shibiwan Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 14.5" M4 profile should work nicely. Get a respectable muzzle device, pin it on, and stop worrying from that point onwards.

Cali_Ed Posted December 7, 2014 Author Report Posted December 7, 2014 Besides the lantac and bcm brake any other good choices weight wise?
shibiwan Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Spike's Dynacomp. It is about $100 less than the BCM and performs similarly. The Dynacomp also comes pre-drilled and with a pin so its ready to go.

You already have a collapsible stock so therefore you're not going for a featureless build...
Cali_Ed Posted December 8, 2014 Author Report Posted December 8, 2014 (edited) Great because it's cheap too. I keep looking but I don't think I'll find a brake that's is as light as this. Edited December 8, 2014 by Cali_Ed
shibiwan Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 I guess it's age-related confusion. I was comparing the dynacomp With the battlecomp
Cali_Ed Posted December 8, 2014 Author Report Posted December 8, 2014 (edited) That battle comp looks really nice Edited December 8, 2014 by Cali_Ed
98Z5V Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 I've got the Dynacomp on two rifles - one on the GSR and one on the 16" 300BLK. Good comp.
Cali_Ed Posted December 8, 2014 Author Report Posted December 8, 2014 According to this this bcm enhanced light weight barrel with fluting weighs 1 pound .. http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-14-5-Mid-Barrel-ENHANCED-LIGHT-WEIGHT-FLUTED-p/bcm-brl-mid-14-elw-f-std.htm Or am I reading it wrong?
98Z5V Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 1lb, 4oz non fluted, 1lb, 3.5oz fluted. The fluting removes 0.5 oz from it. That's a damn light barrel, either way. For .625" gas blocks, several companies make them. Shouldn't be hard to find one. PRI always has them in stock.
Robocop1051 Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 V7 Weapon Sys has a .625 Ti low profile GB. It only weighs 22 grams!
Cali_Ed Posted December 8, 2014 Author Report Posted December 8, 2014 ^ just looked it up says 20.5 grams lol who knows what's real in the interwebz lol
Rsquared Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 To further the point of maneuverability, when that is the KEY point of a military weapons system, that is the whole reason for the development of the Mk18 system - with a 10.3" barrel. Did somebody mention the MK18? *note - I only put the MK18 pic in to make Rob drool. <lmao>
shibiwan Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 Battlecomp, Dynacomp, and the Griffin M4-SD compensator - the performance of the three are about equal. Battlecomp 2.0 ~$165 Battlecomp BABC ~$210 Spike's Dynacomp Extreme ~$90 Griffin M4SD Compensator ~$95 I have the Dynacomp on my 300 BLK, so Tom had to copy me.....
98Z5V Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 I have the Dynacomp on my 300 BLK, so Tom had to copy me..... HA! When did you build your 300BLK?...
shibiwan Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 HA! When did you build your 300BLK?... One hundred years ago.
Robocop1051 Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 One hundred years ago. Lol PS. BattleComp +1
