  1. I think I've talked about the Powder Alarms here before - literally, it was a very instrumental part in why the Revolutionary War started in the first place - The British decided that seizing the powder was the way to ensure they wouldn't get shot - no powder, no operational firearms (long guns), and then there is no threat. Everyone in America, at that point, is subjugated. This is part of the history taught during an Appleseed Shoot - the entire portion of the Powder Alarms is taught as "The Three Strike of the Match" - the three times the British seized, or attempted to seize, the powder magazines. Read this book - it goes all into it: Paul Revere's Ride, by David Hackett Fischer. It's available at the Appleseed Store: http://store.rwvaappleseed.com/page11.html
  2. Seekins Precision and Aero Precision have nothing to do with each other, man - two completely separate, independent companies, and neither one makes any parts for the other.
  3. SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!
  4. Hell yeah, brother. Don't pay ANY attention to the G instructions on the Super Gas Block - they'll state that you can't mill it/drill it for the permanent mount with coil pin - with a hand drill. Yes, you can. I've done two that way, and they're flawless. Talk to me before you do it, though. I just got that same buttstock for my Matrix setup - it's pretty damn nice. Take a peek inside the stock, down the tube-hole, when you get it - they made this thing right.
  5. Brother, you know I'd vote for a complete PRI Mk12 upper, on anybody else's complete lower, for the guy. However, the complete DD Mk12 is a bad MoFo. Check it out when you get a chance. https://danieldefense.com/firearms/daniel-defense-mk12.html Comes in a gray color, too. Sick. I'm not usually one to pimp complete rifle, but this fucker is badass... The evolution of the SPR comes home to Daniel Defense in the MK12. Born of necessity, raised in the Army’s Marksmanship Unit and refined to Daniel Defense Mil-Spec+ standards, it is now available. The MK12 is constructed around an 18-inch Stainless Steel barrel with a chamber created during the Cold Hammer Forging process, which ensures the most precise alignment of the chamber to the bore possible. This, along with being salt bath nitride finished, equates to unprecedented accuracy and durability. The MK12 barrel is engineered with a rifle-length direct impingement gas system and utilizes the MK12 gas block, which is built to Crane Specifications for USSOCOM. The MK12 gas block is precision CNC machined from 416 stainless steel and Black Oxide Coated. The rifle is fed with a M16 profile bolt carrier group and uses a Vltor Mod 4 charging handle for ease of operation. The upper receiver is equipped with a free floating DDM4 Rail 12.0™ quad rail for allowing your choice of optics and accessories and is finished off with a Daniel Defense Improved Flash Suppressor. The MK12 was designed from the ground up to be a precision rifle, therefore it required certain refinements. We equipped it with the Geissele SSA® 2-Stage Trigger to give the marksman an advantage delivering precise fire to the target. We also furnished the MK12 with the newly designed, rugged and comfortable Daniel Defense Buttstock and Pistol grip. 6. The trigger instructions stated that the lighter 4.5# will give an improved feel, and the 6.0# will keep you at the military minimum weight. If you were to have issues with mil surplus ammo or hard-primered ammo, you remove the 4.5# and install the 6#. Damn good upgrade to an already fine trigger set, right in the package.
  7. THAT is great news!!! Sounds like an October Shoot is in order! Hell Yeah!!!
  8. Here's where it's stalled at, right now. Making progress - just slow progress.
  9. ^^^ Should work - I think I figured out the problem with it, so it'll need a little file-work on the receiver extension, if I'm right... Give it a shot, brother, and I'll get details up about the issue/fix.
  10. He is - he's active in what's going on, trust me.
  11. breaststroker, just a note for you here - all you're doing with the "Gen 1" talk is confusing new people. There's only ONE company making a Gen 2, and that's the DPMS. There is no "Gen 1" out there. It's just a regular 308AR platform, or it's the DPMS Gen 2. That's it. Just thought you'd like to know, so you can drop the confusing talk. All you're doing with it is fucking up newbies.
  12. Interesting note on the ALG ACT trigger - just received another one today. It's shipping with two springs now - 4.5lb and 6.0lb. Very smooth, very nice feel to it with the lighter spring.
  13. Alright, brother, you're getting a little antsy already - here's a sneakpeek. Just got it together tonight, so I have no idea what it weighs. The barrel is the Faxon 16" midlength pencil barrel, the rail is the ALG V1 M-LOK 10" rail. 6.13oz for the rail, including the barrel nut. PA microdot on a Fortis mount. The buttstock is temporary, because Mike rushed me and I couldn't get the correct buttstock that's gonna go on it. I'm gonna shoot it like this on Sunday, and change out the buttstock later. It's light, overall - damn light.
  14. I used an 8" 300BLK barrel from Ares on the short 300BLK. Good barrel.
  15. I can't see how this is an issue... LMAO!
  16. TP9
  17. Exactly - "end of summer shoot" should be late october or early november. Nooooo, Mike need to do it on Labor Day, when it's gonna be 110... EDIT - Ooops, my bad. It's projected to be 104 on Sunday...
  18. Jacob, give it until after this weekend, and I'll have a lightweight build posted up, brother.
  19. I'm trying to get a guy from work to come out - also trying to get a particular female from work to join us - unsure on that yet. BlueMike, no matter how the festivities go on Saturday night - on Sunday, you'll still be in good enough shape to hold onto the floor... LMFAO!!! Because CrazyMike pushed this up, I had to order a shiitload of stuff last night. I didn't get exactly everything I wanted, and I'm certain that I fucked myself on some Labor Day deals, by ordering the week before - thanks, CrazyMike. I'll have a new rifle running on Sunday. Not in it's peak form, with some standby parts, but it'll be running. I did NOT get the longer range steel put in yet, up in the hills. I won't get that done before this event. Maybe we'll do it that morning.
  20. I do believe this is all highlighted for a couple reasons - MSM needs to keep these types if news stories going, and there is a plan. 1st - it's shocking. It's unbelievable that people - criminals, thugs, shitbags - are directly targeting police officers. 2nd - the more of these stories that are out there, and the more coverage they get, makes it easier to get the Gen Pop all pissed off and go along with some type of national/federal control over local law enforcement. I seriously think that there IS an agenda moving in that direction - and it's moving fast.
  21. Damn nice looking SBR!
  22. And now there's a manhunt underway in/near Chicago for 3 armed fukbags that killed another police officer. This shiit is outta control. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/09/01/manhunt-on-for-gunman-after-cop-reportedly-killed-in-chicago/?intcmp=hpbt1
  23. BWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!! LMAO!
  24. That is pretty damn cool - you are STRAPPED INTO THAT THING!!! Damn! Where does your sling attach at the front?
  25. I haven't noticed it for a few days now - maybe it was something that has already been worked out?...
