We can't raise up a generation that understands cold hard facts of life and death, it's for the kids stupid! ;)
Sisco
What is gnarly is how Komodo Dragons kill larger prey. Their bite is not venomous, but they have incredibly high amounts of pathogenic bacteria in their mouth. They lay in ambush, and bite the animal. Then they follow it until it dies of an overwhelming bacterial infection two or three days later. Then, chow time!
hk1123
This is the only Komodo I feel comfortable with: Sisco - unlike the Gila Monster/Beaded Lizard - pretty cool (both the Gila and the Komodo ((most monitors are pretty badass)))

planeflyer21
That was great! Looks like that bamboo/grass served as a kind of rat trap for bushyboy. Last year for about 8 hours on and off up in Show Low, we watched Sparrowhund team up with a pair of ravens chasing a squirrel. The ravens took the pines and she had from the ground to about head height. They never did catch that jerk squirrel.
EngrBob
I understand the DNC now wants to ban Komodo Dragons for being bullies.

beantown
I love the comments of the people in the background. The one about how much better it was to see it live, versus a class on it, was priceless!
