Sisco
Nice! At the range a while back, one of the locals had a can with interchangable threaded backs that he could switch. He had one in 45, and another in 30 cal so he could use the same supressor on multiple firearms easily. I will have to look him up, but that makes some sense. sketch
Magwa way to go! I have a local lgs making his own cans with interchangable caps! I bought his parts for the .458 build and am thinking a can will be a perfect addition from him! If he finally perfects his model ( after the sig can) i will do a .45/.30 can. But his also fits .223.. titanium ect! I will keep the crew posted! My cost ? 600$ range ? Giving him 2 more weeks before i give him more money! Nice pistola!! B0fuh
Anyone with any experience here have tips to making the mags drop freely from the fnx without having to strip them per chance? Magwa, I'd be interested to know if yours is the same way too. Edited January 17, 2017 by B0fuh

Magwa
OK 1 falls free, one you can shake out, and one you have to pull out this is unacceptable, so is there a known fix? I have been reading about the issue for the last hour or so and seems like there is a issue with FN customer service well I am going to call them and see what is up .....I will not own a pistol that does not function 100%... Magwa, it is my understanding that they were designed to require stripping the magazine. All five of my magazines are the same way. The word on the grapevine has it that it was designed for consideration as a gubment issue pistol, (hence ambidextrous safety/decocker) magazines that drop freely in a firefight are more likely to be left on the ground for obvious reasons. I personally haven't done a ton of digging on it because I generally shoot the G21 if I want speed in the uspsa shoots. I'll be interested if you come up with a solution though. blue109
I've read statements from FN that they designed it that way. Not sure if it's CYA bs or they really did it on purpose. Something about magazine retention I think I saw it posted in here. .but there are videos of the empty magwell flexing inward in hot weather. Might also cause the mags to be tight. FN says the wide high cap mags forced them to make the grip area thin, but that it is still strong and no danger of breaking. planeflyer21
The sticky mag is a common European requirement. That is how the G17 was originally designed too. Nice bulgy mags. IMO just train for it to stick.

Bingo, a little muscle memory will have you forgetting that you even strip the magazine. Make sure to get some trigger time before you decide you're unhappy. You will be pleased. blue109
Remember those dudes Shadow Ops who were doing that multi-cal can thing and ended up bailing on everybody. Some local SOTs managed to get a few of them running salvaging parts from incomplete kits and reported that they were crap. Hardly any sound dampening. sketch
Shadow oops was a fast demise. Hes tested .223 and .300 and .308 so far? Subs are not quiet enough yet he says? I cant get him to meet me at the range yet. But maybe a side by side will entice him? He also has some new smith that i havent met yet? If anything ill keep him busy for a while!
