I've talked about this very thing here. This very thing. The "expert" that I was addressing here in that conversation felt the need to state that he just finished his concealed carry class, and his instructor advised them this was one of the "tells" that someone was carrying. No fucking $hit - the "tell" should be the visible sidearm on my hip, that fucking dumbass... What you do open carry must be different than what you do concealed carry - but alot of the two mentalities cross over to each other. You benefit from both, if you practice and do both. If you open carry, you need to be aware of this. I open carry often. MG nailed it with this statement: Head on a swivel. You need to have your head on a swivel, even if you're NOT carrying a firearm. I'm just sayin'...

Who wants to go shooting in Tucson after Christmas?

Brother, the biggest container we had available was 2-liter soda jugs, and we crammed one with 3.5lbs of the mix. That was the last vid up there. I'll find a bigger container. <thumbsup> I still have 4.5lbs in one of the bags you sent, and another 3lbs of my stuff, so we have a "bigger charge" coming in the near future, for sure. We worked up today - those skinny little water bottles you buy in 12-packs at the grocery store hold about 1.25lbs of tannerite. Next up was one of those American Eagle plastic mini-ammo cans for .223 Rem ammo. That holds 2lbs. I'll find a big jug, brother, and set it off. :hethan: 2lbs in one of these: -
I like the Tubb CWS. Have it in two rifles, for two different reasons, and it works very, very well. <thumbsup>

Welcome from AZ, also - We'll get you out on a shoot, depending on where you are. Lots of us here - us Arizonans are the brains and brawn of this place! <lmao>

^^^ That was intentional - I was waiting for someone to say something... <lmao> Jon's video will be better, when he posts it up. I had the solid backplate on the GoPro, instead of the vented one, so the sound is very low. The solid backplate is supposed to be used for filming "over 100mph..." <laughs> -
The Millett DMS-1 is a good scope, and under your price range. I've got 2 of them, and like them. The reticle is pretty damn good, and a circle-dot setup. The center dot is 1MOA. Washes out in bright daylight, but you still have the circle-dot setup visible in black. I wrote the first one up here when I got it, sometime in summer 2010. That thread is somewhere here.

It was chilly. Jon opened the range at 0800, and blue was there right away. It was something like 30 or 32 degrees at my house at 0800. I didn't leave until 0920, and it was still under 40. I got there around 1030, and it was still decently chilly - put on gloves to unload everything (which took forever). It was probably up to 50 at some point in the day, and stayed up there until the sun started going down. -
The speedometer explanation goes a long way. Easy explanation of what parallax is, but doesn't necessarily explain how it impacts shooting. Zebra knocked that one outta the park already. The Speedometer. You're driving, and holding the Speedo needle straight-up on 60mph. You can see that easily. If your passenger looks over from the passenger seat, it will look like the needle is below 60. That's parallax. That's also why your wife always gets so pissed when you're driving. <lmao>

YEAH!!! :hethan: Meeting up with everyone was awesome, as usual! Meeting new people is the icing on the cake - Beach (Jacob)... Damn good to meet you, my good man, as well as your wife, your Dad and your little brother. That little brother has some shooting skills. Don't let Beach fool you guys about it being hard to motivate his wife to shoot - SHE SHOT THE 338 LAPUA MAGNUM!!! Blue, I don't know if you noticed or not, but when you shot the 460, I ran over there to eat some recoil... <lmao> I avoided it after that... <laughs> Jacob's dad had the 500 S&W Magnum lever gun, and I put a a couple out of that monster. Thank god that thing is a rifle, and not a pistol. Holy Sheeit! Thank him again when you talk to him - thanks for bringing out the 338 LM and the LAR 50. That thing was insane. -

Be there around 10am. With Tannerite and IPSC targets. -
F-marked FSB is for a carbine gas system, to give it the same adjustability as a rifle-length gas system. F-marked FSB wouldn't do any good in this instance, with a 20" barreled-weapon.

Damn, that pistol looks great!!!

For the record, SS called this one right outta the gate. This is exactly what happened, and he NAILED IT... http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2014/12/26/interview-release-marked-by-capacity-crowds/

HOOOOO-LEEEEEEE SHEEEEIT!!! RAY!!! Damn, you guys - I've know Ray for a little while. 'Bout 8 years worth of "little while." <lmao> Dirk told me I was missing a thread, and needed to look for it, so I've been reading all kinds of $hit that I'd been missing. I think this is the one he'd told me about. <laughs> WTF are you building, man?
-
That DD furniture is good stuff. I've fondled it on full rifles, and like it. Been trying to figure out another build that will include it. <thumbsup>

...not gonna say it, not this time... <lmao> -
I have my moments... I also read this thread from the beginning, like I was reading it for the first time. The whole time, I'm thinking dejavu... <lmao> Seen this $hit before somewhere, and... GOT IT!
-
Don't do 3rd-gear wheelies across intersections, whilst on the motor, and your Crossbows will last longer... <lmao> Don't EVEN think I forgot about that story, mister... <laughs>

Zero rain there in the last week, and nothing predicted through this weekend, brother. Drive the fuel-saver! -
Oakley, Wiley X, and ESS glasses. I've had all three brands issued at one point or another, and they excel in eye protection. Hell, I've been wearing Oakleys since the first pair of Eyeshades came out in the early '80s. Still have a pair in a box somewhere. ESS Crossbows are my favorite so far. Those things are great.

G2S is the exact same performance of the SSA. Only a few differences in the manufacture. Every SSA is numbered/laser engraved, and every one is MP tested. The G2S is made from the same tool steel as the SSA, holds the hammer pin in a different manner, isn't laser marked, and batches are MP spot checked. The G2S is every bit as great a trigger as the SSA.

We're not testing your "hot 10mm loads..." <lmao> I'll shoot that damn .460 first... <laughs> -
If you have too much gas pressure, it makes the BCG/bolt want to start the unlocking process too early. That can have a negative impact on accuracy. Once that projectile is out/clear of the barrel, it doesn't have an impact anymore. Up to that point, it's a possibility.

He blew an a$s-gasket, for sure. What a jackass.

WHY?... Is Rene always fukkin himself up?! <lmao> Brother Rene, this is for you, my man - and Merry Fukkin Christmas. :happydrunks:
