You guys are crazy. BBQ technology gone this nuts? How you gonna cook in the woods, over a fire?

Getting ready for my Food Coma, brothers... Pork tenderloins... Salt for 45-ish/side, LaRue Dillo Dust... French cut green beans, drained, 1/2 stick butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder. Simmer, then sear. Cheddar broccoli noodles. Chow time, then nap time.

Hay-Soos. This is getting more complicated than launching the Space Shuttle. I'm just getting ready for some more of those pork tenderloins on the grill, old-guy style.
  5. It's that time of year, for the National Matches at Camp Perry, OH. Fulton Armory has been involved in this for so long... This is their National Match Sale: http://www.fulton-armory.com/
  6. Don't forget - Battle Arms Development made their start with M14 tools. Copy and paste this directly into your web browser: www.m14tools.com
  7. Ah, you didn't say that; I didn't mean to imply that. The entire operating system (gas system, recoil system, BCG weight, etc.) was designed with the buffer weight of 5.4oz because it worked. Somewhere along the way, buffers got lighter and springs changed, and not necessarily for the better. Do they work? Yeah, they'll function. Are they ideal? Usually not. I think that the primary changes were made based on budget - looking at the DPMS LR beginning. Would you buy the parts from Armalite, or make your own, and make them different so you don't get your pans sued off? "Sure, grab that AR15 receiver extension and let's make that thing work..." The specialty springs are the icing on the cake (Tubb flat wire, Sprinco Orange, Wolff XP Springs, and I'm sure more). Then again, even using one of those is "fixing the system" when it wasn't ideal, no? I wish he came around more - he's a goldmine of information. And a good guy.
  8. What was the design of the rifle? 5.4oz rifle buffer. How did they shrink that 5.200" rifle buffer down to a 3.250" buffer, and still get it at the same weight? Tungsten. Don't argue with me - tell Eugene Stoner he's the one that's wrong... I didn't invent it, here. I just make sure people can run it, and run it well. Eugene Stoner = John Browning = God. They are all equal in my eyes. Refuse it if you want.
  9. Restored to OEM configuration, for a test fire. FSB is back on there with handguard endcap, taper-pinned in place, delta-ring barrel nut holding it all down. The test is easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy (as @washguy would say)... Good thing I recorded my ejection pattern on the last test fire... If my ejection pattern changes to "the easier side" in the least on this one, it means the gas block is covering part of the barrel's gas port, because it wasn't drilled in an appropriate place to run the handguard endcap...
  10. Good luck getting those, that I quoted.
  11. Tellin' you guys. Armalite AR-10 Carbine Recoil System, Armalite AR-10 Carbine gas tube, and a gas port from 0.073" to 0.085" fixed this gun. You're welcome, PSA. Your customer will be happy with his new rifle that works. Now.
  12. Just sayin'... he pulls up to the Casa - FIRST ONE HERE LAST FALL!!! He opens his door to get out and 23 of those bastards jumped out before him!... He shouts, "TOOK ME 23 HOURS TO GET HERE!!! WOOO!!!..." Swore I though I'd heard @Rsquared pull up...
