  1. ^^^ Very nice AP rifle - well done. <thumbsup>
  2. Happy New Year, men. :hethan:
  3. Bubba, who did the work on the rail? Can't even tell it was modified, so that's some damn good work. <thumbsup>
  4. I'm thinking about picking yours up. :))
  5. Here's what I've been able to dig up on the SIG Brace drama going on right now: For the first three links, it's chronological order - oldest first, and down. http://www.shootingsportsretailer.com/2014/11/19/could-this-mean-the-end-of-the-sig-brace/ http://www.shootingsportsretailer.com/2014/11/25/law-blog-atf-hasnt-changed-sig-brace-ruling-yet/ http://www.shootingsportsretailer.com/2014/12/23/atf-closing-in-on-illegal-use-of-ar-pistol-brace/ This one is just from a couple days ago: http://gunssavelives.net/gun-industry/breaking-atf-issues-new-opinion-letter-stating-that-shouldering-sig-brace-is-illegal/ Based on the original determination, I think we'll be fine with the SB15 brace on an AR pistol. Gonna be really hard for them to backtrack that original determination.
  6. I love it, Ray!!! I'm not feeling very well right now - blue gave me his Ebola at the range-day festivities. I'll try to give you a shout tomorrow afternoon, after work. <thumbsup>
  7. Whoa! I thought he was talking about a gap on the .308 set! <lmao> Ray, what's got a gap, and how much?! <laughs>
  8. It is a .308 80% he's working on. Silly.
  9. Damnit! I probably posted in that thread, too. Pulled a "Jon..." <lmao>
  10. Fuckin awesome picture.
  11. He's done it again - but this ride is WICKED!!!
  12. Not even a resemblance to hamburger, once those bastards get through with someone... <lmao>
  13. Hey brother, didn't mean to make it sound like only a few people can do 1k yards with this cartridge - not the case. With the right amount of elevation adjustment in the scope, it's not bad. You just have to account for wind to get it there. You can take it further, too. Routinely taking it to 1,500 is gonna require a badass rifle setup, and you doing your part everytime. On the gap between receivers - 0.060" is a pretty thick feeler gauge. Does that go all the way through both sides? Or, is that rocking the upper in the lower, and getting that kind of gap on one side? Seems excessive, but I haven't measured any of mine for that gap before.
  14. crimson, I'm glad this is sorting out, and the build is progressing. However... HOW IN THE HELL DID I MISS THAT JACKASS?!!? :bat: :rant2:
  15. Not a Pic of the Day, but a vid. Here's a new one from Mat Best... <laughs>
  16. ^^^ laughed my a$s off when I saw that comment... <lmao>
  17. Beach has one, and brought it out last Sunday - I like that rifle! His setup is very well thought out, too. The MI keymod VERY SMALL diameter handguard is awesome! We'll probably need him to get some pics of it in this thread... <lmao>
  18. ^^^ Yep. If it's a new rifle, unfired, then there's alot of parts that still need to mate together. It would be understandable that things will be dragging on these big heavy things. <thumbsup>
  19. 300 Win Mag will get to 1,500 yards - accurately, and with a decent amount of energy. 1k yard shots with the .308 are definitely doable, once you get your elevation. Checking and adjusting for the wind is tougher the longer you go - that's the hardest part. There's a big difference in 800 yard and 1,000 yard shots. That additional 200 can be a beitch. The cartridge will certainly do it. <thumbsup>
  20. DAMN! Great vid!
  21. Right on, Brother Jacob - good review below! <thumbsup> http://zombease.com/beachin-tactical-rifle-sling-review/
  22. Looks like Berger is getting some new projectiles out there. I missed it when these were announced. http://www.bergerbullets.com/what-are-the-differences-between-the-otm-tactical-classic-hunter-and-elite-hunter-bullets/ The selections look great, and the weights are right on the money for modern barrel twist rates. I need to pick some of these up and load them up. Match OTM Tactical bullets – designed for cartridges and rifles that are used in combat These Tactical bullets are designed to bridge the gap between functionality and the highest possible ballistic performance. They are designed with a specific cartridge in mind, and will be successful at either magazine feedable lengths or loaded long for single shot firing situations. They are also made with thicker jackets, allowing them to perform reliably under the most abusive conditions found in tactical competition, tactical situations and in combat. The Hybrid bullet design blends a tangent and secant ogive. This gives shooters the best of both worlds by providing the best trajectory performance, while at the same time not requiring the bullet to be tuned to a specific seating depth like the VLD bullets. Now Available: – 22 cal 77 gr Match OTM Tactical – 30 cal 175 gr Match OTM Tactical – 30 cal 185 gr Match OTM Tactical Juggernaut (which means Transonic Stable) – 30 cal 230 gr Match Hybrid OTM Tactical – 338 cal 250 gr Match Hybrid OTM Tactical – 338 cal 300 gr Match Hybrid OTM Tactical

    Merry Christmas

Haha! True! Last summer at work, I had a customer show up with a wrecked POS motorcycle stuff into a junk enclosed trailer. Damn trailer had a roll-up door rigged on it (and I do mean that - it wasn't original that way). I'm trying to tug this bruised up bike out, with two other guys pushing in the front of it, and I SLAMMED my mellon into the sharp edge of a piece of angle iron - that shouldn't have been there... Heads bleed, so there was blood everywhere. All I could muster was "FUK@!@@!!!" and walked out of the trailer. I'm walking through the shop, pushing on that cut as hard as I can, blood all over the place - and the rest of the guys were freaking out. They wanted to take me to the hospital, lay me down on the floor, whatever. Guess they never saw that much blood so quickly before... <lmao> I just told them to get the fuk away from me, and I'd be alright. Washed it out, dumped some kinf of anti-bactierial goop in it, and held direct pressure on it with a clean rag. It eventually stopped. No gunshot wounds, no arterial bleeding, clear airway, all my bones still pointing in the right directions - what's the reason to go to the hospital?... <lmao>
