98Z5V Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) Aero Precision is doing something very, very cool - they are running a limited edition set of the M5 receivers in partnership with AmericanSnipers.org. Aero Precision has partnered with AmericanSnipers.org to bring you the very first Aero Precision M5 Limited Edition Receivers! These products are extremely limited in numbers with a portion of all proceeds being donated to AmericanSnipers.org, an organization aimed at supporting our military snipers and designated marksmen. Hit this to see the sets, guys - this is the ASO page on their website: http://aeroprecisionusa.com/aso.html Edited June 9, 2015 by 98Z5V

survivalshop Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 What color did you order ? I guess that's a dumb question to those living in the Desert <lmao>
planeflyer21 Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 If he didn't order FDE he'll never hear the end of it.
edgecrusher Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 I wouldn't be surprised if it was black, so he can whore out some custom cerakote paint job...
98Z5V Posted June 9, 2015 Author Report Posted June 9, 2015 ^^^ Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Greg nailed it. The black set is less expensive, and I'm gonna paint it anyway. <thumbsup>
392heminut Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 Oh, damn, I forgot to show you guys this... Ohhh...............the joys of being single! <thumbsup>
98Z5V Posted June 10, 2015 Author Report Posted June 10, 2015 Hey guys, AP wasn't kidding when they said "Limited..." The black upper/lower combo is already sold out - in a day. For upper/lower, you can only choose FDE now. The other two variations are still available (upper lower handguard, and full rifle).
Malig8r Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 I bet they produced a limited number to "get a feel" for the market and if they sell well there will be another run...
98Z5V Posted June 13, 2015 Author Report Posted June 13, 2015 Mine arrives at the FFL Monday. I'll pick it up Tuesday. Pics shortly thereafter. <thumbsup>
98Z5V Posted June 16, 2015 Author Report Posted June 16, 2015 Damn nice setup, once again. Don't know what's up with the serial numbers in the pics - that one above was ASO-0285, or something. The one I got is ASO-00XX. I have two other lowers with low numbers, so this'll fit right in with them. You bastages better hurry up, I'm just sayin'. FDE upper/lower sets still available (black gone), both colors on the upper/lower/rail are available, full rifles are sold out.
98Z5V Posted June 17, 2015 Author Report Posted June 17, 2015 They just announced the ASO .308 lower (blemished) for $125... http://aeroprecisionusa.com/aso-lower-blem.html
ironmonster Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 Bought two of those ASO Blems. Thanks for the heads up.
survivalshop Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 I like how they show a shattered hole in the scull from both sides . <thumbsup>
planeflyer21 Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 I like how they show a shattered hole in the scull from both sides . <thumbsup> And the exit is bigger.
98Z5V Posted June 18, 2015 Author Report Posted June 18, 2015 ^^^ Yep. Entry wound is 0.081", and the exit wound is 0.120"... <lmao>
