    Go Henry!

^^^ I flew this guy in, prior to purchase, just to check the prospective Marlington (Marlin - Remington) out - before i bought it. He passed my Marlin 1895 GBL, so I bought it.
  2. Yes. Gently. That's the most "learning" you'll get in as ass-kicking. When it's given to you "gently..." The Rules for Gunfighting come into play - but they are the rules for all fights, generally speaking. This one in particular: Be polite. Be professional. But, have a plan to kill everyone you meet. This message is Tom-Ass approved...
  3. David Lozeau. Saw this guy's artwork in a gallery in Prescott, AZ. Need some. Want some. It's just badass... https://www.davidlozeau.com/
  4. By the time any of us would actually need one of those devices, the Rule Of Law would have previously gone RIGHT OUT the window...

It's obvious that recoil moved the pistol back a little, right before the shot was snapped - you can see if from the bigass gas cloud in front of the barrel... That's one baaaaad little bastard.
  6. This whole thing is more of a crooked California National Guard problem, with it's leadership IN the California National Guard, than anything else. For those that aren't aware, each state National Guard is run by the Governor. Each state National Guard answers to the Governor. They're just a call-up for national forces, in time of need, but they answer to the state, first and foremost. Crooked leadership offered fraudulent bonuses to people that didn't qualify for said bonuses. Soldiers took that bonus, signed on, and got paid. Later down the road, we find out that a bunch of guys fraudulently received bonuses that they weren't entitled to. Here's the real question... it's OBVIOUSLY not the Soldier's individual fault that they signed (re-enlisted) for a bonus. But they're the ones on the hook to repay it. Let's find out who the motherfukers were that are REALLY at fault here. And, make THEM pay back all those fraudulent bonuses that others received, because of their incompetence, stupidity, whatever-afflicted-them-at-the-time...
  7. So many questions to be asked, from such a simple statement from the OP...
  8. That's NORMAL. For most 5.56 rifles... Don't be spending money on parts, just because you thought brass should be dropping at your feet. If the ejection pattern was why you think you need an adjustable gas block, then slap yourself. if the recoil is why you think you need an adjustable gas block, then slap yourself again. Shoot your rifle. Alot. Once YOU can outshoot the gun - then start looking at parts that will make the gun better.

    AZ Shootfest 2016

I wish you could get over here for this, brother. I really do. If we make it a multi-day event, do you have a chance?... Matt Cross needs to expend ammo. ALOT of ammo...

    AZ Shootfest 2016

It's as solid as "somewhere between Christmas and New Year's" right now. The easy answer is... come out here and we'll camp for a week... We need Matt's input for the solid dates. His flight schedule determines it all. Mi casa su casa. He's got my house, too, for the duration.

Yep, if it's stripped, it's "Other." Nothing more. That dealer didn't transfer a Long Gun, and he didn't transfer a Handgun. He transferred an "Other." That's the only way a stripped lower is supposed to go, as Other. AOW has nothing to do with this, unless a dealer is transferring a fully-built firearm that meets the AOW classification.

Mikey - this part is the only recorded part by the dealer/seller that lists what it is:

Transfers as "Other" man... It's not a rifle, and it's not a pistol. It's a stripped lower. Doesn't matter what you build it into. It's a stripped lower.
  16. That's pretty damn slick, brother.
  17. Same here - he ran out of the blems, and sent me a perfect set of equipment - upper, lower, rail. Chris Riedeman is an outstanding person to work with.
  18. That scares me, brother - she's mean enough as-is!

They only transfer as: Pistol Rifle Other

Are you talking about an entire built lower? Or a stripped lower?

No pistol build can have a vertical grip, at all. Otherwise, it's not a "pistol" anymore. That's BATFE, and it doesn't matter what any state says about it. Adding a vertical grip to a pistol build converts it directly into an AOW, and you have to pay for it and wait, through BATFE. If it's a pistol, and it's over 26" long, it falls into some weirdass category. That's how Franklin Armory got over on the AFT, and made this thing, WITH a vertical grip... http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2011/10/foghorn/franklin-armorys-new-ar-15-is-neither-a-pistol-nor-a-rifle/

Pretty sure that if it's a rifle, it must be at least 26" long; minimum overall length length for rifles, as well as 16" minimum barrel length. Pistols don't care about minimum length.
  23. Good heads-up. I've got the Barney Barrel Nut Wrench in my toolbox as well...
  24. Hell yes! HOT handloads - even though he says "they're warm..." I'm in that club, too...
