  1. I'm gonna have to strip search you, like in 2012 - when you tried to get away with my Kimber Ultra RCP... This is one sexy little bastard, right here, brother. I'm gonna like this one. I'm not shooting it until you guys get here.
  2. Softer than .308 Winchester, honestly. I don't know why, but that .338 Fed shoots softer. No kidding. I've had others here try it out, and it's a shock to them, too.
  3. I think I helped someone recently, when they were asking about that outfit - the results were not positive. Their business structure reminds me alot of Universal Mania - and those fuckers COMPLETELY SUCK!!! My $0.02, based on comparisons of reviews from Delta Team Tactical, and my own personal experience on how bad Universal Mania REALLY DOES SUCK. Universal Mania sucks THAT BAD. First-hand experience, Universal Mania is a waste of time - they suck. I hope that hits their search engines.
  4. Hear hear. Just installed a "new" one tonight - brand new purchased, brand new manufactured EA1095 spring. We'll beat the shiit out of it in a few weeks and see how it does. Bring lots of .308 Win ammo, brothers, and we'll try to kill it. And keep a round count.
  5. Brother, you controlled some Johnson's... You're saying...
  6. There's a very specific reason I referenced/recommended the Barnes 70 TSX in the 5.56 for you. That projectile has been gettin' it done for quite awhile now. It's successful on animal hunting, but research some military "brown tip" ammo...
  7. Why not? It's highly possible. Just takes practice. Long Range Hunting has been around for a very, very long time. Most of the people that you hear about though, are reference as "Snipers." There are more and more "Hunters" doing it now, and it's becoming more and more practical to take longer shots. It's not just from a technology standpoint (fancy scopes and what not) but from an evolution in powder, bullet, and firearms components manufacturing. Get after that shiit, brother. With the proper equipment, I wouldn't hesitate taking an ethical hunting shot on a 2-legged vermin at 600 yards. 5.56 will do just fine in that role, and can go even longer. With different equipment, the ranges increase. I don't know why we worry about that on the same-sized 4-legged variety.
  8. You NAILED IT, Bubba. Very well said, my good man, very well said. What Mike (Magwa) stated reminds me of a movie line - but a very good one, for a movie line...
  9. I can't believe he WON AGAIN!!! Waterboarding with MGD. I'm NOT holding him down, though - you fuckers need to do it...
  10. I have a 16" Wilson Combat barrel in .338 Federal, and it's a great barrel. Fantastic, in all ways. EDIT - Details of it are in here:
  11. As far as I know, the only pins that fit the AP M5 setup are - Aero pins, made for it. I have 3 of them built now, and I haven't found anything else that works.
  12. T-Rex is going off, as well, over HR 3999... Everyone needs to wake up on this. Everyone. I'm not turning my shiit in. No way.
  13. Now I'm on a Trey Gowdy roll... Hit 8:00 in this vid, if you don't want to watch it all. It's all good, though...
  14. Look for this at the bottom of the screen, in that video. Let's find more of that info... Dig it up, men...
  15. Watch this guy's eyes, in the beginning of the interview - he is LYING. Neuro LInguistic Programming. Look into some NLP.
  16. Here's the Witch, herself, explaining it all...
  17. Here's MAC's view on it - and this has been discussed here alot already.
  18. He also made the same post on ARF... Seems like all the detailed info went to ARF and M4C, but that's alright. I think he's the only one having this issue with a Tubb Flatwire spring.
  19. That 25-45 so far is a good one, with a 90gr GameKing - SS was right, with what he said - I snookered him into loading that projectile. I haven't hunted anything with it yet, but it is a hell of alot more punch than any 5.56 I've tested it against. 300BLK is another option. That thing is plug-n-play, just use a 300BLK barrel. You use all your standard .308 diameter bullets, and there are Barnes TSX that will work WELL in a BLK build. They make a 130gr TSX .308 bullet that would be ideal in a 300BLK hunting rifle, supersonic speeds and all. For your situation, wanting something small and 5.56-ish, that's what I'd do. 16" 300BLK build. Nothing will get away within 200 yards.
  20. Wondering where you got that info from. Sounds impossible. If the buffer and spring are removed from the receiver extension, they are placing zero pressure or stress on the buffer detent. Maybe I'm not understanding what you're trying to state.
  21. Sawman speaks.
  22. barrel - I didn't realize you were talking about the block until I posted. I posted about the block, above. 0.125", max. Ever.
  23. ^^^That's in the barrel. Port size on the gasblock should always be 0.125". That's the max. It's the max size you can drill in a gas tube, which means it's the max size you can have in a gas block, and the max in a barrel. It doesn't go any higher than that - because of the gas tube diameter, and the max hole you can drill in it.
  24. From what I've gather about port size and caliber on this board, 0.100" always seems to get it done, no matter what barrel length, caliber, whatever. I'm not saying drill it to that, right away. Find out what you have first, let us know, and go up in every single drill-size increment from there (what you have)... Just what I've seen...
