planeflyer21
Finally got it all issued where it needs to be. Looks like an intentionally faded multi-cam to me. Probably trying to avoid royalties. http://www.theverge.com/2015/6/5/8734953/operational-camouflage-pattern-release

98Z5V
Looks like the old woodland camo , amazing how it goes around & they only spent Bazilions ! Nope, no black. Black, through night vision, damn near glows... Black rifles, homeboy in the black gloves...
DNP
Speaking of glowing...the little fireflies on their foreheads point the way fairly well.

survivalshop
Nope, no black. Black, through night vision, damn near glows... Black rifles, homeboy in the black gloves... Looking at the photo of the new Camo , there is something in there that looks black & gloves are made of different material & may show up differently . Any way , spending Bazillions for the elimination of a color that is natural in nature ? Maybe not in a Desert environment , but just about any where else . <dontknow>
blue109
Spending bazillions for marginal gains (or none at all) is what we do best. I took a pretty cool color theory class. The professor showed us for the most part, the only time we see black is when we have painted something black. Most "black" in the world is just dark colors. Black starts to stand out more than neon orange. We had to do a lot of exercises painting shadows, roads, windows and things like that without using any black. Manipulating perception is pretty interesting. Edited June 8, 2015 by blue109

Blend with your surroundings. Black weeds, black grass, black trees - not so common. If they are, they black-the-fornicate-out and get your camo on, for it. This debate will rage for years. In the night, shadows are black - until you blast a SureFire HellFighter into that shadow, and expose all those bastards dressed in black, against their background - been done in Iraq. Read this - we (military) spent TONS of money to come up with the crap-tastic ACUs. What they hit in that on the black, was dead-nuts on. http://www.hyperstealth.com/acupat/ Here's another good article: http://www.lonesentry.com/articles/ttt09/camouflage.html Last but not least - dress up in your black pajamas in the middle of the night, and think you're camouflaged because it's dark. Run around in your terrain, and tell me you think you're invisible when you get your ass blasted with this thing that's hooked to a crew-served .50 or Mk19. That's 4500 lumens that projects to 1,600 meters - a mile. Tell me how safe you feel at night in your black pajamas, but because it's dark out... and your in a dirt or green backdrop. The .50 will get ya... The Mk19 will get your neighborhood... I haven't even started the night vision discussion part yet. Black fucking GLOWS in night vision. I know I've said this before. Run night vision long enough and you tend to understand it. Fuk Black...
