just "someone in the NM Desert had kids that were starving..." I kept watching it when they said "Man in NM Desert was a moose-limb..." 2 days ago, Fox News dropped that he was training kids for a "school shooting," and there's been zero real information about that. Zero. Hell yeah, the headline says it, that one guy they interviewed said it... Where's the meat on this?! I'm not saying it's not happening... I'm saying that the news on this "discovery" isn't going anywhere. If it'sreally happening, and THAT is what was going down, where the fuk is the rest of the media on this, and why is it that FOx can't break out the fucking details?! Get TO it already, Fox, and get that shiit OUT THERE!!! This is one aggravating news article, and I see it being buried. We need to know WTF is going on with this... This started over a missing kid, that was 3 years old, and was expected to die - and was taken. This shiit needs blown wide open. WIDE OPEN.

Just quote me, like I just quoted myself, and add your info, and it'll all work out into a pretty good list of info... YOU HAVE TO QUOTE THAT ABOVE POST (NOT THIS ONE), OR YOU'LL FUK IT UP...

Can we get a head-count going for this one? Just trying to figure peoplenumbers here... Also, indicate what day you'll arrive - I need to plan ribeyes for Wednesday night, and "grill-management..." Who is DEFINITELY IN on this Fall Shoot? Just quote a piece of this (edit out the top information, and leave this information below...) Dates for THE SHOOT are Thursday through Sunday, 18~21 October 2018. Most people are arriving on Wednesday, 17 October 2018, and leaving Monday, 22 October 2018. 1. ME - I live here. I'm here all the time. 2. Matt Cross. 17 Oct arrival. 3 & 4. Ron R-Squared and daughter. 17 Oct arrival. 5. ROB. He decided to make his flight in for the 18th, so he'll arrive sometime while we're out there already shooting. I don't know what I'n gonna do with him, but I don't need to count him into the Wednesday night grill-cooking, due to his time management skills... 6. Greg/GREG. Arrives 17 Oct. I don't know which one will show up at the airport, but I know which one I'll find around the grill that night... 7. mrraley - will arrive 17 Oct. Will fly out 22 Oct.

That gripe would come from people that don't know what they're doing, brother... I'm pretty sure it has a standard A2 front sight post in there, with 4 rotation positions (if it's 5 rotation positions, it's an A1 front sight post). It's 0.070" wide, A2. The beauty of the A2 front sight post is ranging - standard man is 18" wide at the shoulders. If you sight in on a standard man that's 18" wide at the shoulders, and he fills that same width as the front sight post... he's 300 yards meters away. Little bigger than the front sight post - he's closer. Don't change your point of aim. Little narrower - he's a little farther away. Aim higher.

^^^ Same here, brother... -
Right on!

^^^ That's a badass gun, brother. I've only got one CAS-V, and it's on the 9mm, with a YHM folder stuck in the front. What an awesome rail.

Happy for you, brother! Run that beast!

I like watching how this all went down...

Yep, the 20" Wilson Combat Tactical Hunter barrel. They just didn't have the weight listed on this page, so I had to find something similar from them that did have a weight listed... https://shopwilsoncombat.com/Match-Grade-Barrel-260-Remington-Tactical-Hunter-20-1-8-Twist-Stainless-Fluted/productinfo/TR-260THRG20FT8/ Tough call, between that one and the LaRue 22" barrel. The one other Wilson Combat barrel I have is the .338 Federal barrel, and it is completely badass. I'm comfortable with the decision...

I think I found ARTrooper's first post. It has to be, the way shepp was in his as$ about an intro... So, anyway, with AR-10 Carbine gas tubes out of stock everywhere, I raided one from the .338 Fed to get Gopher's gun running right. Since that gun is down, I snatched the DWilson BCG from it, and put it in this gun, just to get some basic weights. As it sits right now, it can be fired. It can't be aimed, with no sights, but it could fire some .308 Winchester through it and function fine. It's sitting at 2715 grams for the complete upper assembly, and 1362 grams for the complete lower, with an empty PMag LR-20 in it. I used grams to freak the Cali Cop out... That's a functional rifle weight of 8.988 lbs. I know the scope will be 29.6 oz (1.85 lbs), and the LaRue mount will add a little. I'll put a Vortex bubble level on it; couple oz? The .260 Rem barrel will probably be a little heavier than a .308 Win barrel (smaller bore, more metal). It'll be a pig. Tell you what, though - that AB Arms USS is keeping some serious weight off this thing. Rob is right on the money, on that stock. EDIT - Barrel-wise, it looks like the barrel weight will be a wash. Rainier doesn't make the "Select" barrel anymore, but the weight on their 18" Match barrel has the exact same profile, and it's listed at 2lb, 10oz (42oz). Wilson Combat doesn't list a weight for their .260 Rem 20" fluted barrel, but they list the weight for the 6.5 Creedmoor barrel in the same configuration - it's gonna be real close to that, and it's 42.4oz. Sweet...

Exactly what I thought - would be a good trigger on a larger pistol, and smaller-pistol triggers usually suck. This one is nice.
-
Gas port should be somewhere around 0.081" on the low side, 0.086" on the high side... That will work.
-
I think these were delayed so long - to fix them. Had one in my hands last week. With the 12-rd mag, it's a full-grip mini-pistol. Trigger is surprising - it doesn't suck.

Barrel Gas Port Size,308/338/260/243 etc.

Rainier Arms Select .308 barrel, stainless, 18", true AR15 midlength gas system. Gas port diameter 0.081". -
Thank you, mley, thank you.

^^^ Straight ruthless, right there...

I remember that speech, sometime this spring. That guy has his stuff straight. Army SF guy with a couple tours in Iraq - I'm glad he's stepping up to make a political difference in that swamp of thieves.

I just went back through the thread here, brother, and I can't find your barrel length. I can't imagine it's a 20", with that gas system. Gotta be an 18"or 16"?... Need that barrel length info first, because gas port location and barrel length are the two biggest factors in gas port size...

Some rich dickhead in Phx that didn't even need to have that gun in the first place, ... Fuckbag lost his Kimber, and probably only bought it for a status symbol in the first place, then he doesn't have enough of his own nuts to report that he lost his pistol in a river tubing trip... Love his UTG bag... Keep it? And not say anything? Risky. You have it on you, years later, and it's found to be used in the Maryvale murders... Really risky. That's jail. To get it back, possibly, from the police, after some fuktard dropped it in the river when he was drunk as fuk on a tubing trip- and he never reported it? Priceless...

I'll get a picture of those bastards in the light, in the morning. I don't know if I have a box big enough for them! PM me your shipping addy - I have two for you, I think. I don't know... EDIT - Oh, I have 5 or 6 new ones I can cut, too...
-
It'll work better once I up the weight and get the length at what you need. I've got the numbers, now. This isn't gonna be difficult.
