I am an old codger, brown shoe Marine, retired oilfield engineer, retired part time licensed gunsmith, a NRA life member, NRA Rifle Pistol, Shotgun and Hunter Safety Instructor. I have several rifles pistols and shotguns, a M1 Garand that I bought for $98 from a mail order gun store in 1961, I transitioned from the M1 Cal. 30 (3006) and a BAR (3006) to the M14 (7.62 NATO .308) in the Marine Corps. I never fired or owned an M-16 AR-15 or an AR10 until yesterday when I bought a new DPMS Oracle .308 and put a 1X4 Bushnell AR scope with Burris mounts and am waiting for good weather to go to the range and do some sighting in and fun shooting. I like to hunt deer, rabbits, doves, ducks, pheasant, squirrels, feral hogs coyotes, I live in Comanche County Texas, with my wife Darlene and puppy dog Sunshine.
