Brought back memories. I had an AR180 back in the late 70's and early 80's. One rifle I truly regret selling

Popular gun with the IRA as I seem to remember. Three different types were manufactured: A few in Costa Mesa, CA, some by Howa, out of Japan, and more by Sterling in England. In a lot of ways was really a blend of an AR and an AK. With that folding stock, it was small enough to shove in an internal frame backpack. Scope mount worked as advertised, and with M193 ball it was pretty accurate, and very reliable. You had to adapt AR15 magazines though by making a dremel cut for the mag holder to engage.

I regret selling it, but at the time I was just married and needed the money. Armalite modified it and brought it back, but by then, AR 15's had taken over that market niche.

  I agree with him , I won't own a firearm I will not shoot .

Back when I was a FFL , no one wanted those rifles , yes they are collector rifles now , but they did not have a good reputation or following back then .

Mine had a bushnell 4x with the factory scope mount. Wonder if your brother and now you might have the same rifle. That would be a kick.

Need to see pics of this one, or I'm calling Complete Bullsheit on it.   Show your Sterling AR180, man.  Technology isn't difficult, anymore, and you can Google ANYTHING these days.  Google up some "How do I post pics to a forum" and you can make this happen in short order.

I'll help - just hit this link:

I do want to see a photo, see if I can identify the Bushnell scope, might be the same rifle. Did you buy it in Minnesota back in the 80's?

A female named Miracle (not to be confused with Miracle Moon), was born at the family farm of Dave, Valerie, and Corey Heider near Janesville, Wisconsin on August 20, 1994. Her fur fully transitioned to brown as she matured, and she gave birth to four calves of her own before dying of natural causes on September 19, 2004. Additionally, a calf born at the Heider farm died aged 4 days in 1996. A third white calf was born in August 2006 which died after being struck by lightning in November of the same year.[1] Kathleen Buerer wrote a memoir about her 1994 visits to Miracle, "By the Side of the Buffalo Pasture".[3]

Was a pretty big deal uncle Ted even offered to buy her
