Crush washers are definitely easier - not sure about better, if you'll never run a suppressor. No crush washers for suppressor use, but other than that, they rock.

I've seen some shiity .30-cal crush washers recently, but... a GOOD crush washer has 540 degrees of rotation. 1.5 turns all the way around. DSG sells the good ones, if in doubt. With a good crush washer, you shouldn't have an issue lining up a muzzle device.

So, you have a light rifle weight of 87 ounces - and it's unusable because it has no sights on it. Then you go to 7lbs because you have a heavy scope... Why don't you put a set of back up sights on this damn thing, come up with a REAL weight for a usable rifle, and see what that is... Seems like you've gone to some "bragging rights" bullshiit weight of a rifle - with no damn sights on it, so it's junk - so it's a junk weight you gave. Make the thing fucking work, and list the weight of that - without the "heavy scope..."

62 is still good, brother - sling lead! I love it!!! Here's what I do - I set it at 30, hit it 3 times hard at 30 and see where I'm at on the 3rd time, kinda "how far do I have to go?..." Then I set the wrench at 80, and set the barrel nut in place. If it seats and I "don't click," then it's good. I don't worry about what the specific torque was, as long as it didn't click on 80...

Okay - I'm relieved - that buffer wouldn't have run for shiit in a standard 7" receiver ext. I think the trigger thing was parts-mating-together... that buffer in the ext dry? No light lube on the buffer or spring?

You running the receiver extension that Aero gave you? AR10 buffer is too long for that extension, by about 5/8".

I'll dig mine out in the next few days and get some pics up - it's very odd, in JT's pics above ^^^ to see a full lug on the extractor. With a full lug on the extractor, it's gonna be damn hard to single-load a round in the chamber and drop the bolt carrier on it - it's not gonna have the room to deflect upward (outward) inside the chamber to get over that dropped-in round... I think... Never seen a full lug on an extractor before. EDT - Eff me, I didn't even catch this when I got it - full lug on the extractor. Now, I'm trying to remember if I dropped the BCG on a chambered round or not. I'll test that soon. Not gonna do it in the house, you know, just because... :)
