  1. Make sure that A2 buttstock kit includes the 5/8" A2 buttstock spacer, and the longer vented buttstock screw for the A2 stock. I don't see that in their description, but you need to call them and make sure -you need those parts. If they're selling that as a "kit," then those are parts that should DEFINITELY be included in their "kit." Smack that ass before it smacks you... You can't put together a functional rifle without those parts...
  2. This is what "friends do for friends" here... Sige, I don't know if you realize this yet... but you're already sucked in. No kidding, it's already "too late" to get away. Yeah, no joke - you're trapped here. I hope you're content with the confines of your cell, because there's no hope of escape. Yeah, I know what you're thinking now... "I can get OUT of this..."... No, you can't. You're in. And you're screwed... Welcome to .308AR.com, brother!!! *** Leave your wallet at the door, tell us what your vision is, and don't question the charges on your card... trust us, you'll get what you're after... ***
  3. Fuk... Throw a no-shiit A2 stock on it for that big MFer... He needs it... .308AR rifle-length recoil components will be mandatory, for that setup. I'd still recommend the Armalite EA1095 spring for it, but make sure you get a .308-based rifle buffer, and not an AR15 -based rifle buffer...
  4. You won't be disappointed with that LaRue MBT2 trigger - I love the two I have. Two comparable rifles - Mk12 Mod 0 has a Geissele Hi-Speed Match DMR trigger in it - and that is a badass trigger in a badass rifle. Mk 12 Mod 1 has the LaRue MBT2 trigger in it. I'm not about to take out that LaRue MBT2 trigger because the Mod 1 rifle doesn't shoot as good and the Mod 0. Nothing like that. You will like that trigger.
  5. MagPul MOE Fixed Carbine Stock. See if you can sell him on that one, in black, of course. Or, an A1 stock, which will be shiny black plastic. Not an A2 stock setup, unless he's unusually large - A2 on a 308 platform is quite the length-of-pull...
  6. Yeah. That happened. In camp last week, he told us of this new guy that would be showing up. "Give him some slack, he's kind of difficult - don't ban him right away, just get a feel for him first... " And, here you are!...
  7. That's how he shoots, too...
  8. That is damn cool, Neil. Very. That Desmond Doss quote has me thinking of this:
  9. That poor cooler is taking some punishment...
  10. Oh, I think he's seeing some benefits, already...
  11. Unbelievable source. What Dave did, no one else in this industry ever offered us...
  12. Toolcraft is VERY solid. Toolcraft is the manufacturer for ALOT of the OEM AR makers, and has been for a very long time. You cannot go wrong there. I'd also say DWilson BCGs, but those are no longer available to the public. We need to find out where those are going now, who picked those up...
  13. The X-Mark Pro trigger is a POS. I set it as light as it would go, even removing the adjustment screw completely, and it still sucks. It's out. Timney going in shortly. The Timney 517 @ 2.5lbs will be the one. I can't get away from this scope, either. This is gonna be the one for this rifle. Nikon Black X1000 6~24x50 in MRAD, illuminated...
  14. Yep. I wouldn't hesitate to get a Nitrated BCG, in the least. Black nitride, nitrated, QPQ, and any of the other names for it. They're typlically a little less expensive than NiB, as well.
  15. Man, I'm sorry I missed your msgs last weekend. Lot's of activity, and spotty comms out there... What you're describing is a recoil system mis-match in parts... That's the only reason that BCG body will contact the lower receiver. Please list the parts in the recoil system - internal depth on the receiver extension, buffer type and length, spring length (coil count and overall relaxed length, and wire diameter if you can). I don't know if that would affect the Elf trigger function - but it's not impossible.
  16. That's a solid decision, right there. Welcome aboard. I just finished another build on that setup, AP upper, lower, handguard, in DPMS pattern. Used all Armalite AR-10 guts. Armalite AR-10 Carbine recoil system complete, Armalite AR-10 13.5" barrel, complete AR-10 BCG, and Armalite 3-Gun brake to get that barrel over 16" OAL. Runs flawless. Armalite guts do run in DPMS-based receivers. DPMS guts will run in Armalite AR-10 receivers (but I don't know why anyone would do that...)... I would suggest that if you're running a collapsible stock setup, that you run the Armalite AR-10 Carbine recoil system - if you do, it's one less thing to troubleshoot and diagnose on a DPMS-based 308AR, because it WILL run flawlessly. If you end up with a cycling issue, it will not be because of mis-matched recoil system components...
  17. Tanner showed up!!!
  18. That means her "researches and staffers" suck. I'm alright with everything that they think they know, but don't. And left off her "list." Gun-Grabbing Politicians just plain suck a$s...
  19. I'm impressed by the accomplishments of generations past, and I'm even more impressed, and grateful, to those that are still keeping up the fight. This is not an easy world to serve in, in these times. It's a pretty convoluted battlefield, and a tough fight.
  20. Yes.... Damnit.... In 5.56 AND .308...
  21. They are all over it with this - that's GREAT news.
  22. Wow, if you read that linked document, she had staffers looks up every kind of manufacturer that they could, and specifically list them. It's troubling that she just wants to ban Olympic Arms completely...
  23. She won't stop. Ever. She needs to just retire, and go somewhere and STFU.
  24. These are sweet - AP knocked it outta the park. As much as I don't want to say it, the Air Force one is the baddest of the bunch here... https://aeroprecisionusa.com/veterans-day-2017.html?sc_src=email_2462733&sc_lid=139276789&sc_uid=djONP5e7of&sc_llid=90640&utm_source=Emarsys&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Holiday+Sales+-+Veteran's+Day+Military+Builder+Sets+(GENERAL)2017-11-10+20%3A11%3A00&sc_eh=43b8238c5b3a6fbe1 Look at that AF M4E1 setup... That thing is sweet!
