That REALLY IS a beautiful build!!!!  I was wondering, Do you find the powder coat to be very durable? Scratch resistant? Compared to the Hard coat, would you say it's close to as strong? And finally, What it anything did you do to prep the components before you powdercoated them?

The rifle is brand spanking new and hasn't seen much use yet, so I can't say for sure if it is as durable as Hard coat or not. SI-Defense did the coating and it is done both inside and out. Extra $40 and 6 weeks longer wait time! LOL!

I have the same troy mfr rail(13.8 inchs) where did you get the covers?

@Robocop - I got the Restor because I thougt it might tame the longer gas impulse the 18" barrel with the mid length gas system and I must say it works really well.  I'd say it is worth a try.

Love the Alumahyde Coyote Tan; I like it much better than their FDE, which

is what I used for my AP4.

They were out of FDE at the time, si I went to CT instead. Pretty good match to Magoul's FDE.
