  1. I'm shocked at the powders listed - we're still using Varget and RL-15 to push these fat bastards! I'M. IN.
  2. Here's the info on the .308 Win 212s, but the C.O.L. listed is 3.000". Not gonna work in a mag-fed .308AR.
  3. Hornady 10 load manual changes all that. Loading 220s at 2.800 C.O.L. now. .308 Win travelling at well beyond subsonic, but helpful in suppressed use. Hornady 9 manual only listed up to 195 BTHPs loaded to 2.800 C.O.L. This new stuff changes everything. And 1:10 won't cut it as well as the (even) faster twists.
  4. Sonofabitch, Pappy!
  5. ^^^ THAT'S what I say, as well... Two with one shot. There's no such thing as "coincidence..." The other case - IF the barrel wasn't POINTED at son #2, by son #1, then... he wouldn't have been hit. Muzzle awareness.
  6. I had no idea you even knew what tears were... Heartless bastard...
  7. Oh, I tried - several times I tried. There wasn't any "listening" going on from your side, though. None. I moved on. Try to lead a horse to water, then try to make that horse drink - doesn't work. Glad you're moving forward with the project, though.
  8. That's a bit of screwy logic, or careful word-smithing on their part, that completely screws the principle of the NFA trust in the first place. Only those that are ON the trust at the time of NFA-Item Transfer (i.e., stamp-approval time) are allowed to single-possess that item. So, if I have a grand-kid, and 21 years down the road, I want to add him to my trust - he can't touch shiit by himself, even though he'd be one of the Trustees... Fucked up...
  9. Aaaaaaah, Washington this time of year - WET! And for the next 100 days! I miss that place, seriously.
  10. AWESOME, Doc!!!
  11. Here is Remington's response about that "new" 60 Minutes story, issued by Remington on 22 Feb 2017: http://www.guns.com/2017/02/22/remington-responds-to-60-minutes-story-on-the-dangers-of-the-model-700/ http://www.guns.com/2017/02/22/remingtons-response-to-60-minutes/ And, straight from the horse's mouth: https://www.remington.com/news/2017/remington-responds-60-minutes
  12. Here's the "news" that restarted all this shiit again. Aired on 60 Minutes on 19 Feb 2017. http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/the-remington-700/ http://www.cbsnews.com/news/popular-remington-700-rifle-linked-to-potentially-deadly-defects/
  13. Here's the direct link to the recall contained in that article quote in the first post in this thread: http://xmprecall.remington.com/ Now, check THIS shiit out... Open the link to the recall in THIS thread... Twins. Takes you to THE SAME PAGE... So, there is NOT a "new recall" or "another recall" on the Rem 700 or the XMP trigger...
  14. ^^^ That link right there, INSIDE that article... That is the OLD link to the Remington Recall, when they first announced this recall. It's not another, or a new recall. Some a$$hole just published his news story with a date of 20 Feb 2017, because he JUST watched that "newest" 60-Minutes bullshiit...
  15. 31 March, 1 and 2 April... Let's get it goin'...
  16. Damnit, these pics have to be HUGE on resolution...
  17. Lemme see if this works... Damnit, I'm gonna get this...
  18. No shiit... We have a problem with the description of "last weekend in March..." Let's pick some dates, So Matt can get some tickets... 24, 25, 26 March... is the last full weekend in March. 31 March, 1, 2 April is the following weekend...
  19. Here's what that shiit looked like then, and now...
  20. They were dropping bags of rocks into the Emergency Spillway at Oroville. That shiit only ran over for a little while, and it fucked up the hillside, caused SERIOUS erosion. At that point, they got skeered, and dumped MORE water through the Main Spillway, and fucked it up even more. Their only answer for the Emergency Spillway was to dumpin helicopter-rockbags, and have cement mixers pour cement slurry into it. No bags of rocks were ever dropped into the Main Spillway damage area. Ever.
  21. Motherfucker woulda found out that he brought a knife to a gunfight...
  22. It's WAY more torn up than this now, but we won't see pics for awhile...
  23. However, you're fear-mongering the other dams right now - and they don't have ANY problems, man! Zero. That's some fake-ass news if I've ever seen it. What's the failure potential on any of these dams in Cali that you've mentioned?... Back when the Oroville damage was little, like this... here's some perspective...
  24. Those dams aren't in any danger, Mike. Flood, Rain, Snow-melt runoff, whatever. They're not in any danger. However, the ONE dam you DIDN"T mention is all fucked up. The Oroville Dam.
